Can We Say Overwhelming, Preening, Elitist, ILLEGAL Arrogance?

Today, in my stroll through my daily reads, I ran across not one, not two, , not three, but FOUR articles at Real Clear Politics regarding the utter arrogance of Obama and his latest idiocy.

Good grief, I feel dirty even thinking the man's name--ugh. He becomes more distasteful on a minute-by-minute basis and it's getting to the point whenever I hear his name, the very next thing to cross my mind is, "Oh God, NOW what!"

Yes, he's that bad. And getting worse.

The first headline was this: "Oops! Obama's Faux Presidential Podium" at The Purple People Vote. KMorrison notes the illegality of the picture with this:

Whoever, except as authorized under regulations promulgated by the President and published in the Federal Register, knowingly manufactures, reproduces, sells, or purchases for resale, either separately or appended to any article manufactured or sold, any likeness of the seals of the President or Vice President, or any substantial part thereof, except for manufacture or sale of the article for the official use of the Government of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.
What picture? What was this little tidbit? I schlepped on over to see and found this picture:

What the hey? The next headline at RCP was this: "John McCain: Obama Seal-Progressive Fascism's Cautionary Icon" at Hickeysite and Pat Hickey had this to write about it on his site:
Like the character of Sinclair Lewis' novel [It Can't Happen Here], Buzz Windrip, Barack Obama sweeps throngs of people up in whirlwind of pagentry and windy rhetoric.
The entire article is WELL worth reading.

Moving right along at RCP, I came upon the NEXT article addressing this issue, "The Great Seal of Obamaland" at the NYT Caucus blog and a quick quote from THIS article (wow the NYT ALLOWED this dissension to be published? Sultz must be on vacation!:
Just above the eagle’s head are the words “Vero Possumus,” roughly translated “Yes we can.” Not exactly E Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One), the motto on the presidential seal and the dollar bill. Then again, Mr. Obama is not the president.
Ouch.

The final article (and most voted) was titled :"Holy Arrogance Batman! Obama 'Presidential Seal' Causes Backlash" at DONE (Democrats Over Nominating Elitists) had this to say:

It appears Obama has been in touch with Diebold and decided to let the cat out of the bag early. That’s right, voters, you can stay home. As the good half-people of Florida and Michigan learned, democracy doesn’t matter. His Highness Obama — with an assist from the wise, hardened, probing American media — has declared himself Holy American Emperor.

The unveiling of his seal is not the first time Obama has unwittingly admitted he’s already garnered enough votes to be President. In fact, he recently told a Chicago audience that’s he’s already won election and re-election:

The comments in that article are priceless.

It seems Barack Hussein Obama goes out of his way to show his arrogance, snobbery, elitism and disdain for "ordinary folk" as we cling to our guns and religion. It seems he has no concept of reality and is truly living in a fantasyland brought about by constant association with crooks, thieves, liars, terrorists domestic and foreign. He so desperately wants the Kennedy mantle, Michelle so desperately wants the Jackie O mantle--and yet, there is absolutely nothing, NOTHING there to back up the rhetoric. Nothing.

He has yet to address anything of substance, preferring to continue the ridiculous whining and crying over race and every single perceived--PERCEIVED--slight of anything anyone says. I'm sure he would prefer each of our mouths and brains were put into a lockable freezer and tossed in the deepest crevice in the Antarctic. Thought police, though control, censoring the First Amendment--while decrying it all as perceived slights. And simultaneously showing his incredible, insufferable, arrogant ego. He thinks we're still in the early 60's, politics wise. He was barely cognizant of life in the early 60's, let alone politics. And what he was cognizant of was learning islam in the madrassas, under the tutelage of his muslim father and stepfather. Of course, there was the socialism counterbalance of his mother when he got home as well.

He gleefully assumes we are all just hanging on his every word with baited breath.

He assumes we fall into lockstep with his "Messiah" image so much so he can now take liberties with the Presidential Seal.

Here's a clue, BHO--Get over yourself. Start addressing the issues as to how they relate in the 21st century. Real issues like foreign and domestic terrorism. Taxes (you really think we're stupid enough to allow you to give our hard earned money away in your pet projects? You're NUTS!), oil, not falling for political scams (globull warming anyone?). Start acting like someone presidential if you want to be president. This isn't a game, this is life, real life, and you better come to the table prepared to act like an adult instead of like a child just promoted from the baby table. Or, maybe you were promoted to the adult table too quickly and need to be returned to the baby table.

You are an atrocity, Barry. A pimple on the nose of this great country. Once the pus is drained, nothing is left but a big hole of nothing. You are that big hole of nothing.

The Mockery of Marriage By California

From an email by Norm : an illustration of the mockery being made of marriage (all emphasis mine):

In regard to; House Joint Resolution 89,
The Marriage Protection Amendment proposed by Congressman
Broun.

I'm using a possible scenario in Boston City Hall.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next!

Good morning. We want to apply for a marriage license.

Names?

Tim and Jim Jones.

Jones? Are you related? I see a resemblance

Yes, we're brothers.

Brothers? You can't get married.

Why not? Aren't you giving marriage licenses to same gender couples?

Yes, thousands. But we haven't had any siblings. That's incest!

Incest? No, we are not gay.

Not gay? Then why do you want to get married?

For the financial benefits, of course. And we do love each other. Besides, we don't have any other prospects.

But we're issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples who've been denied equal protection under the law. If you are not gay, you can get married to a woman.

Wait a minute. A gay man has the same right to marry a woman as I have. But just because I'm straight doesn't mean I want to marry a woman. I want to marry Jim. And I want to marry Tim, Are you going to discriminate against us just because we are not gay?

All right, all right. I'll give you your license. Next!

Hi. We are here to get married.

Names?

John Smith, Jane James, Robert Green, and June Johnson.
Who wants to marry whom?

We all want to marry each other.

But there are four of you!

That's right. You see, we're all bisexual. I love Jane and Robert, Jane loves me and June, June loves Robert and Jane, and Robert loves June and me. All of us getting married together is the only way that we can express our sexual preferences in a marital relationship.

But we've only been granting licenses to gay and lesbian couples.

So you're discriminating against bisexuals!

No, it's just that, well, the traditional idea of marriage is that it's just for couples.

Since when are you standing on tradition?

Well, I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere.

Who says? There's no logical reason to limit marriage to couples. The more the better. Besides, we demand our rights! The mayor says the constitution guarantees equal protection under the law. Give us a marriage license!

All right, all right. Next!

Hello, I'd like a marriage license.

In what names?

David Deets.

And the other man?

That's all. I want to marry myself.

Marry yourself? What do you mean?

Well, my psychiatrist says I have a dual personality, so I want to marry the two together. Maybe I can file a joint income-tax return.

That does it! I quit!! You people are making a mockery of Marriage!!

This is just an example of how ridicules same sex marriage is, and the problems that it can create. Does this sound far fetched? Well consider the woman in the Netherlands who married herself. What's it going to be next, a guy marrying a goose?
There are those who have been snarking with me lately, trotting out the same, tired, libspeak of homosexuality is natural (NOT) and the California justices were correct in ruling by judicial fiat, overturning the voices of the people who lawfully voted against same-sex marriage. The same type of people who are tired of their faith being made a mockery of, the same type of people who are tired of things like the Folsom Street Fair, the Gay Pride Parades and the Disney Gay Days. The same type of people who are willing to extend tolerance and really don't care what you do in your bedroom with another consenting adult, but who draw the line at having the gay agenda and gay lifestyle shoved down their throats as if it is something normal and natural while flaunting their lifestyles and screeching we just want to be treated like "normal" people, "WE'RE NORMAL".

No, you're not. And maybe if you kept your mouths shut and your lifestyles to yourselves instead of forcing your views down people's throats, while screeching discrimination, you'd find a lot more tolerance. Not necessarily acceptance, but tolerance. But the militant gay mafia won't do that, even likening the gay agenda to a civil right along the line of the REAL civil rights marches of yesteryear.

Well, guess what. Blacks can't change their color, mankind can't change it's gender (without extreme surgical help)--people can choose their lifestyle. Civil rights had to do with issues not changeable to the victims of the civil rights atrocities. Blacks should be outraged, but at this point in time, they're too busy being outraged by non-existent things propagated by hatemongers Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan and Wright (Tawana Brawley, Jena 6, Duke LaCrosse anyone?)

Oh, but the gay mafia says (while stating they have no agenda)--who in their right might would make this choice and risk being a victim? Well, anyone choosing this lifestyle. It's "chic", it's "in", it's the "thing" to be and do. Popularity. More choice of sexual partners (especially for those proclaiming themselves "bi"). To be "cool". That's why (along with any other number of ridiculous excuses).

But it's genetics they whine. No, it's not--if it were genetics, it would have died out in the alleged belief of evolution as a survival dead end. Survival traits not leading to survival and propagation of the species die out. And if one doesn't believe in the fallacy of evolution (show me the fossil record), there are such things as NATURAL ADAPTATION. Again, traits geared toward a dead end of the species die out--such as homosexuality. Traits strengthening and propagating the species continue.

But animals--generally primates--practice homosexuality. Not for sexual purposes. For purposes of DOMINATION in a group, to assert dominance, yes. For sexual pleasure, no. Same with gang members. You don't see the silverback great apes or gang members pushing for gay marriage. You DO see them dominating their "tribes". And the silverbacks who have successfully dominated and asserted their dominance are the ones who breed and carry on the "tribal line"--again, same with gang members.

Granted, there are a few who do not choose their gayness. I can accept that, and I can believe that from some of my friends and their androgynous body types--as if even their body doesn't know which way to go. It's a very specific look--think "Pat" on the old SNL sketches. The rest is choices, pure and simple.

So, now these gays choosing this lifestyle (at alleged risk of becoming like Matthew Shephard and facing discrimination--yet engaging in Folsom and parades to out themselves) think this is a positive step forward. They think overturning the voice of the people is "cool". They shut up those nasty old Christians who believe God made man and woman the way He did for a reason, didn't they? It really is God made Adam and Steve instead of Adam and Eve. At least in their eyes. Never mind all the conflicting, circular arguments they give, never mind none of it makes sense in their smug self-righteousness. Never mind there are millions of gays who would never, ever think about bringing such glaring attention onto themselves and then screaming "discrimination" and "we just want to be treated like everyone else". Never mind all that.

The slippery slope we are now on DOES open the way for the joke scenario. Are these gays going to stand up for siblings/incestuous relationship marriages? How about plural marriages? How about people getting licenses to marry either animals or inanimate objects (I just heard about a woman who married the Eiffel Tower after divorcing the Berlin Wall!)? Don't these people deserve the same "rights" over and above the voice of the people? Don't these people deserve a judicial fiat as well? Or will it be a case of we got ours, too bad about you?

Probably the latter--the gays we meet in our comments sections are notoriously self centered and really don't give a damn about anyone's interest but their own. Just like the majority of the gays I know who are so self-absorbed, the ones who have indeed made this concious choice. Heck, they think the moral degradation of Rome, Greece, Egypt, etc. was all a fantasy lie and had nothing to do with the downfall of those civilizations (the underlying, exceptional self-centeredness and "I got mine" attitude notwithstanding--same attitude rampant in the majority of today's gays). So if they won't even be honest with actual history, how can we expect them to be responsible and intellectually honest with themselves, their motivations and their rampant hatred of themselves which they project onto others and twist into the bastardization of marriage?

We can't. God help this country.

What a Difference a Day Makes--Chessani Update

Yesterday, those of us who have been following the Haditha Marines case were rewarded with the news Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani had all charges against him dismissed. And about time, too. That's seven out of eight, with one Marine left to be cleared.

Today, on the heels of the news Chessani was looking into the possibility of suing not only Rep. John Murtha (an ex-Marine himself who threw these Marines under the bus by smearing them publicly by stating they were "cold blooded killers" and thereby tainting any possible jury pool and thereby effectively denying the Marines due process under the Constitution), but also Time magazine reporter Tim McGuirk, it came to light the government has filed an appeal in the case.

Here is the WND article reporting this monstrous travesty (snarky comments and emphasis mine):

IN THE MILITARY
Haditha Marine prepares to sue Murtha over smear
Congressman had accused soldiers of killing 'in cold blood'

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani

With most of the eight Marines charged in the Haditha, Iraq, incident now exonerated, the highest-ranking officer among the accused, with the government trying to salvage its allegations against him on appeal, is considering a lawsuit against Democratic Rep. John Murtha, who fueled the case by declaring the men cold-blooded killers.

In an interview with nationally syndicated radio talk host Michael Savage, the lead attorney for Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani said he and his client will look into suing Murtha and the Time magazine reporter Tim McGuirk, who first published the accusations by Iraqi insurgents.

But the attorney, Brian Rooney, said nothing will happen immediately because he wants Chessani, described as a devout Christian and the father of six homeschooled children, completely "out of the woods" legally before any action is taken. The government, through Lt. Col. S.M. Sullivan, today filed a notice that it would appeal the case to the next judicial level.

As WND reported, a military judge at Camp Pendleton in California yesterday dismissed charges that Chessani failed to properly investigate the Nov. 19, 2005 incident in which 24 Iraqi men, women and children were killed.

Rooney, an attorney for the Thomas More Law Center who served a tour of duty in Iraq himself, is urging citizens to tell their representatives in Congress and military officials that they want the case to come to an end.

"At some point you have to have somebody in the chain of command, whether it's civilian or military, saying enough is enough," said Rooney, who served with Chessani in the second battle of Fallujah.

Rooney told Savage the Haditha case is the largest investigation in the history of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, with 65 agents assigned by the government.

The filing of charges against Chessani was approved by Gen. James Mattis, then commander of the Marine Corps Forces Central Command and commander of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton. Mattis has been promoted to commander of NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation and commander of U.S. Joint Forces.

"This is the most important case since Vietnam, if not before," Rooney said. "There's no doubt about it."

He noted the New York Times featured the case on the front page when it was being compared by war critics to the infamous My Lai massacre in Vietnam. But now, with evidence the Haditha accusations were a smear, the story has been relegated to the back pages.

The military judge, Col. Steve Folsom, dismissed Chessani's charges without prejudice, giving permission for the prosecutors to continue trying to build a case that began in December 2006.

Four Marines were charged with murder and another four with not properly investigating the incident.

Defense lawyers contend insurgents deliberately attacked the Marines from hiding places where they surrounded themselves with civilians to use as shields. The defense insisted Chessani promptly reported the events to his superiors and that nobody in the chain of command believed there was any wrongdoing on the part of the Marines.

Libel and defamation

Rooney acknowledged to Savage it's difficult to sue a sitting congressman, but he believes it can be done.

"If he leaves his realm of speaking from the congressman's point of view … then he can be sued for libel and defamation," Rooney said.

The Time magazine story, according to Rooney, was planted by an insurgent propaganda agent. Publishing of the story was soon followed by a May 17, 2006, news conference by Murtha. The congressman announced he had been told by the highest levels of the Marine Corps there was no firefight and Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

"All the information I get, it comes from the commanders, it comes from people who know what they're talking about," Murtha told reporters at the time.

Murtha's assertions, however, conflicted with results from the military's own investigations. An initial probe by Army Col. G.A. Watt found no indications coalition forces "intentionally targeted, engaged and killed noncombatants." Later, Army Maj. Gen. Aldon Bargewell found no cover-up.

Nevertheless, the Marine Corps eventually brought charges against Chessani and seven other Marines.

But now the cases against Lance Cpls. Stephen Tatum and Justin Sharratt, Capts. Randy Stone and Lucas McConnell and Sgt. Sanick P. Dela Cruz have been dropped. First Lt. Andrew Grayson has been acquitted, leaving only the case of Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich untested in court and Chessani prosecutors facing the hurdles of the appeal process.

WND previously reported a military jury of seven officers acquitted Grayson of all charges.

The ruling by Col. Folsom yesterday followed a previous decision in which he confirmed evidence of unlawful command influence.

The evidence indicated two generals who controlled Chessani's case were influenced by Marine lawyer Col. John Ewers, who was allowed to attend at least 25 closed-session meetings in which the case was discussed.

Throwing Marines under the bus

Rooney acknowledged the Haditha case taken a toll on the Marine Corps.

"There's no doubt it's affected recruiting," he told Savage. "How could you have your sons or daughters join the Marine Corps when you're not sure the government will protect them?"

Rooney was asked by Savage why he thought Murtha, a former Marine himself, accused the officers and enlisted men.

"In my opinion, it's clear it was done during the election cycle, it was done to bolster himself in the party," the attorney said. "He was vying for a leadership position, and if he had to throw some Marines under the bus to do so, that was the cost of power for him."

He hopes soon politicians will weigh in on the case in support of Chessani and the others.

"I would think all politicians, especially politicians that have military records, should say something about this case," he said.

"In a horrible and very complex environment, when you have an enemy that's using women and children as shields, you should always give the benefit of the doubt to the Marine or soldier," said Rooney. "You should never bring him back and put him in front of a court martial."
Just who do you think is behind this obscenity? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. Note above I described Murtha as an EX-Marine. There are only two EX-Marines--Lee Harvey Oswald and John Murtha. All others are FORMER Marines. And the pork fat, earmark king would also be? Why, John Murtha! And is this the SAME John Murtha who deployed to an elevator and refused to answer questions when queried when he would be apologizing to these men? DING, DING, DING! Right again! Just a refresher, here's Murtha's famous deployment (Thanks Michelle Malkin!):

Maybe Murtha's not able to handle TWO lawsuits filed against him for his big fat mouth? Remember about 100 years ago in internet time, another of the slandered Marines, Sgt. Frank Wuterich (the last Marine waiting exoneration) has already filed suit--Hot Air has that report here. If I properly recall, Murtha was not allowed to "talk" his way out of testifying in that case regarding his actions. Yes, I do recall properly and The Crypt at Politico has that story here.

So, WHEN is Murtha going to apologize? How about, in a real good Samaritan turn Murtha call an end to this nonsense once and for all.

Wow, those crickets are loud!

4 Adam 37 Is Out of Service-Rest In Peace Sir

Officer Erik Hite, killed in the line of duty in a cross town shootout June 1, 2008 (he was shot June 1 and died June 2), was laid to rest today. Literally THOUSANDS lined the streets to honor him. I haven't been able to find an embed code for any video but one news station has given us its URL for it's documentation of this city's honor for a fallen hero. One newspaper has a wonderful slide slow as well. I was able to capture one picture, but not the one I wanted. The one I wanted showed the firemen creating an arch with a flag in the middle for the procession. There was also an awesome air tribute--several law enforcement and military helicopters (not only was Officer Hite a four year Tucson Police Department veteran, he was a 21 year Air Force Veteran) which circled the city during the procession--I counted five flyovers alone from my office.

For a truly moving video, visit this site:

http://www.fox11az.com/video/newsvideo-index.html?nvid=253510&shu=1

And for a beautiful slide show visit this one (no direct URL, go to right side of page and click on slideshow):

http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/ss/frontpage/87817.php" target="_blank">

And, of course, the traditional last call: 4 Adam 37 Is Out of Service. Rest in Peace Sir.

Your city mourns for you Officer Hite. We do not forget our heroes.

On a side note, our city council, which met tonight, could care less--they refused to increase the budget for more police officers while continuing to fund non-essential services. Video URL here .

Republican vs. Conservative-Another Savage Gem

Most of you know by now, I listen to Savage on the drive home. While the man is most definitely passionate in his beliefs, there is also a significant amount of truth in what he says.

I have been a Republican all my life. I would never consider being a democrat because a democrat is diametrically opposed to my core beliefs. I'm finding the Republican party is becoming as diametrically opposed as well. Savage promotes a foundation of border, culture and language--and I happen to agree. I also like his term--Independent Nationalist. I had thought about Independent Conservative (ICon) to describe myself, but IndNat'l seems to fit me better.

Remember--the biggest danger to the enemy within is a person who can think for themself.

Therefore, keeping the above in mind, I bring you Savage's Republican vs. Conservative:
Republicans vs. Conservatives

The voices of those who call themselves conservative are propagandizing the airwaves. You can hear the Golfer defending high gas prices as a necessary part of the free market, that there shouldn't be an FDA to protect us from salmonella, that illegal aliens are just doing the jobs Americans won't do, and attacking the minimum wage as being anti-job. This is garbage. These people are globalist liberals masquerading as free marketers. They have taken the Golfer's Kool-Aid. And more importantly, while they may be Republicans, they are most definitely not conservatives. I've said time and time again on this program that I'm a conservative, not a Republican. There's a huge difference between the two.

  • Republicans are for AIDS money to Africa. Conservatives are for aid to working American citizens.
  • Republicans are for letting the free market decide that $5 a gallon gas is OK. Conservatives are for compelling foreign oil producers to increase production and reduce prices, by force if necessary.
  • Republicans are for bailing out billionaire money manipulators on Wall Street while you wait in line at the hospital behind an illegal alien. Conservatives are for letting Wall Street hucksters pay for their own mistakes and sending the illegal back to Mexico.
  • Republicans are for letting market forces decide if your food has fecal matter in it. Conservatives are for enforcing basic food safety standards so that Mexican farm workers can't crap in the fields and make you sick.
  • Republicans think bringing in illegal aliens is an amnesty. Conservatives think brining in illegal aliens is a travesty.
  • Republicans want a strong global economy. Conservatives want a country. Republicans think that child porn on the internet is freedom from government. Conservatives know that smut is a poison that must be snuffed out.

America thought Bush was a conservative. He turned out to be just a Republican. And while there are Republicans who are conservatives, too, don't let the "R" after the name fool you. Let the voter – and the listener – beware.

Well worth thinking about, ladies and gentlemen. Are you a party lemming/sheeple or are you an indpendent thinker, capable of observing, researching and making your own decisions and acting upon those decisions?

Arizona Daily Star Blatantly Supports Illegals

I received an interesting article in my email today, courtesy of my morning radio talk show host Jon Justice (104.1 The Truth, M-F, 6-9 a.m.) The writer of the article didn't have the courage to supply his name to the article. It's in the Arizona Daily Star and can be accessed here.

It seems Lou Dobbs is under attack from some fly by night group calling themselves "The Hispanic Institute" and based in Washington, DC has decided to boycott CNN and Lou Dobbs because he has the courage to state the obvious: Illegals are ruining and draining the economy through entitlement programs, crime, prison populations, etc. So, The Hispanic Institute wants to shut him up and they're using a Media Matters report (here).

Let's begin dissecting the article in question (all pictures, emphasis and inserted comments mine):

Hispanic group right to stand up to hatemongers
Our view: Hispanic Institute's boycott of CNN over Lou Dobbs puts networks on notice public won't tolerate hateful lies (who wrote this? No courage to sign the byline???)
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 06.08.2008

The Hispanic Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit group, last week launched a national boycott of CNN, the cable news channel, to highlight unrelenting and erroneous attacks against Latino immigrants (notice how they do not distinguish between LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and ILLEGAL CRIMINALS) by talk-show host Lou Dobbs. While we aren't sure such an effort will be effective and while by its nature, it impugns other good programs on CNN, we agree with the spirit of the boycott (this is a DAILY newspaper finally showing its obscene racist and left slant, boys and girls).

We applaud the institute for taking a stand on behalf of the immigrant community (once again failing to distinguish between LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and ILLEGAL CRIMINALS) and calling on a network to take responsibility for the content of its programs. We encourage other groups — whether they represent minorities or not — to let CNN and other news outlets know that unwarranted attacks that demonize a particular group of people will not be tolerated.

If the Hispanic community flexes its viewership muscles and the boycott succeeds in reducing CNN's ratings, particularly for Lou Dobbs' nightly show, officials with the network might be inclined to get rid of such inflammatory and dishonest programming (how is reporting FACTS inflammatory and dishonest?).

Similarly, we believe local groups could put pressure on Tucson radio station 104.1-FM, which airs "The Jon Justice Show," a morning program that repeats many of the claims made by Lou Dobbs and other anti-immigrant media personalities (Jon ROCKS in bringing us FACTS and the groups such as AZTLAN, MeCha, La Raza, etc. want to censor him because he speaks REAL truth to power--only their voices are allowed to be heard and in their minds, only THEY are allowed the luxury of free speech).

Lou Dobbs, along with fellow CNN host Glenn Beck and Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, has been behind much of the anti-immigrant sentiment (actually the racist groups themselves have been behind the growing groundswell and the taxpayers are fed up with what their money is paying for) that is gripping the country. Dobbs and others regularly make outlandish and erroneous claims. Among them: that illegal immigrants are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime, that they drain communities of cash by illegally using social services and that they intend to take over the Southwestern United States (visit the LaRaza/AZTLAN sites--they do indeed intend to take over the SW United States, claiming it is Mexico land; they have even made such statements as these: "Hello we have been here before 1492 then when this land was stolen in 1848"; "We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works.--- Alfredo Gutierrez, political consultant, as quoted by Richard de Uriarte, The Phoenix Gazette, March 14, 1992 (quoted in The ProEnglish Advocate, 1st quarter, 2002) http://www.theamericanresistance.com/race_industry/true_agenda_audio.html" and "Our duty is to take back what is rightfully ours, even if it means carrying-out total genocide--Hector Carreon- Nation of Aztlan--NOTE: While I cannot find the actual page this quote was on, visit this site to see what kind of whacked out loons Carreon and his followers are; pictured how these hate /racist groups would like to see the flags placed here in America):

While there are some slivers of truth in what Dobbs and the others say — for example, children of illegal immigrants do cost states money when they attend public schools (and what about the medical costs, the welfare fraud, the special classes, the accomodations in bilingual signs/paperwork--those things cost the taxpayers and exorbitant amount) — their claims were largely discredited in a recent report by the Media Matters Action Network, a project of the Washington, D.C.-based watchdog group Media Matters for America.

In a May 21 report, "Fear & Loathing in Prime Time: Immigration Myths and Cable News," researchers systematically debunked the major anti-immigrant statements made by Dobbs and others. (They consider "Media Matters" LEGITIMATE? Where's the balance to this fringe group?)

For example, the report cited Census data and university studies that concluded recent immigrants are less likely — not more — to be involved in crimes than native-born citizens. In fact, the report said, neighborhoods with higher immigrant populations had lower rates of crime. (Let's take a walk over to the Pima County Sheriff's Department Most Wanted page here: Nine of the ten are Mexicans, although their citizenship status is not listed; the crimes range from killing a child in a DUI to a combined 12 counts of murder/homicide. Here's a few more statistics from the Arizona Department of Corrections as of April, 2008 here: ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS Ethnic Distribution by Unit April 2008--TOTAL 38,594; CAUCASIAN 40.7%; AFRICAN 12.9%; AMERICAN NATIVE 5.3%; AMERICAN MEXICAN 26.3%; MEXICAN NATIONAL 13.2%)

"When it comes to this issue, cable news overflows not just with vitriol, but also with a series of myths that feed viewers' resentment and fears, seemingly geared toward creating anti-immigrant hysteria," the report said.

Programs like "Lou Dobbs Tonight" are harmful and potentially dangerous because they give license (FACTS PERHAPS?) to xenophobes and racists to spew their hate on immigrants.

If such people see men in suits on TV railing against immigrants, it emboldens them to also show hate for someone who doesn't fit their ideal of an "American." To make matters worse, perpetrators of hate crimes often can't tell if a Hispanic person is an illegal immigrant, a legal immigrant or a U.S. citizen.

The FBI reported last year that of all the hate crimes in 2006 motivated by a bias against someone's ethnicity or national origin, 62.8 percent of victims were targeted because of an anti-Hispanic bias. In three years, the number of Hispanic victims of hate crimes jumped 38 percent, from 595 victims in 2003 to 819 in 2006 (How about the three college students executed in New Jersey by illegals here or the ten year old raped by an illegal who recently gave birth here?).

Not all this violence can be attributed to talk-show hosts like Dobbs, of course. But such programs foment anger and obviously don't promote civil discourse on the problem of illegal immigration.

What's surprising about the CNN boycott is that it didn't occur sooner.

We're taking this step after years of CNN management's failure to rein in Mr. Dobbs' irresponsible assertions about immigrants and their impact on our country and its institutions," Gus West, The Hispanic Institute's board chairman, said when the boycott was announced Tuesday.

"The lack of any meaningful response from CNN's management, or any abatement of Mr. Dobbs' offensive tirades, makes it clear to us that the company supports his misleading and often inaccurate positions." (In short, this group wants to silence all those who present the facts of illegal immigration while attempting to muddy with waters with leftist talking points, ignorance of realities and lumping LEGAL IMMIGRANTS with ILLEGAL CRIMINALS)

According to the Nielsen Company, which monitors television viewers, there are 12.1 million Hispanic television households in the United States. (Again, how many are LEGAL IMMIGRANTS versus ILLEGAL CRIMINALS?)

Here's hoping they and their allies can help improve the quality of cable television and the standard of living for illegal immigrants. Just because people are in this country illegally — but helping the nation in countless ways — doesn't mean they can't be treated with dignity and respect. (Why should anybody help improve the quality of life for ILLEGAL CRIMINALS? What Part of ILLEGAL is so difficult to understand? They don't DESERVE dignity and respect, they have EARNED a jail cell and deportation. PERIOD.)
So, as you can see from this blathering nonsense, the Arizona Daily Star, while too cowardly to print a byline to this drivel, fully supports the continuing ILLEGAL INVASION we are infested with every day. They have decided to show their true, racist, hate America agenda by calling for censorship of those brave enough to stand up and tell the truth. They try to hide the facts behind misleading statements designed to tug at emotions. They will not publish the true facts. Nor will they publish the fact the Legal Workers/Employer's Sanction law in Arizona is working and working TOO WELL--it's being challenged (and has been challenged repeatedly) in the 9th Circuit District Court because it "violates the rights of illegals".

Um, newsflash--ILLEGAL CRIMINALS DON'T HAVE RIGHTS. Rights apply to LEGAL, TAXPAYING CITIZENS, not illegal INVADERS. Of course our Governor--currently angling for a VP position with BHO--has supported the rights of the ILLEGALS over the rights of her constituency by trying to take the teeth out of the law as well. I personally wrote on this particular issue here. Refer to the picture above.

LEGAL, TAXPAYING CITIZENS are rising up and their voices are being heard--so much so, the hate mongering, racist groups who haven't been properly challenged before are peddling this soft porn and calling it journalism.

LEGAL CITIZENS AND TAXPAYERS, KEEP THE VOICES RAISED. NEVER let them shut you up. The more they push, PUSH BACK (legally, of course). Legal immigrants will ALWAYS be welcome here and with open arms.

ILLEGAL INVADERS ARE NOT WELCOME. GO HOME. NOW. Get out of our SCHOOLS with your RAZA Studies (pictured TUSD Board Member Adelita Grijalva, daughter of former TUSD board member and current US Congressman Raul Grijalva):

(teaching disrespect for law enforcement, among other things) with your hate programs, get out of our CITY BUDGET with your non-essential services and special programs (programs which are funded while our necessary programs such as police and firefighters are NOT, leading to tragedies such as the death of Officer Erik Hite), get out of our FEDERAL BUDGET (pictured US Congressman and former TUSD board member Raul Grijalva, father of current TUSD board member and "pusher" of RAZA studies Adelita Grijalva):

with your entitlement mentality, get out of our HOSPITALS with your so-called emergencies you don't pay for and GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY.

Officer Erik Hite-1965-2008

Yesterday, June 1, 2008, I was spending my Sunday like any other--sleeping in late after some studying, listening to my children arguing as to why my son was doing the dishes without being told (my birthday is in June and the kids never remember what day-they know it's in June, just not what day) and snickering over it, the first cup of coffee before more studying and reading my daily reads.

We don't watch a whole lot of tv at my house--I don't have cable, although I do have enough videos and DVD's to out fit my own Blockbuster (or so I've been told). So there was a movie playing and I was once again cracking the books.

Little did I know a drama was playing out in my town--and I didn't find out until the late night news.

Mid-morning, a man started shooting at houses. When officers were called, he shot them--one in the shoulder and one had his head grazed by a bullet. The shooter drove off, with the shoulder shot officer (among others) in the chase. About 20 miles across town, after laying in ambush, the shooter shot Officer Hite several times. He was airlifted to UMC and put on life support, not expected to live. Early this afternoon, Officer Hite lost his struggle, although he was breathing on his own when he breathed his last.

The last time Tucson lost an officer was May 26, 2003.

Officer Hite was 43 years old and a 4 year veteran of Tucson Police Department. He leaves behind his wife, an infant daughter who will "celebrate" her first birthday Saturday, more than likely at her father's graveside, and a son who is in the military. He was also a 21 year Air Force veteran, serving as a sergeant, serving in the 12th Air Force Weather Division. He was surrounded by his wife, children and parents when he died.

Donations are being accepted at any Wells Fargo branch in the name of Officer Eric Hite Benefit Fund. All city flags have been ordered flown at half staff until his funeral and procession.

His accused killer, David N. Delich, was ordered held on $2.5 million bond.

Stop the ACLU! Roundup 04/23-06/02/2008

It's been about six weeks since I last published a compilation from Jay at Stop the ACLU! And a fascinating six weeks it's been. Buckle up your seatbelts, follow the links and come along for the ride--it's a roller coaster!

Articles:
Must Not Mention Reality
A coalition of American Muslim groups are now demanding that McCain ignore truth and reality and speak in a more politically correct manner when referring to terrorists. They would rather just refer to them as "criminals".

ACLU Stops LA School District Bible Giveaways
An article written and submitted to Jay by a reader.

The Aztlan Civil Liberties Union
The ACLU teams up with the Mexican government to encourage illegal immigration and litigate against law enforcement.

ACLU Will Challenge Florida License Plate With Cross...Of Course
I think everyone knows this one was bound to happen. The ACLU never met a cross they didn't like.

Another Unsavory Obama Associate, Official Blogger a Communist?
In case you didn't know...yet another anti-American associate for Obama's company. So, what we have here is a kid who is an official blogger for the Obama campaign having written for a socialist magazine, is known to favor the anti-American views of Noam Chomsky, had a "communist flag" in his dorm room in college, and has attended riots in France and acted as a flack for them here in America. None of these ideas as espoused by our young Obama blogger are those commonly held by a majority of Americans. In fact, many people would consider a person who appreciates communism not an American at all.

What Presidential Hopefuls Might Look Like in 4 Years
Fun, but scary stuff for a Friday night!

Blog Of The Day (With Petition to Sign)
The Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA) will make it a federal offense to transport a minor girl across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion if done to evade a parental notification or parental consent law that is in effect in the girl's home state. In addition, the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act will require, in a state without parental consent laws, that before an abortion provider performs an abortion on a minor girl who is the resident of a different state, that provider must notify a parent. The abortion provider does not have to notify a parent if the minor has already received authorization from a judge in her home state (judicial bypass), or unless she falls into carefully drafted exceptions to cover cases of abuse or medical emergencies. ACLU Extremely Upset With Supreme Court Decision on Indiana Voter ID Law
An important ruling by SCOTUS that will hamper voter fraud has the ACLU "extremely upset".

My Endorsement of Obama
I am officially endorsing Barack Obama for the Democratic nominee. Agree or disagree, I think he will be the easier of the two candidates to beat...and yes, I know my endorsement means absolutely nothing, but it was a fun one to write.

ACLU Take Over South Carolina Branch
The question coming up at the South Carolina branch is whether they are a target for their criticism of the national organization. A website of dissenting/former ACLU members protesting hypocritical internal dealings of the ACLU silencing its own board members for dissent AND spying on them. The South Carolina branch signed up for that website, and many think the take over is punishment to silence their criticism.

Public School Helps Parents Create 9 Year Old Transsexual
Absolutely sickening example of how backwards things have gotten out there. Reason 5 billion to homeschool. Parents of a third-grade student at Chatham Park Elementary School approached the administration on April 16 to ask for help in making a "social transition" for their child. The Haverford School District consulted experts on transgender children, then sent letters to parents advising them that the guidance counselor would meet with the school's 100 third-grade students to explain why their classmate would now wear girls' clothes and be called by a girl's name.

David Corn's Dishonest B.S. Argument Against McCain
If you haven't heard yet, the left are trying to create a Reverend Wright controversy over pastor's that have endorsed McCain. They want McCain to refuse their endorsements, blah, blah, blah. One pastor they think is horrible for speaking the truth about how dangerous Islam is. All and all the argument is an ignorant one...a controversy they are trying to create where there isn't one. I try my best to deconstruct it.

Planned Parenthood: Kill a Baby for Mother's Day
Sickening sense of irony, and gall from Planned Parenthood this Mother's Day.

ACLU: Judges Gave us a Gift
Jay's co-blogger Nathan Bradfield does a great job summing up the California Supreme Court decision today on gay marriage, and how it affects the overall battle for families. He also does an excellent job interpreting the socialist response of the ACLU, who admits they are circumventing the will of the people and asking for money to continue to do so by convincing courts to overrule the votes of the majority.

ACLU Defends Youthful Terrorists
Here's an outrage for you. The news is a few days old, but it still should boil the blood. How about rehabilitation and re-integration into society for terrorist bombing, captured enemy combatants under the age of 18? That's what the ACLU want to do. I guess we once again see where their sympathies lie.

Good News! Sockpuppet to Blog for ACLU's New Blog!
Good news! The blogosphere's infamous sock puppet, Glenn Greenwald, will be blogging at the ACLU's "blog of rights" about one of his favorite subjects, how evil the U.S. is and how we torture people! They've also lined up other great bloggers from places like Daily KOS! In case you are wondering, yes I am being sarcastic!

Tenn. Declares Only Dumbest Kids Wanted For State Jobs
Warner Todd Huston informs us of on the state of Tennessee not allowing home school students to work for the government. Homeschool students are probably too smart to be working for the government anyway, but still...

Is John McCain Losing Conservative Support?
McCain has done a huge flip-flop on his position promise to secure the border first and went back to his previous position of immigration reform first and remebers fond memories of he and Kennedy working hard on it. Some Conservatives are ready to jump ship!

Murderer Gets Probation
I'm probably extra-sensitive about this right now, having a newborn and all...but it's quite outrageous for all. What do you get for throwing your baby into a garbage can resulting in death? How about 30 days of jail time and about 695 days of electronic monitoring? She also will be placed on five years' probation.

Boy Scouts Sue Philly to Stay in HQ
I know the topic is touchy for some, but I expected to see more support from rightwing blogs for the Boy Scouts on this than I did today. I'll still throw it out there in case there are some that didn't know it was going on and want to weigh in on this.

UN "Peacekeepers" Continue to Rape Children
This sick and evil ongoing scandal continues to be ignored at the U.N. It boils the blood! These poor children suffer for this stupid organization's corrupted evil lusts! Sick!

McClellan Book Connected to Soros?
The McClellan controversy just got more interesting.

Obama Sought Endorsement of Marxist Third Party in 1996
Here is some interesting as well as character confirming info about one of Barack Obama's former runs for office. Apparently, Obama actively sought and received the stamp of approval of a Marxist third party that operated briefly in Chicago between 1992 and 1998. The group was called the "New Party" and was started in 1992 by Daniel Cantor (a former staffer for Jesse Jackson's 1988 presidential campaign) and Joel Rogers (a sociology and law professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison).

ACLU Advice for Muslims Under Surveillance
A report that mosques in Los Angeles and San Diego are under federal surveillance has resurrected fears in the Muslim community about government monitoring and led two civil rights groups Wednesday to call for congressional hearings.

[...]

Corey Saylor, Washington spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the article in the San Diego Union-Tribune "has again raised concerns that our community is being watched."

[...]

ACLU lawyers regularly go to mosques to advise worshipers that they do not have to answer questions from FBI agents about how long they have been in the United States, how often they attend services and what they get out of the sermons…

Hero Dad Tackles Sexual Predator Intruder
His ten year old daughter woke up to this freak stroking her hair and screamed. Dad took it from there. The kid confessed to several other break-ins and touching sessions…some more perverted in nature. No telling how many people this father prevented from being violated by taking this kid down.

Chris Matthews: White People Willing to Pick Up Black Heroes, If They'll Win for Their Side
This is Matthew's advice to Obama: You got to talk like a firebrand because if you're carrying their fight for them, they're going to like you. You know, a lot of white people root for black athletes because they're winning for the home team. People are quite willing to pick up black heroes, if they'll win for their side.

Hillary: I'm Staying In, Just In Case Obama Gets Assassinated?
Major gaffe comes from Hillary. "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing calls to drop out.

Democrat Congressman Admits Party Lied About Ending War to Win Election
BUSTED! Congressman Kanjorski: "I'll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we…the Democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn't say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn't true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts…and people ate it up."

Is Obama Willing to Meet Ahmadinejad But Not Petraeus?
McCain made Obama squirm into this corner, and now he's exposing Obama's cowardice like there is no tomorrow!

Free Healthcare
Great YouTube parody on free health care! Hope you get a chuckle out of it.

Obama Kicks Trinity United To The Curb, Resigns Church Membership?
20 years too late, but political pressure finally cracks him. It will probably actually cost him votes now, in my opinion.

1/2 Man...1/2 Boy--The American Soldier

The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances, is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's, but he has never collected unemployment either

He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy and has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and a 155mm howitzer.

He is 10 to 15 pounds lighter now than when he was at home because he is working or fighting from before dawn to well after dusk. He has trouble spelling; thus letter writing is a pain for him. He can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and re-assemble it in less time in the dark. He can recite to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or grenade launcher and use either one effectively if he must.

He digs foxholes and latrines and can apply first aid like a professional.

He can march until he is told to stop or stop until he is told to march.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation, but he is not without spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient.

He has two sets of fatigues; he washes one and wears the other. He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry.

He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth but never to clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes and fix his own hurts.

If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition with you in the midst of battle when you run low.

He has learned to use his hands like weapons and weapons like they were his hands.

He can save your life - or take it, because that is his job.

He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay and still find ironic humor in it all.

He has seen more suffering and death than he should have in his short lifetime.

He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and is unashamed.

He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body while at rigid attention, while tempering the burning desire to 'square-away ' those around him who haven't bothered to stand, remove their hat or even stop talking.

In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from home, he defends their right to be disrespectful.

Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy. He is the American Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years.

He has asked nothing in return except our friendship and understanding.
Remember him always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with his blood.

And now we even have women over there in danger, doing their part in this tradition of going to war when our nation calls us to do so.

As you go to bed tonight, remember this shot. . .

A short lull, a little shade and a picture of loved ones in their helmets.

This came to me through my email from a very dear lady whose husband is a veteran.

Remember these faces. They could be the faces of the boys and girls you watched grow up--except now they are men and women. They are doing a thankless job, due to our traitorous MSM and such seditious and subversive groups as Code Pink, such idiots as Nancy Pelosi thanking Iran for the surge working rather than these men and women, and such moronic head cases as Cindy Sheehan. These are the faces of the men and women who give these traitors their rights--and are spit on, denigrated, called names, disrespected at every turn and, often, who lose their lives due to the actions of the lunatic fringe and those like them by vital information being given to the enemy.

Remember these faces. They are loved and they are protecting YOU and me and our loved ones. Pray for them and their families. And when you see one of them or their sisters and brothers, thank them--and be sincere. Were it not for such raw courage, where would this country be? Were it not for these men and women doing their jobs, and doing them very well indeed, what shackles would US citizens be living under? They fight and bleed, sweat and die for us and our way of life, our freedoms.

Remember these faces. Don't ever, EVER take them for granted.

Remember these faces.
