How Fed Up Are YOU With Gas Prices?

There are two petitions going around telling Congress to get off their collective butts and let us start drilling our own oil on our own property.

Now, why haven't we done this before? Just WHY are we dependent on foreign oil? Thank your local green lobby and irrational, liberal environmentalist. Because of their "green" policies over the past thirty years (years which could have been spent building infrastructure and exploring alternative energy avenues) they have systematically blocked any and all attempts. Yet, they are the ones screaming the loudest about "wars for oil" and "get us off foreign oil".

Well, the time has come to tell them to shut up and sit down. Their policies have failed and failed miserably. We have sufficient oil to last us for centuries on our own shores. These same environmentalists who won't let us drill our own oil in the Gulf or off Florida don't seem to be screaming very loudly when Cuba and China are doing exactly that. We have capped oil wells we can uncap and use while building the infrastructure of new pipelines and new refineries. We can also start building nuclear plants. Nuclear has matured and is clean energy.

I was born in a town with oil reserves--storage tanks for literally MILES full of oil--and a refinery. When we moved to Arizona in 1972, we still payed $0.25 per gallon of "ethyl". There weren't pipeline and transportation costs as the refinery was right there. We competed on the oil company's swim team--statewide against other oil company's teams. I KNOW the oil is here and waiting to be uncapped and used.

The snail darter, the spotted owl, the caribou--they are NOT more important than humans. It's time liberal environmentalists understood that.

Now, I'm providing two buttons for two petitions demanding Congress do something productive by overriding the screeching environmentalists who can't make up their mind on saving some non-human species or getting us off foreign oil and ORDER the wells uncapped, infrastructure built and drilling our own oil. I also suggest you mention they need to repeal the ethanol mandates as ethanol is proving to be a worldwide disaster. You don't burn food for fuel. And for the rest of you who want the real story of the harm caused by the liberal environmentalists, I suggest the following book:

It will be a very interesting read as to the true story of ethanol. the millions dead since the banning of DDT (the only truly effective pesticide against malarial mosquitos), the Yellowstone and catastrophic forest firests, water pollution and the estrogen connections with fish deformaties--and who caused these disasters? That's right--liberal environmentalists with an agenda.

If you're fed up with the screwing around in Washington, if you're tired of depending on foreign oil from countries that hate us (and their instability), if you're tired of the lunatic "green" policies passing as science and costing you more and more money to fund failed policies through your tax dollars, if you're fed up with KNOWING we have the resources here and the liberal environmentalists won't let us utilitize our own resources and if you really want to vent your spleen (POLITELY!) about your feelings to Congress, then go to each of these places and sign the petitions.

Petition No. One:

Petition No. Two:

Go sign the petitions, pick up the book and let your voice be heard. Don't let the followers of the goracle, the hysterical scammers and the insane policies of the liberal environmentalists who really don't give a hoot about the environment bankrupt you or this country any further. It's time to get serious, use our own resources and quit allowing these loons to do their best to turn us into a third world country.

TUSD "Raza" Unit Update

A little more than two weeks ago, I brought you an article wherein a teacher with Tucson Unified School District exposed the dirty underbelly of the "RAZA" unit ethnic studies within the school district. The teacher, John A. Ward, has subsequently been interviewed by the morning radio talk show host who first brought Mr. Ward's op-ed letter to my attention (I don't normally buy newspapers--don't have the time to read them and they just stack up).

There has been quite a bit of response from the culprits wasting our tax dollars teaching these seditious and subversive hate classes as well. Let us not forget US Congressman Raul Grijalva was the instigator behind these classes and his daughter, Adelita, sits on the TUSD Board of Supervisors. On a side note, I didn't think anyone was further left than Grijalva--scary to think BHO is considered the most liberal representative there is in Congress. This is Adelita's response to the controversy:
TUSD's budget crisis is putting the kibosh on any new money for this coming school year, but Governing Board member Adelita Grijalva says she's committed to seeing the program grow the following year.
The district has 30,118 Hispanic students. This program only serves 500. Those 500 are in high school and the district wants to extend this hate class to elementary students. The director of this program, is blatantly racist--all the more ironic since it was THIS country who gave him the opportunities he wouldn't have had in any other country. And he's completely unapologetic in his rhetoric.

The Superintendent of Schools, Tom Horne, is not happy with these studies either.

Here is the full text of the follow up piece in the Arizona Daily Star (any emphasis mine):

TUSD's Raza unit survives under fire
Ethnic studies dept. could grow, reach younger kids

By Rhonda Bodfield
ARIZONA DAILY STAR
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 05.25.2008

Calls are heating up to kill the Tucson Unified School District's ethnic studies program — at the same time it becomes more likely that the district's most controversial department could expand to reach more, and younger, students.

Critics, from the state's schools chief to lawmakers to conservative talk-show hosts and columnists, have singled out Mexican-American/Raza Studies in particular, saying it's divisive and turns students into angry revolutionaries.

But supporters say the program's reach is too limited, given that it boosts student achievement by providing relevant and rigorous work to students all too often overlooked.

In a ruling last month that conditionally lifted the district's decades-old racial balance order, a federal judge noted that "it is unimaginable that the eight-staff Mexican American/Raza Studies department would be capable of serving the (district's) 30,118 Hispanic students."

TUSD's budget crisis is putting the kibosh on any new money for this coming school year, but Governing Board member Adelita Grijalva says she's committed to seeing the program grow the following year.

For now, she's asking for a discussion about equity within the ethnic studies' $2.3 million budget, given that African-American Studies gets more funding and staff in a district overwhelmingly Latino.

Raza Studies serves about 500 high school students, who take a four-course block of history, social justice and two Chicano literature classes.

The program should reach younger students, a 2006 outside audit said. Auditors recommended a feeder pipeline starting in the elementary schools.

Although they criticized the African-American, Pan-Asian and Native American departments for too few accountability measures, they lauded Raza Studies as the program's "flagship."

Inside the classroom

It's the end of the school year and Raza Studies students at Tucson High Magnet School are presenting research findings to their principal.

Their PowerPoint presentation is critical of policies toward English learners; some concerns hinge on whether students are funneled to vocational tracks, and some focus on inferior equipment.

Then comes an exploration of classroom décor, with photos of classroom items students consider culturally insensitive.

First up is a baseball poster, which they say should be soccer or rugby to validate other cultures. Next up flashes the Pledge of Allegiance and a patriotic poster featuring the Statue of Liberty, the American flag and an eagle.

"Most of the kids are from a different country, and this is showing them that this is the country that's the greatest and yours doesn't matter," a student maintains.

Principal Abel Morado tells the students he disagrees with their perspective. An initial role of public education was to mold a citizenry united under one democratic blanket, he says.

"It's in our DNA in public schools to be sure we're teaching you about being citizens of this nation," Morado says.

Morado says he considers the dialogue valuable because it's important to reflect that America does not have just one culture or value system.

Tom Horne, the state's superintendent of public instruction, considers the program's very premise grounds to publicly rail against it, and, if necessary, to ban it through legislation.
"One of the most basic American values is that we judge people as individuals based on what they know and what they can do and what their character is like — and not based on what ethnic group they happen to have been born into," Horne says. "I think it's profoundly wrong to divide students up by ethnicity."

The director

Augustine Romero took over as head of ethnic studies two years ago, after running Raza Studies for four years. In his view, the system already divides students by ethnicity.

When he was a senior at Tucson High, his father asked school counselors to make military recruiters stop calling. His counselor couldn't believe Romero planned to go to college.

He proved the counselor wrong, and the 41-year-old just finished his doctorate. "Yes, there are examples of people who have made it, but we've made it by having to work harder than most people because we've had to endure the inequities of the system," he says.

Romero summons the work of Brazilian educationalist Paulo Freire to explain the premise of the program, hauling out a dog-eared and extensively highlighted copy of "Pedagogy of the Oppressed." He points to a passage: "This, then, is the great humanistic and historical task of the oppressed: to liberate themselves and their oppressors as well."

If people don't like being called oppressors, Romero offers no apology. "We have to be able to be honest. If we have cancer, should we not name the cancer and overcome it? If oppression and subordination are our cancers, should we not name them?"

Anglos often don't see racism, he says, so it needs to be pointed out, even though it has led to accusations that he propagates reverse racism. "When you name racism, people think you're playing the race card and then they say, 'You don't like me because I'm white.' No, I don't like what was said. Because I'm one who names these things, some have the perception that I'm a racist and that I only care about children of color."

Those children clearly need advocates, Romero says. There are glaring performance disparities between white and minority students — even in this district, where whites are only 30 percent of the student body. The recent court ruling noted test scores for black and Hispanic students lagged 10 percent to 15 percent behind those of their white counterparts, and up to 21 percent for Native Americans.

A person can take two views on this, Romero says.

The first: Blame the students and say their ethnic heritage in some way is deficient.

The second: Acknowledge that the educational system perpetuates white privilege and is stacked against minorities. These students are not at-risk, he says. "The system created risk for them."

A program like Raza Studies can even the odds, he says. Raza students outperform peers on AIMS tests. Scores from the 2006 senior class show 95 percent of the students passed reading, 97 percent passed writing and 77 percent passed math. Five out of six on a recent survey said the program kept them in school.

Tucson High's Morado visits the classes and doesn't believe they're divisive. "They offer a sense of identity for students who have historically not found that within these walls."

One recent Raza Studies research project highlighted the fact that minorities take too few Advanced Placement courses and too many remedial classes — something the administration has been trying to address.

"What those kids are talking about is the new civil rights movement of the 21st century," Morado says.

The critics

The program's critics range from elected state officials to high school students.

The campus Republicans at Tucson High circulated a petition in April to rein in the class after seeing a banner in a class window asking, "Who's the illegal alien, pilgrim?"

The petition, signed by 50 of the school's 2,900 students, was forwarded to a handful of state legislators, along with a note that maintained the department "is creating a hostile environment for non-Hispanic students and students who oppose creating a racially charged school environment."

John Ward taught in the department in the 2002-03 school year. Of Latino heritage despite his Anglo-sounding name, Ward was all for more thoroughly integrating the contributions of Mexican-Americans into U.S. history. But once he started teaching, he became concerned about the program's focus on victimization.

"They really wanted to identify the victimizer, which was the dominant group — in this case white America — and they wanted students to have a revolution against upper-class white America," says Ward, who now works as a state auditor.

"They had a clear message that political departments in the U.S. are arms of the dominant culture designed to keep minorities in the ghetto and to keep them downtrodden. They're teaching on the taxpayers' dime that police officers and teachers are trying to keep them down. What a perverse message to teach these kids."

Such messages, he says, won't be found in the program's textbooks, such as "Occupied America."

"The department doesn't look bad on paper. It's what happens verbally that moves the debate from benign to pernicious," Ward says.

The tone worried him: "The students had become very angry by the end of the year. I saw a marked change in them."

That anger was evident in a presentation director Romero gave at a social justice symposium at the University of Arizona in April. Exploring ways schools create racially hostile environments, the presentation flashed quotes from former Raza Studies students.

Nate Camacho complained that teachers actually encouraged students to fight each other.

Vanessa Aragón said students see violence differently from what school officials see. "For us, it is violence we face from our teachers, administrators and TPD (the Tucson Police Department) every single day," she said.

Kim Dominguez maintained she didn't feel valued because nothing in class reflected her life. "We don't really have a chance," she said.

Romero says anger is essential for transformation, but insists teachers work to transform that anger into something positive. "For me, there's a real fine line between anger and awareness," he says.

He chalks up the dispute with Ward to politics, saying Ward didn't fit in because he was a conservative while he and the teachers in the department are liberal.

The students

Kristin Grijalva, 17, counts this last year as the most transformative of her school career. She was so shy as a young student that her teachers assumed she spoke only Spanish and put her in an English-learners class.

"Now I've gained so much confidence," says Grijalva, who plans to attend the University of Arizona to study medicine, with a minor in theater. "I have learned so much about myself that now I can talk and use my voice to inform people."

Raza Studies teachers push students hard, she says, but are so supportive that they share cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses and encourage students to text or call anytime.

Grijalva says that when she learned more about Christopher Columbus, she became angry that he remains a celebrated figure. But she was taught to use her anger to be a warrior, not a soldier. Soldiers do what they're told, she says. Warriors fight with their minds.

Grijalva acted like a warrior when a student asked her to sign the "pilgrim" petition. Before, she would have ripped up the paper, she says. Instead, she explained to the student that pilgrims from Europe seeking freedom weren't all that different from Mexicans coming here.

Her fellow students would be just as angry to hear a white person called a "cracker" as a Mexican person called a "beaner," Grijalva says.

"We realize it's not only Euro-Americans who are against our class. There are our own Chicanos and African-Americans against our class," she says. "It's what we call 'internal oppression.' When you hate your own race, you're basically hating yourself, but they're going with what they hear instead of what they see."

In class, students are encouraged to think critically and to defend their positions.

One day in early May, students analyzed a political cartoon to determine if the artist was liberal or conservative. With the newspaper required reading, they discussed the Democratic presidential nomination.

During a recent presentation, a student noted, "Even a game of chess can reflect the inequalities of our society. From way back, white always goes first."

Teacher Jose Gonzalez nodded approvingly. "That's deep. That's powerful."

Amy Rusk, Tucson High's chief librarian who taught Chicano literature in the department for three years, says that as a white woman, she finds white privilege is "very much embedded in the system and that's why we have to talk about it."

Kids need to read literature where the grandmother switches back and forth between English and Spanish, just like they hear at home, she says.

They need to name 10 important Hispanic and 10 important black figures in U.S. history.

And they need to know the system was set up to block minority achievement, she says.

"I think to pretend everything is fine is very unfair to the kids," Rusk says.

She says she's heard students say they can't do some academic work because they aren't white and they aren't smart. But not Raza Studies students; they come to her library more than their peers, and are more able to do independent research.

"This program has much more to do with figuring out ways to help kids succeed who have not had academic identities before," Rusk says. "And this system has let them not have those academic identities."

Do we really want our tax dollars being used to teach this nonsense? Is it really necessary to enrage the students with this propaganda? Rather than putting the blame for under achievement right where it belongs--squarely on the student and parents for not making their education a priority and STUDYING for what they want--they blame the white man.

This is the liberal agenda. Divide and conquer, allow the ruination of this nation with illegals who think they're ENTITLED to our bounty.

It's time for ALL ethnic studies courses to be banned from all schools. When you are in America, you are an AMERICAN, not a hyphenated entity. If you want to learn more about your background, do some extra credit work. Break away from the hip-hop/gansta attitude, turn off your tv and Xbox and pick up a book. Don't expect my tax dollars to pay for it.

Arizona House of Representatives Legislator Russell Pearce has introduced SB 1108 to stop this kind of tax payer waste and subsidized hate propaganda. Click on the site and read the text of the measure.

Teaching this nonsense is akin to a white class forcing students to participate in classes on the KKK (which we know was started by the democrats after losing the civil war--the same party that advocates slavery in one way or another to this day). We'd certainly hear an outcry over that, wouldn't we? So why the silence in this instance? It's time to let your voices be heard, loud and clear, you will no longer tolerate this being forced down your child's throat and you will no longer support it through your taxes. Miss Beth Needs a Logo!

Ok everyone--it's been well over a year now since Miss Beth started blogging.

I don't have a logo. So, I would like people to submit their best rendition of a Miss Beth logo and send it to my email at missbethsvictory@gmail.com. Put "Logo Idea" in the reference line.

Ideas will be accepted until June 30, 2008. Some guidelines: 1) It must be unashamedly pro-American, Pro-Troop and Patriotic; 2) It does NOT have to "serious"--humor is good; 3) It must be able to pass a "G" rating; 4) Vintage themes are cool and 5) It must illustrate VICTORY.

Put your thinking caps on and start submitting ideas! The theme I choose will give full credit to the designer and will be put on a line of merchandise in CafePress, with designer credit given.

Fed Up With The GOP

I am lucky enough to have been able to vote for Ronald Reagan when he ran as President. In fact, it was the first Presidential election in which I was old enough to vote and he was the very first President I voted for.

I was raised in a conservative family with strong conservative values--both parents had college degrees (at the time my father had his first of many PhD's), education was a MUST, we saved, my mother stayed home with us until we went to school and then she worked part time. She was also responsible for our cultural and religious extra-curricular activities while daddy was responsible for our sports activities. Hard work was rewarded with privileges, not toys and laziness, disrespect and irresponsibility were simply not tolerated. I grew up in an era when children were kicked out of their houses around 8:00 am during the summer and told not to come home until lunch; after lunch, it was back outside until the street lights came on. The entire neighborhood watched out for each other's children and if you got into trouble at a friend's house, your mother knew about it before you even came close to being home. Sunday Mass was MANDATORY and you dressed appropriately and respectfully. You learned what soap tasted like if you decided to try out your swearing capabilities. There was one TV in the house and the program lineup was decided by daddy. Hence, my Star Trek addiction (it was on opposite the Flinstones at that time). Bedtimes were enforced, girls didn't call boys, and the phone better not ring after 8:00 pm unless it was a true emergency. We saved money for family vacations, there was one credit card and it was kept clear for emergency use only. We were taught the police were our friends and you ALWAYS stood for a member of the military. From the time we could focus, we were plopped in front of the tv for each and every rocket launch and the flag was proudly flown from our home. Holidays centered around their meanings rather than the cost and number of gifts and our elders were very much respected.

Family vacations were rarely to anyplace other than the grandparents homes. And such grandparents I had! One set of great-grandparents had actually pioneered parts of Colorado and Oklahome in covered wagons. They owned a small "farm" and were entirely self-sustaining. Gruesome child that I was, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Grandpa execute chickens and ducks for dinner. The pies my grandmother made were famous city-wide and she made a small contribution toward the family coffers selling her pies to the mom and pop restaurants in this small town. They raised six children in a sod hut; losing one in adulthood to a fire. To get a doctor, my grandmother had to literally run to town, find the doctor and go back to the homestead. They didn't have stores to buy sheets and such; quilting bees were the norm. I have two of her quilts made into wall hangings for all to see their beauty. She emmigrated from Ireland and he was the son of German immigrants.

Another set of grandparents homesteaded the Idaho/Utah area. She was a British immigrant whose father was a gravedigger in England and the children played among the headstones. The highpoint of their childhood was going to the sea and eating ice cream. She was an exceptionally cheerful woman who worked magic with a crochet hook or knitting needles. She taught us how to can, preserve and store food. My memories of my grandfather aren't so keen as he always seemed to be in the background. To her dying day, she had her afternoon tea. Her three children were successes in their own rights, my father being the only son.

Those times are gone. The values have long been since relegated to the dustbins of obscurity as old fashioned and not relevant.

However. These are the values of conservatives. Self-sufficiency. Using resources responsibly. Helping each other out in time of need. Saving for a rainy day. Legal immigration and assimilation. Giving up native languages for English. Pride in God, country and self, in that order.

Faith. Small government who trusted its citizens to pretty much govern themselves, stepping in only when necessary. Military service. Raising families to be productive citizens rather than lazy layabouts expecting everything to be handed to them.

These people were the backbone of the country and the backbone of the conservative base. They may have registered as Democrats. They may have been Republicans. Either way, the values and beliefs were strong.

These values no longer define conservatism. Conservatism is used as an epithet these days, signifying you're hopelessly behind the times. God and Faith have been relegated to second class status, while the almighty dollar and power take their places.

Frankly, I'm tired of it. I have my own blog. Those who read my blog know I hold nothing back. I'm tired of what passes for the Republican party these days, which is nothing more than socialist lite. I'm tired of working my behind off to have my taxes taken (a nice form of armed robbery) to support the most ludicrous of leftist/liberal ideas and schemes, without asking me what I wish to support, whether it be policies or charities. I don't like my money being taken to support lunatic schemes such as the "greening" of the world, worshiping at the altar of Al Gore and designed to take my choice away regarding everything from what I put into my gas tank to what kind of light bulbs I use. Policies designed to siphon off my funds to support failed theories and false science which has been debunked by reputable research--yet the RNC panders to in order to get votes. Policies designed to drive up prices on everything from gas prices to the food on my table. Policies designed to ravage land and starve worldwide populations. Policies based upon the ravings of a lunatic and his followers.

I'm tired of the RNC pandering to the lobbies for illegal aliens and refusing to enforce existing laws against these invaders while continuing to try to find ways to shove anmnesty down my throat. I'm tired of the cowardice of the RNC in capitulating to the appeasement mentality of islamists demanding special accomodations for footbaths, prayer rooms and times, cafeterias and facility use times at publicly funded schools and universities, using my tax dollars, while my own Judeo-Christian values and needs are prohibited because of the "separation of church and state". I'm tired of the RNC appeasing a small percentage of the population's sexual issues by allowing them to force their views on my family through things like special sex ed classes and accomodation of Gay Pride parades and Folsom Street Fair. I'm tired of traitors and seditionists being allowed to retain their congressional seats rather than the RNC enforcing the laws against such behavior and prosecuting these criminals. I'm tired of the RNC becoming a yellow-belly, spineless wimp in the face of the liberal lunacy. I'm tired of the RNC asking me for money to support candidates who waffle, spin, refuse to take a stand and are nothing more than democrat lite, while refusing to provide us true conservative candidates.

I'm plain tired of the RNC. I will stay registered Republican just long enough to get through this election; then I'm registering no party. I will not continue to contribute to or support any candidate run by a party I no longer recognize and a party who insists on ignoring the voices of the people.

Anyone with me?

MoneyGram's Latest Commercial

I can't find an embed link for this commercial, so I'll post the link. Go here and watch the commercial then come back.

Okay, have you viewed it? Good. Why am I writing on MoneyGram?

Quite simply, this commercial is deeply disturbing on several different levels.

First, the underlying message seems to be the advocacy of a world currency. I don't like that.

Second--the scenes where the people are all reaching to the sky--if you pay attention, it seems to be a "Sieg Heil" salute. THAT disturbs me--as if these people are brainwashed into accepting an international, world currency and are approving it in a Nazi like manner.

What do you think?

In the Lionizing of the Lead Liberal, Let Us Not Forget His True Legacy

I'm not the type of person to kick someone when they're down (despite what some in the blogosphere might think). It's eminently more satisfying to fight them when they're kicking and roaring. We all also know I'm thoroughly addicted to graphics in my posts and I chose these two pictures for a reason. A reminder, if you will, of the three brothers in happier times. Oh, I had my choice of "snarky" photos, but this just isn't the time for it.

Such is the case with Senator Kennedy. I don't care for the man or his politics. I don't like the way he's abused his faith. I don't like his stand on many, many things. That being said, I am more than happy to pray for God's grace for the man. He--and his family--have met with more than their fair share of tragedies in the past 40+ years, and they've been forced to live those tragedies in the public eye, something we "common folk" are spared.

This past Saturday, Senator Kennedy suffered seizures and after testing, it was discovered he has a malignant brain tumor. While this is not a tragedy along the same lines of two brothers being assassinated and a nephew killed in a plane crash, it is still a devastating diagnosis to those who receive it.

While the MSM is already on deathwatch for Senator Kennedy, the public and body politic is swooning over all the "good" he's done during his extensive time in the House.

I beg to differ. It is fine to worry about the man. It is fine to offer condolences regarding his condition.

Let us not forget his actual legacy. His actual legacy is anything but good.

My afternoon drive time is shortened daily by listening to Savage. He has compiled a list of Kennedy's actual votes--his TRUE legacy. I'll print Savage's compilation, but it can also be found here and a follow up post written by Beowulf can be found here.

Here is Senator Kennedy's REAL legacy, his REAL record:

The Real Kennedy Record

# Ted Kennedy was a strong supporter of the 1965 Hart-Celler Act--signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson--which dramatically changed US immigration policy. This legislation replaced the Immigration Act of 1924, which favored immigrants from northern and western Europe. Proponents of the 1965 bill argued immigration laws and quotas were discriminatory, and American immigration policy should accept people not on the basis of their nationality.

# Ted Kennedy has been a staunch supporter of gun control initiatives. In 2006 he was one of the 16 senators who voted against the Vitter Amendment, which prohibited the confiscation of legally-possessed firearms during a disaster.

# Ted Kennedy has …opposed additional Alaska oil drilling. However, he opposes the Cape Wind wind turbine project which would occur near his home.

# Kennedy is one of only five senators who have publicly announced support for same-sex marriage.

# He voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act.

# In 2004, Senator Kennedy cosponsored a bipartisan amendment to strengthen the ability of federal, state and local governments to investigate and prosecute hate crimes.

# Senator Kennedy introduced legislation to prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation.

# To help in the fight against AIDS, Senator Kennedy cosponsored an amendment to provide additional funding for prevention and treatment activities in Africa.

# Voted NO on recommending constitutional ban on flag desecration. (Jun 2006)

# Voted NO on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006)

# Voted YES on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes. (Jun 2002)

# Voted YES on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping. (Oct 2001)

# Voted YES on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. (Jun 2000)

# Voted YES on setting aside 10% of highway funds for minorities & women. (Mar 1998)

# Voted YES on prohibiting job discrimination by sexual orientation. (Sep 1996)

# Voted NO on Amendment to prohibit flag burning. (Dec 1995)

# Voted NO on banning affirmative action hiring with federal funds. (Jul 1995)

# Voted NO on declaring English the official language of the US government. (Jun 2007)

# Voted YES on allowing illegals to participate in Social Security.(May 2006)
And from Beowulf's article here:
We cannot forget that he opened the borders as early as 1965. We cannot forget that he voted to destroy the flag and destroy traditional marriage. We cannot forget–in spite of his illness--he has voted for late-term abortion, i.e. infanticide. We can’t forget that… His poor health does not excuse him for what he has done to our country.
No, ladies and gentlemen, he is not a hero. He is an ill, old man with a history of undermining this country and its greatness. It is not a tragedy in the normal sense of the word, or even in the sense of the way his family has suffered tragedies. It is a medical diagnosis, albeit a devastating one.

I maintain what I have said in several comment threads regarding this man at this time.
He needs to retire with his dignity and live out his years with his family. His family needs this time to adjust to this latest news and be given the time to do so privately. As a human being, he deserves human compassion as does his family.

I have to question, though--obviously he had no knowledge of this tumor and it has been around for quite some time. How many of his votes and his actions have been influenced by this tumor? How many of his decisions are now suspect because of this tumor? Had he not had the tumor, would he have voted differently, made different decisions? We may never know and we have to accept that. What we DON'T have to accept is the sudden elevation to sainthood of a very flawed human being.

May he take the time he's been given and get his entire being in order. Not everyone gets the blessing of a "wake up call" to make things right. Hopefully, he will take advantage of his wake up call.

Tucson Teacher Exposes "Raza" Studies In TUSD

While getting ready for work this morning and listening to my morning talk, I noticed my commentator was reading a letter that had appeared in our local newspaper as a guest opinion. He was rather animated about it so I "tuned in" a little more to get the full story.

As anyone with a pulse in the past year or so knows, Tucson is ground zero for the illegal immigration battle. We not only fight it on the border, we fight it in our schools (which have decided to become sanctuary schools and have told the police, ICE and Border Patrol they aren't allowed on school properties even in an emergency) through the "Ethnic Studies" programs.

We have long suspected what was taught with our tax dollars, whether we like it or not. Our suspicions were confirmed by this guest opinion. Much like Ben Stein's movie "Expelled" (which shuts up and black lists those who disagree with the globull warming hysteria), the "Ethnic Studies" here are churning out kids who have no respect for authority and who buy the lie the American Southwest is actually Aztec land under the memories of Aztlan--of course with no historical reference to the fact the Aztecs forcibly invaded and controlled the lands themselves. Whites are interlopers.

The author of this guest opinion is a former teacher of these studies. However, he is a teacher with conscience and refused to teach this drivel as history. Below is his guest opinion as published by the Tucson Citizen May 21, 2008:

All emphasis mine.

Guest opinion: Raza studies gives rise to racial hostility

JOHN A. WARD

As a former teacher in Tucson Unified School District's hotly debated ethnic studies department, I submit my perspective for the public's consideration.

During the 2002-2003 school year, I taught a U.S. history course with a Mexican-American perspective. The course was part of the Raza/Chicano studies department.

Within one week of the course beginning, I was told that I was a "teacher of record," meaning that I was expected only to assign grades. The Raza studies department staff would teach the class.

I was assigned to be a "teacher of record" because some members of the Raza studies staff lacked teaching certificates. It was a convenient way of circumventing the rules.

I stated that I expected to do more than assign grades. I expected to be involved in teaching the class. The department was less than enthusiastic but agreed.

Immediately it was clear that the class was not a U.S. history course, which the state of Arizona requires for graduation. The class was similar to a sociology course one expects to see at a university.

Where history was missing from the course, it was filled by controversial and biased curriculum.

The basic theme of the curriculum was that Mexican-Americans were and continue to be victims of a racist American society driven by the interests of middle and upper-class whites.

In this narrative, whites are able to maintain their influence only if minorities are held down. Thus, social, political and economic events in America must be understood through this lens.

This biased and sole paradigm justified teaching that our community police officers are an extension of the white power structure and that they are the strongmen used "to keep minorities in their ghettos."

It justified telling the class that there are fewer Mexican-Americans in Tucson Magnet High School's advanced placement courses because their "white teachers" do not believe they are capable and do not want them to get ahead.

It justified teaching that the Southwestern United States was taken from Mexicans because of the insatiable greed of the Yankee who acquired his values from the corrupted ethos of Western civilization.

It was taught that the Southwest is "Atzlan," the ancient homeland of the Aztecs, and still rightfully belongs to their descendants - to all people of indigenous Mexican heritage.

As an educator, I refused to be complicit in a curriculum that engendered racial hostility, irresponsibly demeaned America's civil institutions, undermined our public servants, discounted any virtues in Western civilization and taught disdain for American sovereignty.

When I raised these concerns, I was told that I was a "racist," despite being Hispanic. Acknowledging my heritage, the Raza studies staff also informed me that I was a vendido, the Spanish term for "sellout."

The culmination of my challenge to the department's curriculum was my removal from that particular class. The Raza studies department and its district-level allies pressured the Tucson High administration to silence my concerns through reassignment to another class during that one period.

The Raza studies department used the "racist" card, which is probably the most worn-out and desperate maneuver used to silence competing perspectives.

It is fundamentally anti-intellectual because it immediately stops debate by threatening to destroy the reputation of those who would provide counter arguments.

Unfortunately, I am not the only one to have been intimidated by the Raza studies department in this way.

The diplomatic and flattering language that the department and its proponents use to describe the Raza studies program is an attempt to avoid public scrutiny. When necessary, the department invokes terms such as "witch hunt" and "McCarthyism" to diminish the validity of whatever public scrutiny it does get.

The proponents of this program may conceal its reality to the public. But as a former teacher in the program, I am witness to its ugly underbelly.

Arizona taxpayers should ask themselves whether they should pay for the messages engendered in these classrooms with their hard-earned tax dollars.

The Raza studies department has powerful allies in TUSD, on its governing board and in the U.S. House of Representatives (sidenote: one of the board members is Adelita Grijalva, daughter of US Congressman Raul Grijalva who got his start on the Tucson Unified School District board himself and was the initiator of these studies) and thus operates with much impunity.

Occasionally there are minor irritations from the state superintendent of public instruction and the Legislature.

Ultimately, Arizona taxpayers own TUSD and have the right to change it. The change will have to come from replacing the board if its members refuse to make the Raza studies department respect the public trust.

John A. Ward is a former teacher at Tucson High Magnet School.
Now, quite some time ago I wrote about a protest at another TUSD school, Catalina High Magnet School, wherein an illegal was suspected to have drugs on campus, it was found he was illegal, ICE removed him and his brother from a junior high and deported the family. Read about that here, here and here.

Ladies and gentleman, this is not an issue exclusive to Tucson. Check into your own school district's curriculums. We have four schools on the chopping block due to budget deficits. The school district wants to close schools and continue to teach this hate rather than give up these special interest studies, cut their pork (Adelita's learning well from her father, isn't she?) and teach a proper curriculum. Your school district may be doing the same thing.

The writer makes an excellent point. Ultimately, the school districts are owned by the taxpayers. The legal residents who pay the taxes, not the illegal alien front groups who wish to continue educating illegals at your expense. Therefore, it is up to the taxpayers, the legal citizens, to do something (and NO I am NOT advocating violence) about this. The easiest thing to do is VOTE THEM OUT and put in supervisors who will teach instead of preach.

What are YOU going to do about your own school district? Contact information for TUSD can be found here, on the 104.1 The Truth morning show blog. Make your voice, your opinion and your vote heard.

A Call to Arms--Amnesty, Troop Funding and HR 5515

Ladies and gentlemen, once again the not so bright Congress is trying to force amnesty down our throats. This time, it's been sneaked into the troop funding bill.

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) is trying to sneak in an agricultural amnesty into the troop funding bill. This has been confirmed by both Democratic and Republican sources. It was passed by the Senate Appropriations Committee May 16, 2008 and a vote by the full Senate may occur early this week. Not only does this show Washington doesn't like what we say and is determined to do what it wants rather than perform to the wishes of the people, they have attached this to our troop funding bill. Our. Troop. Funding. Bill. The money for our military, to get them the equipment they need and all that goes with funding the military. Heinously illegal.

People, we have repeatedly told Washington, in NO uncertain terms, we are against amnesty in any form. We have to do it again, and we have to continue to stay on this issue and continue to pressure Washington until they get it through their thick skulls. No amnesty. Ever again. Enforce the existing laws and build the fence. More information on this issue and a chance to send a fax to your representative, free of charge (as well as phone information) can be found at NumbersUSA here. Follow the links, contact your representative and let your voices be heard, loud and clear. Be polite but relentless. Susan at Wake Up America has plenty of information as well.

Through Snooper at A Newt One, we also hear about HR5515. This little gem is designed to keep us from defending ourselves against the illegals and protecting our property and our persons. He was notified through a post at the Eeevil Conservative here. Again, follow the links to find out who the sponsors are, what the text of the bill is, etc. Here is a teaser of her article:
There is NO DOUBT in ANY of their minds that WE the American people are not willing to bend one iota on the issue of illegal alien squatters and those who employ them - until they take care of enforcing the laws that already exist (deportation and holding employers accountable) and find a way to STOP this invasion at the border FIRST!
Ladies and gentlemen it is clear--we have GOT to clean out Washington. Term limits is a great place to start (although my freshman representative--Gabrielle Giffords--is one of the sponsors of HR5515--and she ran on a strong enforce the borders campaign--what a liar). It is OBVIOUS those on the Hill don't give two hoots about their constituency. The inmates are running the asylum and we have got to (figuratively speaking) lock the inmates up and take back control of said asylum. As of yesterday.

If you want a solution (BESIDES--NOT instead of--calling, writing, faxing, emailing and flooding their offices with faxes before this vote), pay a visit to "What If America?". It offers a real solution, basically helping build the fence the government doesn't want to build and using the government's money to do so.

The time for talk is over. It's time to act.

Communists Have One...Americans Have Two

We have all heard of The Naked Communist, the tome written by W. Cleon Skousen. My friend Snooper at A Newt One has broken it down into an easily digestible "List of 45" and I've linked it from Susan at Wake Up America.
List of 45:

The communist goals were entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69).

1. US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war. ATTEMPTED.

2. US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war. ATTEMPTED.

3. Develop the illusion total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of "moral strength." ATTEMPTED.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. IN PROGRESS.

5. Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites. IN PROGRESS.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination. DONE.

7. Grant recognition of Red China and admission of Red China to the UN. DONE.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN. UNDONE.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress. DONE.

10. Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN. DONE.

11. Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo). DONE.

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. DONE.

13. Do away with loyalty oaths. IN PROGRESS.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office. DONE.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the US. DONE-DEMOCRATS.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights. DONE.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books. DONE.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers. DONE.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack. DONE.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions. DONE.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures. DONE.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms. DONE.

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive and meaningless art." DONE.

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press. DONE.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV. DONE.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural and healthy." DONE.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch." DONE.

28. Eliminate prayer or any phrase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state." DONE.

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis. DONE.

30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man". DONE.

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture". Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over. DONE.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. DONE.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus. DONE.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. DONE.

35. Discredit, and eventually dismantle, the FBI. IN PROGRESS.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions. DONE.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business. DONE.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat. DONE.

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals. DONE.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. DONE.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents. DONE.

42. Create the impression violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political, or social problems. DONE.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government. DONE.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal. DONE.

45. Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike. IN PROGRESS.
Not a pretty picture when laid out so clearly. It is a clear and easily understood roadmap of exactly what’s been going on the past 50 or so years in this country. The left has been actively engaged in making this list true while the right has been sleeping, blissfully unaware, with a few rare exceptions in our leadership (Ronald W. Reagan comes to mind).

The American public has been lulled into a false sense of security by these infiltrations, so much so, the vast majority don’t even realize their country is gone.

We do have hope, and we have it from two sources with excellent plans of their own, what I call the American Manifestos.

The first is from Michael Savage. I don’t always agree with Savage; at times he can be way over the top. I do agree with his ideas and his knowledge of knowing exactly what’s going on and not being afraid to tell you in no uncertain terms. You may not like the messenger–that’s fine–but you better listen to the message.

This is Michael’s plan to restore America, the “Savage Manifesto” (emphasis is mine):

DOMESTIC:

A. Cut Federal Income Taxes by 2 percent per year over four years, for a minimum total of 8 percent over four years.

B. Reduce Federal Government Departments in size by 4 percent each year, for a total reduction of size by 16 percent over four years.

C. Eliminate all public assistance for able-bodied recipients. Cut off all public assistance for immigrants for five years. Repatriate those who are not working, after two years.

D. Immediately impose tariffs on cars and trucks owned by foreign entities, even if they’re manufactured in America.

E. Cause illegal aliens to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, and then, repatriate them. Pay them a one-time worker fee.

F. Increase pay for active duty combat troops by 10 percent. Number Two. Fire any unmarried military person becoming pregnant while on active duty.”

G. Make abortions illegal, except when the physical survival of the mother is threatened, to be determined by three medical doctors. Require Norplant for all women on welfare of childbearing age.

H. Close all houses of sex and massage.

I. Expand the DEA, while decriminalizing most drugs.

J. Regarding the media; one, eliminate all foreign ownership of any American media entity. Two, break up overly large conglomerates, like News Corporation.

K. Encourage child bearing among tax paying citizens. Create a marriage incentive, through lower taxes for married heterosexual couples. And a government subsidy for each child conceived and carried to birth. Increase the subsidies for each year the couple remains married.

L. Repatriate all illegal immigrants now incarcerated. Encourage all other illegals to self-repatriate through double taxation on wages and fines on employers.”

INTERNATIONAL:

A. Iraq: Send in Iraqi troops to mop up pockets of resistance. Make Iraq pay with their oil for the cost of the war. Cordon off Sadr City, force all residents to leave, then go in and mop up all resistance fighters. Divide Iraq into three to four sectors: Sunni, Shiite, Kurd and International. Remove all U.S. troops after above achieved.

B. Iran: One: Sanctions, embargoes and mined harbors. Nothing goes in, nothing comes out.

C. North Korea: Destroy their launching platforms, impose a Naval blockade on all goods coming in or out, except food.

D. Israel Arab Entities: Give Israel four years to become self-sufficient. Cut off all foreign aid to all nations.

E. China: 20 percent tariffs on all China made goods immediately and rising by 5 percent each year for each year China refuses to revalue their currency.

F. United Nations: Withdraw immediately. Remove all Diplomats and staff. Convert the United Nations building into housing for the working poor.

G. Mexico: Force Mexico to pay one barrel of oil for every illegal alien in the United States of America per month.

We have another brilliant mind who has come up with what the Republicans need to do in order to get back on track and stay on track–and stay in control.

It has been shown every time a voter is given a choice between a true conservative and a liberal, the conservative will win. Hands down. Americans don’t WANT to become "Europe lite". WE ARE AMERICANS and we like our way of doing things. Too many men and women have paid the ultimate price to grant us our freedoms. We’re not going to roll over and give it away.

So how do you stay in control? You give the people what they crave. TRUE CONSERVATISM. The corny “Donna Reed”, “Father Knows Best” and “Leave It to Beaver” type of conservatism we don’t see anymore.

Granted, part of that is illusory nostalgia. But it was based in solid fact. Mom stayed home and took care of the kids, dad earned a living and paid the bills, families took vacations once or twice a year, small government, marriage was forever and having a child out of wedlock wasn’t something to be proud of.

Churches were packed, children were respectful of their elders, families stuck together through thick and thin. School days started with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance and the core curriculum was taught instead of a lot of special interests.

A family had a radio, a stereo if they were lucky and if they were really lucky, a TV. Children played outside and got scraped, bruised and cut up while they played ball, roller skated, rode their bikes and built forts in the backyard.

The 4th of July meant more than a day off from work, as did Veteran’s Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day and Flag Day (my children go nuts on flag day because I love my flag and have it everywhere). Soldiers were given the respect they had earned. There were relatively few draft dodgers.

Abortions were confined to back alleys because people inherently knew them for what they were and how wrong they were. If you became pregnant you often went to a school for unwed mothers and gave your baby up for adoption if the father was too craven to marry you. Unwed mothers carried a stigma of shame the rest of their lives.

If someone had to go on welfare or government aid it was viewed as charity and something to be avoided. It wasn’t something to be proud of.

It was all these things, and so much more, which made America great and America the Beautiful. We were blessed and we took it for granted.

Yet while we were “sleeping” the communists, the true haters, began their insidious infiltrations into every road and institution they could find.

We see where we are today because of that infiltration.

The Republican party ran itself as a business. Now, it runs itself as an insane asylum and the inmates have taken over. So I present the last “Manifesto”, written by Sonlit Knight at A Newt One. It’s hard hitting and right on target.

The Knight’s Manifesto (again, emphasis mine):
Here it is. My Thirteen-Step program to a PERMANENT Republican majority. I know it won't be implemented. It makes too much sense. In fact, *most of the tactics have been in practice by the Democrats for eons.

*1. Fold the big tent up and burn it. Let's use John McCain as the standard. Anyone who is not manifestly right of John McCain gets no money or support. No tolerance for dissent from Conservative principles: economic, national security and social. Recruit only bonafides for candidates. Draft a rock rib, Conservative platform and force prospective candidates to sign it or they get no support.

*2. Follow our lead and scrap the New Tone. The principle thing which makes A Newt One different from other blogs is we have absolutely no problem fighting libtards with their own nasty tactics. We suffer no foolishness from moonbats whatsoever. Liberals believe they are entitled to be heard. They aren't. The place for liberals is in the corner, dunce cap on and mouth shut. Reagan wasn't nice to liberals. He laughed at them and made fun of them. He then steamrolled them. We need to do the same. Attack relentlessly and without mercy. Keep the Liberals on defense at all times by attacking them on the issues. Attack them on their own turf.
Pound Americans daily by showing how liberal tax hikes will make their paychecks smaller, how environmental nuts they support force us to import oil from terrorists and cost you $65 to fill your mini-van. Show Americans every day how the same party that talks ''healthcare costs'', kisses the backsides of trial lawyers who drive those costs up with bajillion dollar frivolous lawsuits. Make liberals defend ALL their wrong headed policies- every single one. Publish pictures of aborted fetuses and gay men swapping spit in a church. Show pictures of decaying schools from the districts of liberals who oppose school choice. Post pictures of children murdered by terrorists juxtaposed against the names and pictures of the gutless libtards who don't want to fight them. Produce videos of scientists deriding the folly of evolution and global warming theory. Appeal to American's common sense.

3. Follow the example of this year's Democratic primary season and pit liberal ''groups'' against each other. Divide and conquer. Use the racism and bigotry of liberals against them. Black vs White, Straight vs Gay, Old vs Young, Rich vs Poor. Fair? Maybe not. Nice? Certainly not.

I don't give a flip. Rule #1- Win. Rule #2- See rule #1. If you have to use their cut-throat tactics, so be it. This means that every stupid comment a libtard candidate makes gets played 100,000 times. The same goes for every attack on one lib by another during primary season.

4. Promote fear of Islam. We are constantly accused of this. If only it were true. Tell the truth of this barbaric religion of murder. Reject the politically correct horseshit that Islam must respected. It is a garbage religion. Say so. Emphasize daily that Islamic terrorists want to kill every American and the only way to stop them is to kill them and eradicate this malevolent religion of hate. Promise America if you are elected, you will put public school indoctrination into Islam to an end and vigorously oppose efforts to coddle Muslims (the Flight 93 memorial). You will be ASTOUNDED at the level of support.

5. An aggressive promotion of ''homophobia''. Most Americans find fags disgusting and are sick to the point of rage with them being given special treatment.

6. Our policy re: Illegal Immigrants. Deport them. All of them. Fine the crap out of employers who hire them, even as subcontractors or subs of subs. REQUIRE photo ID to vote, get a drivers license, go to a hospital or take a crap.

Build the wall 20 feet high and 6 feet thick and arm it with guards trained to shoot first and ask questions second.

Again, advocate this policy and voters will line up 6 deep for miles to vote for you.

7. Pedophiles. Get a rope. First offense. The end.

8. Seditious bastards. See #6

9. No liberal attack goes unanswered. Ever.

10. Drill and Refine. Screw the caribou and screw the liberals. Declare “Oil Blackmail” a clear and present danger to our National Security and command it by Executive order.

11. Bomb Iran. Just bomb it. Quick, decisive, overwhelming. Dare anybody else to F with us.

12. Tell Israel to take off the gloves and do what they need to do.

13. Cut taxes seriously for upper and middle class. Top rate down to 10%. Eliminate the Marriage penalty AND the Death tax.

Implement my agenda. You will win 45 States in a Presidential Election and 2/3 majorities in both houses.

I guarantee it.
There you have it folks. Both the Savage Manifesto AND Knight’s Manifesto are hard hitting, no nonsense responses to the Communist agenda alive and flourishing in this country. Americans, TRUE AMERICANS are sick and tired of (as Savage calls them) the RDDP’s (Red Diaper Doper Babies) ruining everything and the rest of the population sitting back and allowing them to do so. Get off your duffs, wake up and take your country back. It’s now or never.

Happy Bunny Sez...

Lately it seems as if BHO is extremely thin skinned, irritable, argumentative, and self centered. No matter what is said, or by whom, he thinks it's all about him. No matter what happens in the news, he again thinks it's all about him or a perfect time to pimp himself.

For example, Bush said this (and about damn time, too):
Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided." We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history. (Applause.)

BHO countered with this:
"It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack," Obama said in a statement released to CNN by his campaign. "It is time to turn the page on eight years of policies that have strengthened Iran and failed to secure America or our ally Israel…."

"George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president's extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel," Obama's statement said.
Lieberman said this:
"President Bush got it exactly right today when he warned about the threat of Iran and its terrorist proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah. It is imperative that we reject the flawed and naïve thinking that denies or dismisses the words of extremists and terrorists when they shout “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and that holds that—if only we were to sit down and negotiate with these killers—they would cease to threaten us. It is critical to our national security that our commander-in-chief is able to distinguish between America’s friends and America’s enemies, and not confuse the two.”
McCain said this:
"Yes, there have been appeasers in the past, and the president is exactly right, and one of them is Neville Chamberlain. I believe that it’s not an accident that our hostages came home from Iran when President Reagan was president of the United States. He didn’t sit down in a negotiation with the religious extremists in Iran, he made it very clear that those hostages were coming home.'’

Asked if he thought Mr. Obama was an appeaser — the Democratic candidate has said he would be willing to meet with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran — Mr. McCain sidestepped and said, “I think that Barack Obama needs to explain why he wants to sit down and talk with a man who is the head of a government that is a state sponsor of terrorism, that is responsible for the killing of brave young Americans, that wants to wipe Israel off the map, who denies the Holocaust. That’s what I think Senator Obama ought to explain to the American people.'’

BHO countered with this:
"That was frustrating enough," he said of Bush's words. "Then John McCain gives a speech. He gave a speech in the morning where he talked about the need for civility in our politics. He talked about elevating the tone in our country ... Not an hour later,  he turned around and embraced George Bush's attacks on Democrats. He jumped on a call with a bunch of bloggers and said that I wasn’t fit to protect this nation that I love."

McCain "accused me of not being fit to protect this nation — a nation my grandfather served in World War II — a nation that’s given me everything that I have," Obama said, then pivoted to attack Bush and McCain on a series of issues: Iraq; the survival of Osama bin Laden's and Al Qaeda's leadership; Iran's strength; and Hamas' and Hezbollah's ascendancy.
And on and on.

Today, Sen. Ted Kennedy was taken to the hospital with stroke like symptoms and it was later determined to be at least two seizures.  Now, I'm not Kennedy's largest fan.  However, unlike those on the left who wished Nancy Reagan would DIE, who rejoiced when Ronnie did die and who held parties over Ronnie's Alzheimer's diagnosis, I don't wish the man ill.  I do think this would be a wonderful opportunity for him to retire with dignity, though.

This is BHO's "response":
...told reporters he has "been in contact with the [Kennedy] family."

"They are in our thoughts and prayers," Obama said. "As I have said many times before, Ted Kennedy is a giant in American political history. He has done more for health care of others than just about anybody in history and so we are going to be rooting for him. And I insist on being optimistic about how it's going to turn out."
He just had to get in his little stump speech, didn't he?  He couldn't even leave it alone; someone else was getting the attention he felt he should be getting. What he was really saying was this:

Reminds me of another democrat who whines when he doesn't get the spotlight-"BJ Clinton".  It seems both suffer from ADD--Adulation Deficit Disorder.
