CAIR Blames Bloggers for Tyson's Reinstatement of Labor Day

Tyson Foods gave Labor Day back to the Laborers today and Islam's jihad on the traditional American lifestyle took a significant hit.

Ibrahim Hooper, Council on American Islamic Relation's (CAIR) National Communications Director, says Tyson Food's reinstatement of Labor Day as a paid holiday at their Shelbyville, TN plant, is

...the result of the backlash from anti-Muslim hate (Web) sites and Islamophobes on the Internet..."

This unsourced quote from the same Seattle Times article shows how deeply the Islamification of American life has embedded itself in our daily lives:

Requests for workplace accommodations of Muslim religious obligations have become common around the country, say Muslim advocates.

This is a broad failure for CAIR. It will not be easy to hi-jack another American tradition.

Shelbyville, Tennessee's mayor, along with some elected state officials, made this statement in a letter:

For over a hundred years, Labor Day has stood as a symbol to honor the working men and women of this country. But for the past few years traditions like Labor Day have been under attack. This time it's gone too far and we, as patriotic Americans, must draw our line in the sand," the letter said states.

As far as "anti-Muslim hate web sites" being credited for this failure, I'm pleased to take my portion of the credit, and CAIR can call us what they will, but for me, I am against the Islamification of all things in America: no prayer rugs, no special prayer rooms, no foot baths, no Islamic prayers in schools, no directions to Mecca. A Muslim's right to pray on company time or in a public facility is no more important than my right. I have no right to visible prayer in any of those arenas.

Remember US Airways and the "flying imams?" The six clerics alarmed airport workers, US Airways passengers and crew with their "suspicious" behavior, and were removed from the flight before take-off.

One of the clerics was Omar Shahin. From The Wall Street Opinion Journal:

From 2000 to 2003, he headed the Islamic Center of Tucson, which terrorism expert Rita Katz described in the Washington Post as holding "basically the first cell of al Qaeda in the United States.

What was the suspicious behavior:

Some prayed loudly in the gate area, spoke angrily about the U.S. and Saddam, switched seats and unnecessarily requested seat belt extenders with heavy buckles that could be used as weapons, according to witnesses.

America's first Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison (D-MN), who took his oath to office on the Koran, said the imam's situation reflects a misunderstanding of Muslim prayer and will be sorted out in court. The airport is in Ellison's district:

While some constituents have understood the fears of the passenger who reported the clerics' prayers as suspicious activity, many more have expressed shock and surprise at what they perceive as discrimination," Ellison wrote.

Well, maybe but Katherine Kersten, writing for the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported:

So far, Minnesotans have said a resolute "no" to Muslim activists' agenda; in an informal Star Tribune poll, 92% of respondents blamed the imams' own behavior for their airport detention.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) spokesman, Patrick Hogan told Ms. Kersten:

...there is a sense that we've seen just the opening skirmishes. As MAC spokesman Patrick Hogan put it, "I think people are afraid there will be a chapter two."

Exactly, and chapter two, three, four and on and on are happening all over America. Tyson Foods' disregard for America's beloved holidays is but one more example of bowing to the Islamification of all things, but America won this one too.

Increasingly, Americans are drawing a line in the sand. We will win this battle when we draw the line at our borders.

The flying imams filed a lawsuit against US Airways with CAIR as their Council.

John Edwards Blames his own Celebrity

The John Edwards "affair," and his own words should give pause to every voter, not for the obvious reasons, but because he is such a weasel at heart.

...through a lot of work and success I got some acclaim as a lawyer. People were telling me, oh you're such a great person, such a great lawyer, such a talent, no telling what you'll do.

This was when I was 30, 31 years old. Then I went from being a young senator to being considered for vice president, running for president, being a vice presidential candidate, all of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissicism that leads you to believe you can do anything you want, you are invincible and there will be no consequences.

Blaming your public fall from grace on your ability to shill your followers is disingenuous and despicable.

The lesson for voters? Pompous and grandiose candidates are rejected by American voters, as was John Edwards, John Kerry and Al Gore.

Barack Obama will find that he is the not the One We Have Been Waiting For.

Abu Sufyan as a deputation and Abu Huraira was among us. Each of us would prepare food for his companions turn by turn for a day. (Accordingly) when it was my turn I said: Abu Huraira, it is my turn today. So they came to my place. The food was not yet ready, so I said to Abu Huraira: I wish you could narrate to us a tradition from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) until the food was ready. (Complying with my request) Abu Huraira said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) on the day of the Conquest of Mecca. He appointed Khalid b. Walid as commander of the right flank, Zubair as commander of the left flank, and Abu 'Ubaida as commander of the foot-soldiers (who were to advance) to the interior of the valley. He (then) said: Abu Huraira, call the Ansar to me. So I called out to them and they came hurriedly. He said: O ye Assembly of the Ansaar, do you see the ruffians of the Quraish? They said: Yes. He said: See, when you meet them tomorrow, wipe them out. He hinted at this with his hand, placing his right hand on his left and said: You will meet us at as-Safa'. (Abu Huraira continued): Whoever was seen by them that day was put to death. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) ascended the mount of as-Safa'. The Ansar also came there and surrounded the mount. Then came Abu Sufyan and said: Messenger ot Allah, the Quraish have perished. No member of the Quraish tribe will survive this day. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Who enters the house of Abu Safyin will be safe, who lays down arms will be safe, who locks his door will be safe. (some of) the Ansar said: (After all) the man has been swayed by tenderness towards his family and love for his city. At this, Divine inspiration descended upon the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He said: You were saying that the man has been swayed by tenderness towards his family and love for his city. Do you know what my name is? I am Muhammad, the bondman of God and His Messenger. (He repeated this thrice.) I left my native place for the take of Allah and joined you. So I will live with you and die with you. Now the Ansar said: By God, we said (that) only out of our greed for Allah and His Messenger. He said: Allah and His Apostle testify to you and accept your apology.

The narrator said: Now the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) called upon the people (for the encounter). So they set out and encamped at Badr. (Soon) the water-carriers of the Quraish arrived. Among them was a black slave belonging to Banu al-Hajjaj. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) caught him and interrogated him about Abu Sufyan and his companions. He said: I know nothing about Abu Sufyan, but Abu Jahl, Utba, Shaiba and Umayya b. Khalaf are there. When he said this, they beat him. Then he said: All right, I will tell you about Abu Sufyan. They would stop beating him and then ask him (again) about Abu Sufyan. He would again say', I know nothing about Abu Sufyan, but Abu Jahl. 'Utba, Shaiba and Umayya b. Khalaf are there. When he said this, they beat him likewise. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was standing in prayer. When he saw this he finished his prayer and said: By Allah in Whose control is my life, you beat him when he is telling you the truth, and you let him go when he tells you a lie. The narrator said: Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: This is the place where so and so would be killed. He placed his hand on the earth (saying) here and here; (and) none of them fell away from the place which the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) had indicated by placing his hand on the earth.
