Community Organizing: Seizing Power, Creating Socialism

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

[transcription of above] Our final goal is the destruction of imperialism, the seizure of power, and the creation of socialism. Our strategy for this stage of the struggle is to organize the oppressed people of the imperial nation itself to join the colonies in the attack on imperialism. The process of attacking and weakening imperialism involves defeat of all kinds of national chauvinism and arrogance; this precondition to our fight for socialism.
The above from Prairie Fire - written by William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn

Zomblog has copies of a rare Weather Underground newspaper known as Osawatomie. Published in 1975 as William Ayers and Bernardine Dohn were hiding from authorities, and as Zomblog put it:
"transitioning from terrorism..."
to inside work for the revolution...what we now know was a plan to overthrow the government of the United States, tells us what community organizing is all about, and it's all about the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis.

If you are beyond weary of hearing about William Ayers' connection to Barack Obama, Zomblog makes THE point, and I'll use it here, because it cannot be said better:
Ayers was not simply protesting "against" the Vietnam War. Firstly, he wasn't against war in principle, he was agitating for the victory of the communist forces in Vietnam. In other words: He wasn't against the war, he was against our side in the war. This is spelled out in great detail in Prairie Fire. Secondly, and more significantly, the Vietnam War was only one of many issues cited by the Weather Undergound as the justifications for their violent acts. As you will see below, in various quotes from Prairie Fire and in their own list of their violent actions (and in additional impartial documentary links), Ayers and the Weather Underground enumerated dozens of different grievances as the rationales for their bombings -- their overarching goal being to inspire a violent mass uprising against the United States government in order to establish a communist "dictatorship of the proletariat," in Ayers' own words.
The plan was to overturn the government by "creativity and AUDACITY."
The following from Osawatomie:

[transcript]… the system itself is inhuman, and socialism is a real alternative; the energy crisis is the fault of Rockefeller and the oil companies, not the Arab people; unemployment is caused by capitalism not “illegal aliens” stealing jobs; war in Indochina or the Mideast is part of the problem, not the solution; political and social action can change things.

[transcript of above] Organizers must be intimately aware of every problem and each injustice, and they must show that underneath each particular problem lies another problem, and another and another until you reach the system of imperialism itself. The system is designed to create problems for poor, Third World and working-class people. Organizers need to find small solutions to small problems and great solutions to great problems. Our solutions should be drastic.

We need to build a successful struggle, strong organization and a winning revolutionary party. This is a process, which will not emerge full-blown from our minds. It will emerge and change and grow from practice. We know where to begin.

It is with all this in mind that we have created OSAWATOMIE, the revolutionary voice of the Weather Underground Organization.
The following from Ayers and Dohrn's book, Prairie Fire (more at Zomblog):

William Ayers is a communist. But don't take my word for it. He said so himself:
[transcript of above] We are a guerrilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for more than four years.
[Zomblog] And not some nicey-nice peace-and-love kind of communist. Through his group the Weather Underground, Ayers was planning to "seize power" in a violent communist takeover of the United States:
[transcript of above] We need a revolutionary communist praty in order to lead the struggle, give coherence and direction to the fight, seize power and build the new society.

Manufactured Crisis:
[transcript of above] Our job is to tap the discontent seething in many sectors of the population, to find allies everywhere people are hungry or angry, to mobilize poor and working people against imperialism.
You've heard by now that Prarie Fire was dedicated to U.S. "political prisoners,"...one of those deemed a "political prisoner" is Sirhan Sirhan - the murderer of Robert F. Kennedy. Here it is, scanned directly from the book:

Why I'm Voting For Obama

(Cross-posted from America Needs Me)

(Note: America Needs Me would like to welcome its first guest contributor ever. Buffi lives in West Hollywood and works in the entertainment industry. She's asked to keep her personal information to a minimum here because, "You Republicans have, like, guns and stuff.")

Why I’m Voting For Obama

Well, let’s just start by saying that I’ve never really been a political sort of person before because I thought my vote didn’t matter. But then that guy from the Black Eyed Peas told me it would. You know, the one who isn’t Fergie. And is a guy. Anyway. He told me it did count but only if I voted for Bar…I can’t say His name just yet, I’ll get too emotional.

I’m young but I know that He appeals to all ages because that old lady from the 80’s loves him too. I think her name is Magina. She’s divorcing some British guy and she bought an African school and took a kid from it once. I heard she was really hot when Reagan was president and people my age gave a crap about MTV. But she loves…Him.

I have to say His name or everything inside of me might explode.

Obama.

OMG, I did it! Just like His website, I will only refer to him by his last name.

Obama.

Just like all those chanting Germans said it. There isn’t anything that thousands of chanting Germans could be wrong about, is there? Europeans are SO da bomb!

I support Obama because only He will bring change. This election is all about change. We need change in Washington. I don’t want George Bush to win again. If Obama doesn’t win, it will be four more years of George Bush. I said this to someone who brought up something about “term limits”. I just stuck my hand in his face and said, “That’s old politics! I’m for change and a new way.” Yeah, I went there.

I support Obama because I can call Sarah Palin a c**t and hate her dumb Alaska way of having kids and a job but still tell people I’m a feminist. Besides, the New York Times said she probably killed Abraham Lincoln, so, I mean, you know, that’s bad.

I support Obama because He is going to take money from other people and give it to me. I think that’s called racism. I’m not sure. Something is called racism, because they say it a lot.

I support Obama because He picked that guy from the wax museum with fake hair to be His running mate. It’s important to have people from olden times around to explain things like the Beatles and hockey to the president. Wax Museum Guy even saw President Roosevelt on TV so he must be really smart about things I can’t understand.

I support Obama because he smiles a lot and, well, it’s good to smile. Especially if our enemies are talking to us. We should always smile then. And listen. A hug would be nice. Whoa, here comes an enemy and he has a really, really, thick vest on. He might be hard to hug.

I support Obama because I can get free health care during an abortion, a sinus infection or a herpes flare-up. If any other man offered me that I would marry him. But I wouldn’t tell him about the herpes. Or the abortion. I just want free stuff, actually.

I support Obama because He supports alternative fuels. That means growing so much corn to make ethanol that poor people starve to death and no one needs to drive or fly to see them. That saves gas. Seriously, how obvious is that, people? Get with the program! Oh, windmills are important too.

I support Obama because He and that blond guy on MSNBC have such a beautiful love affair. America is totally ready for an openly gay president.

Mostly, I support Obama because He’s, well, gosh, just look at Him. And listen to Him. He keeps saying all those words. Then He turns them into sentences with all kinds of punctuation and stuff. Like the one time He said…um, something I don’t remember right now but He said it in such an awesome way that my friends and I are still talking about the total awesomeness of it.

Obama makes me feel happy inside. Like McDonald’s fries. But when He is president He will make sure I get those fries for free.

That’s why I support Obama.

Biden Compares Obama to JFK - Warns He'll be Way Down in the Polls Within a Year

Senator Biden, V.P. candidate, said of his runningmate to fundraiser attendees in Seattle, WA on Sunday:

"Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

"Gird your loins. We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.

...I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."

This is not the first time an Obama-Kennedy comparison has been drawn. In the Spring, Hillary reminded the world about John F. Kennedy's June assassination as a way of explaining why it was too early for her to concede the Democratic nomination.

Many have said that Michelle Obama is emulating the Jackie O look in her dress and style.

Frank Rich of the New York Times points out that Obama's weaknesses resembles JFK's weaknesses at the start of his campaign.

Even Senator Ted Kennedy and several members of the Kennedy family have used John F. Kennedy's legacy to publicly endorse Barack Obama.

Would these comparisons continue into an Obama presidency? Or would they also dissolve into nothingness with the first year, as Biden has suggested, as the liberal left is given a reality check?

Obama's Admiration of China - A Country with No Water

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

"Everybody’s watching what’s going on in Beijing right now with the Olympics. Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are vastly the superior to us now which means if you are a corporation deciding where to do business you’re starting to think, Beijing looks like a pretty good option.”

The problem is, China has no water. Beijing may look sleek and gorgeous at the Olympics, but the truth is, water is an apocalyptic issue to the Chinese.
Beijing, the business environment admired by Senator Obama, is a northern city - where the water is not. Forget the reports of diverting water from farmers for the Olympics; that's no big deal, but what is a big deal is that Beijing's water supply is down to one-third of the supply available just ten years ago. MSNBC reported that despite China's efforts to quell the use of water by farmers and move industry out of the city, Beijing's water has dropped by two-thirds in ten years:
BEIJING - When 16,000 athletes and officials show up this summer, they will be able to turn the taps and get drinkable water — something few Beijing residents ever have enjoyed.
China has a long history of championing water conservation, but with an exploding population and often less-than responsible regulatory policies, few measurable results are evident.

In May 2000 the Earth Policy Institute reported that the water table underneath the city of Beijing fell by eight feet, and since 1965 the water table has fallen nearly 200 feet.

In November 2007, The International Herald Tribune confirmed that the underground water table beneath Shijiazhuang, China is "steadily running dry."
The underground water table is sinking about four feet a year. Municipal wells have already drained two-thirds of the local groundwater.
In the 1950's, Shijiazhuang was home to 335,000 people. Today, the population of the city and its surrounds is in excess of 9 million. Increased population, accelerated housing and commercial development, combined with policies that have sometimes allowed building at the "lowest points in the city's water table," have created a mammoth problem.
China’s disadvantage, compared with the United States, is that it has a smaller water supply yet almost five times as many people. China has about 7 percent of the world’s water resources and roughly 20 percent of its population. It also has a severe regional water imbalance, with about four-fifths of the water supply in the south.
Throughout the country groundwater shows unacceptable levels of contamination. From WorldWatch Intitute:
The water in Zhao Bo’s village on the outskirts of Beijing was a sickly shade of green. After drinking from the local well, Zhao and his fellow villagers could not go a month without suffering from diarrhea.
From SciDev.net:
[BEIJING] Some 65 million Chinese rely on underground water supplies that are heavily contaminated with arsenic or fluoride, according to the first national survey of the quality of the country's supply of drinking water.
Another problem: China can only barely feed it's people, and water is part of the problem.

China's plan to self-feed 95% of its population "within 12 years," faces huge challenges. Current facts reveal the enormity of the task.

Vice Minister of Water Resources, Hu Siyi, recently announced a price increase on water usage to the consumer. Siyi cited the country's "low-level" of efficiency of agricultural water usage. According to the Vice Minister, 70% of China's water is used for agricultural purposes.

In February 2008, China announced an increase in the country's "minimum purchasing price for wheat and rice," in an effort to protect the profit levels of the farming industry:
The announcement said the minimum purchasing price for different types of rice ranges from 75 yuan (about US$10.4) to 79 yuan per 50 kilograms; while that for wheat ranges between 70 yuan and 75 yuan.

Last year the minimum purchasing price for wheat and rice stood at 69 to 72 yuan and 70 to 75 yuan, respectively.
I can't think of anything (and I've spent some time thinking about it) in China that is superior - certainly not "vastly superior" to the U.S. Trains? China must have them; the people cannot afford autos. Ports? China cranks out the goods to the West, but we are certainly capable of receiving them in our ports. Airports: I count twelve major airports for China's huge population. Getting around this enormous country must be hell.

Obama: not much thought given to his remarks - trying to convince Americans how very disadvantaged we are. Most Americans know better.

John Edwards Blames his own Celebrity

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

The John Edwards "affair," and his own words should give pause to every voter, not for the obvious reasons, but because he is such a weasel at heart.

...through a lot of work and success I got some acclaim as a lawyer. People were telling me, oh you're such a great person, such a great lawyer, such a talent, no telling what you'll do.

This was when I was 30, 31 years old. Then I went from being a young senator to being considered for vice president, running for president, being a vice presidential candidate, all of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissicism that leads you to believe you can do anything you want, you are invincible and there will be no consequences.
Blaming your public fall from grace on your ability to shill your followers is disingenuous and despicable.

The lesson for voters? Pompous and grandiose candidates are rejected by American voters, as was John Edwards, John Kerry and Al Gore.

Barack Obama will find that he is the not the One We Have Been Waiting For.

Tyson Foods Brings Latent Tuberculosis to Emporia, Kansas

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Photo from the Topeka Capital-Journal. Their caption reads:
Courtesy / Kansas Health Institute
An estimated 750 to 1,000 Somali refugees are living in Emporia, a magnet because of jobs at the Tyson Foods meatpacking plant. Many have latent tuberculosis.

H/T to Texas Fred and his comment thread.

Tyson Foods' blatant disregard for the institutions of America is worse than we thought - and it stretches outside just the Shelbyville, TN plant.

Here's how the Topeka Capital-Journal under the heading "Somalis arrive in Emporia with tuberculosis" describes the "exotic, new arrivals:"
EMPORIA — When hundreds of Somali refugees began showing up to work at the meatpacking plant, nurses Lori Torres and Renee Hively were among the first to get to know the exotic, new arrivals.

"We got notified a day in advance that 70 Somalis were being transferred from a (Tyson Foods) plant in Nebraska," Hively recalled. "That 70 soon grew into 400, seemingly overnight."...Torres is the case manager for about 160 Somalis in Emporia who have been diagnosed with latent tuberculosis....

WHERE WAS the Center for Disease Control?
HOW DID THESE PEOPLE GET INTO THE U.S.?

I found the following at immigration.com:
Section 212(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states that aliens with specific health-related conditions are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible for admission into the United States. The Attorney General may waive application of this inadmissibility on health-related grounds if an application for waiver is filed and approved by the consular office considering the application for a visa. The Division of Migration and Quarantine, NCID uses this application primarily to collect information to establish and maintain records of waiver applicants in order to notify the Immigration and Naturalization Service when terms, conditions and controls imposed by waiver are not met. NCID is requesting the extension of this data for 3 years. There total estimated annualize burden is 167 hours.
More from the Topeka Capital-Journal:
...each of the department's [Tyson's] nurses divided the case management responsibilities, but with the surge it was decided Torres would take them all, in essence creating a full-time tuberculosis nurse position. They also persuaded the clinic's managers to hire a full-time Somali translator. [Your package of chicken fingers just went up a quarter.}
Here's the EXOTIC word again:
The Somalis are the most recent and perhaps most exotic wave for this city of about 25,000 people. Not everyone in Emporia has been welcoming. There have been incidents of vandalism and an armed robbery attempt at the Ayan Restaurant, a Somali-owned eatery that also serves as an informal community center for the refugees.

An article posted Nov. 3 on the Emporia Gazette Web site about a state grant to Catholic Community Services to help the Somalis settling in Emporia drew scores of angry, anonymous reader reactions, including this one:

"Emporia is going to be its own 3rd world country before long because of all the damn, bleeding hearts."

"They came post 9/11. They're black and they're Muslim," Hively said, describing some of the hostility demonstrated toward the Somalis. "Emporia didn't have many black people before. This is a small town."
If you haven't caught the latest news, Tyson contractually, with its Union, canceled Labor Day - no joking here - at their Shelbyville, TN plant and replaced it with a Muslim holiday sometime each Fall.

Let us put Tyson Foods out of business!
No extraordinary measures needed.
No time out of your day
Just don't buy anything made by Tyson Foods

Tyson is not only about chicken. They sell beef and pork products, including bacon. One of my readers suggested that we query restaurants. Are they using Tyson for their chicken fingers, hot wings, etc.?

Don't buy Tyson until Labor Day is acknowledged again at their Shelbyville plant and these refugees are sent back home.

Obama's Global Poverty Act - Here's the Evil in S.2433

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

The issues are staggering, and while we might be compelled to believe that these things can never happen to America, read the following and see if you still feel, in today's devious world political climate that these evils cannot surmount our freedoms.

Barack Obama's Global Poverty Act will undoubtedly cost the U.S. billions in new monies for foreign aid, but that' not the most important issue.

All text in red and all bold text is Maggie's emphasis.

Is Senator Obama's Global Poverty Act (Senate Bill 2433) tied to the United Nations, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) or the U.N.'s Millennium Development Goal (MDG) in anyway?

Yes. S.2433, the language of the Bill says: "A bill to REQUIRE the President to develop and IMPLEMENT," "the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal." Senator Obama's S.2433 cannot be separated from the U.N. Millennium Development Goal.

Who implements S.2433 after the President "creates" a plan?
The Secretary of State, Condoleesa Rice, her appointees with Congressional oversight by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Appropriations Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Appropriations Committee.

What do we know about the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)?
Follow the links and be prepared for sudden nausea.

The UN Corrupting Itself - A Chavez Connection

Does S.2433 require a specific strategy (some believe that it does not)?
The Bill says that we [the U.S.] will IMPLEMENT the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal? Can it be any clearer?

Does The Global Poverty Act subjugate the United States to the will of the United Nations?
Yes, and it does so through the United Nations' Millennium Development Goal. It is important to remember that the MDG is a U.N. program.

The following is the proof that the MDG is a "tax on the world" levied by the United Nations. The text addresses only the requirements to be placed upon the U.S. and other countries, it leaves out most of the goal of eradicating poverty and disease, and focuses on how that eradication will be accomplished. Text taken directly from the U.N. General Assembly Millennium Forum.
The Forum (urges, advocates, calls upon or insists): The United Nations

To introduce binding codes of conduct for transnational companies and effective tax regulation on the international financial markets, investing this money in programmes for poverty eradication.
Here's a tax on international finances! Who are transnational companies?
To explore the feasibility of a legally binding convention on overcoming poverty, to be drafted in effective consultation and partnership with people living in poverty themselves.
To carry out the objective of moving towards the abolition of war by practical means, the United Nations Secretariat and interested Governments, or a separate group of Governments, should develop a draft proposal for global disarmament to be discussed in a fourth special session of the General Assembly on disarmament.
Someone, I think Orwell, said War is evil, but it is often the lesser evil. The U.N. plans for globalism, with the U.N. at the head of the snake, to abolish war. They think they are God.
To respect national sovereignty and the prohibition of the use of force, which are fundamental in the Charter of the United Nations. This principle must not be undermined. In the solution of conflicts, all peaceful methods in accordance with Chapter 6 of the Charter must be tried before measures of force are undertaken in accordance with Chapter 7. The General Assembly should set up a broad commission to analyse standards for forceful action in cases where crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide are committed.
1) The U.N.'s "prohibition" of force is not to be undermined.
2) How does a global principle protect anyone's sovereignty?
3) "Peaceful method" means un-acted upon Resolutions - we have painful historical reminders. .
To expand the United Nations arms register in order to show the production and sale of small arms and light weapons. It should include specific names of their producers and traders.
Our Second Amendment rights monitored by the United Nations.
Together with nearly all Governments that participated in the recent Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference, Forum participants consider that unilateral deployment of nationwide missile defence by any country could have dangerously destabilizing effects and create pressures to permanently retain high levels of nuclear weapons or even to increase existing levels. The deployment of theatre missile defences in Asia or other regions could have serious regional destabilizing effects. Such plans should be relinquished in favour of a worldwide missile launch warning system and a conference to review methods of ending production of long-range surface-to-surface missiles and long-range bombers
To establish a commission at the United Nations to devise ways of stopping the technological development of new and more advanced weapons that create new imbalances in global power relationships. The Conference on Disarmament should also establish a working group on this subject.
The U.S. met their non-proliferation goals five years early, while the U.N. was enabling Iran to grow its nuclear program.

1) No long-range bombers for the U.S.
2) No surface-to-surface missiles for the U.S.
3) No missile defense for the U.S.
4) No new technological development
5) No more power to protect our nation

To initiate a worldwide freeze on armed forces and a 25 per cent cut in production and export of major weapons and small arms, and to that end to adopt an international code of conduct on arms exports, as the beginning of worldwide build-down of conventional forces.
That's a "worldwide freeze" on armed forces - on our Marines, our Army, our Navy, our Reserves, our Coast Guard! AND an international "code of conduct" to implement a "build-down" of conventional forces.
To increase their efforts to promote and to comply with international humanitarian laws, limiting the methods and means of war and protecting non-combatants, civilian populations and humanitarian personnel.
The international community civil society, Governments and the United Nations has a responsibility to stop promptly any genocide, war crimes or any massive violations of human rights. All those involved should seek to avoid any confusion between humanitarian help and military intervention.
Internationalism governs. Sovereignty is abolished. The United Nations Security Council reigns. Islam is implemented throughout the world.

Globalization needs defining....it is transforming our world into a global village...We, of all ages, in particular our future generation the youth claim a space for that transnational civil society that even now is rising on the world scene with unprecedented ties, networking, exchanges and common action among peoples, groups, communities and organizations.
The youth of the world will "claim a space" for "that transnational civil society" in the world's "global village..." Where might that "space" be? Do the people in that "space" have a say about the youth's claims? Again, for emphasis: a transnational civil society
To develop a legally binding framework for regulating the actions of transnational corporations (TNCs), respecting the international labour, human rights, and sustainable environmental standards set by the United Nations and its relevant specialized agencies. The regulatory mechanism should include the active participation of workers and communities directly affected by TNC operations in order to prevent abuses and to subordinate TNCs to democratic civil authority and community-based modelling of socio-economic systems.
As I look around the web, I find no list of the evil-doing transnational corporations. If the U.N. plans to "subordinate" the transnationals to "civil authority" and "community-based modelling," we need to know who the culprits are. Could Google be on the list? Nah. Halliburton? I think so. "Big Oil" - oh yeah, but only careful "subordination" here, because the world needs "Big Oil" tax money, as well as its investment in exploration and drilling. Oh...there's always "nationalizing" the world's oil fields. The Islamic countries know how to drill for oil. They rule the U.N. Very convenient - but this is only a guess.

To examine and regulate transnational corporations and the increasingly negative influence of their trade on the environment. The attempt by companies to patent life is ethically unacceptable.
What does this mean, and who is patenting the life of others?

To move towards democratic political control of the global economy so that it may serve our vision.
The vision: The U.N. controlling a global economy - to serve the U.N.'s vision

How is a democracy defined within the hallowed halls of the U.N.? You and I don't have a clue but we know such democracies will be "subordinated" to the U.N.'s "civil society"

To develop migration policies, both emigration and immigration, in conformity with human rights standards, particularly to respect the global principle of freedom of circulation for all.
This is terrifying, really. The goal is to remove the sovereignty of our borders. We need to get up each morning with the idea of the U.N.'s "global principle of freedom of circulation" vision, think about it again at noon, and let it be the last thing we think about before sleep, because surely we will offer up a prayer to the Almighty that our leaders will repel this disgusting organization.
To make serious commitments to restructure the global financial architecture based on principles of equity, transparency, accountability and democracy, and to balance, with the participation of civil society organizations, the monetary means to favour human endeavour and ecology, such as an alternative time-based currency.
Restructuring the global financial architecture? Alternative time-based currency?
Sustainable funds could be raised through a currency transfer tax,...which could also help to reduce currency speculation, and a tax on the rental value of land and natural resources.
Here's the tax on currency transfers and land. When has the MSM reported this. When has Barack Obama spoken of this?
Stop imposing economic sanctions, which deprive people of their basic economic, social and environmental rights and which make their struggle for survival, as well as for civil and political rights, more difficult.
We can make the case that sanctions are worthless, as it is the U.N. which strengthens them. Iraq and Saddam Hussein comes immediately to mind, especially the Oil-for-Food Program. Then and now, there's Iran. How does the U.N., always wanting diplomatic solutions to prevail, propose that we deal with tyranny ?
To fully incorporate women into leadership at every level and gender perspectives into all its operations; to hold Governments accountable for their obligations to promote and protect the human rights of women and girls; and to act as monitors of the implementation of commitments to end discrimination and violence against women and girls.
When it comes to Women's Rights, (or human rights for that matter) the worst offenders are Muslim countries. It's all is a matter of "degree," isn't it? I notice at the Millennium Development Goal monitoring sites, some Arab countries have shown some degree of improvement. What does that mean? How has it changed the life of women under the control of Islam and their Islamic male dominaters? The free world will finance achieving this goal? Think again.
To establish a global habitat conservation fund to purchase comprehensive protection of threatened, critical ecological habitat worldwide. The fund should accrue revenues from a nominal (0.5 -1.0 per cent) royalty on worldwide fossil energy production oil, natural gas, coal, collecting at least $5 billion to $10 billion annually.
Here's the tax on fossil fuels that is continually denied.

End of text from Millennium Forum.

A tax on fossil fuels, land, currencies, etc.? Investor's Business Daily didn't make it up, Lee Cary at American Thinker didn't make it up.

You can "monitor" the Millennium goals by country beginning here, although you won't learn much. Most of what we want and need to know falls into the "Insufficient Information" category.

I reject the U.N. and everything it stands for, because everything it stands for is against the best interests of Americans and freedom anywhere, and usually is intent on feathering the nests of a U.N. diplomat and a cozy relationship with the worst of the terrorizing scums on the face of the earth.

Why I Support John McCain

HT to Snooper at ANewtOne for this gem. Also cross posted at Do The Right Thing.

Commentary by Dennis Prager at World Net Daily, July 01, 2008

Last week, a conservative magazine reported that I would not vote for John McCain for president. The magazine based its claim on a column I had written in May 2007 about why I could not support John McCain for the Republican presidential nomination.
The magazine was wrong. Though I did not support Sen. McCain in the Republican primaries, the moment he became the presumptive Republican candidate I endorsed him wholeheartedly for president of the United States.

Having not been a supporter from the outset, perhaps my endorsement of John McCain will carry more weight among conservatives who are still undecided about whether to vote for John McCain.

My bottom line is this: The gulf between John McCain and conservatives is miniscule compared to the gulf between John McCain and Barack Obama.

This is true regarding virtually every issue of significance to America. The America that a President Barack Obama would shape, with the help of a Democratic Congress and a liberal Supreme Court, would be very dissimilar from the America shaped by a President John McCain.

Conservatives who will not vote for McCain are well-intentioned utopians. They are comparing McCain to a consistently conservative candidate. The reality, however, is that McCain is not running against a consistently conservative candidate. He is running against a consistently left-wing candidate. And America cannot afford to have its first leftist president ever. It can afford liberal presidents – such as Bill Clinton, or Jimmy Carter (who governed as a liberal but became a leftist after leaving the White House), or John F. Kennedy, or Lyndon Johnson, or Harry Truman – i.e., all the Democrats who have been president since World War II. But the Democratic Party has moved well to the left of liberalism. And Barack Obama is at the left of that left-wing party.

Furthermore, given the strong possibility of a Democratic House, a Democratic Senate and a liberal Supreme Court for decades to come, given the number of Supreme Court appointments a Democratic president will be able to make, an Obama victory will move America more radically leftward than ever in its history.

That is why the argument that an Obama administration will be so destructive that Americans will reject the left and then elect a real conservative to undo the damage done in an Obama presidency is deeply flawed.

First of all, other than impeachment, there is no way to undo Supreme Court appointments, two or three of which a President Obama would likely make. And given how active most liberal judges are, it won't matter much if the country has some conservative epiphany and then elects a Republican president and Congress. Because even if the Congress and the president will not pass liberal legislation, a liberal Supreme Court will. On almost any social issue that matters – the right to bear arms, late-term abortion, the definition of marriage, capital punishment and many others – a liberal Supreme Court will rule on these issues, and there will be nothing that a post-Obama Republican president, even with a Republican Congress, will be able to do about them.

Moreover, the argument that Americans will have a conservative epiphany after four years of an Obama presidency is predicated on America being greatly damaged by his policies. What kind of mindset welcomes such damage to the country it loves for the sake of potentially gaining politically after the damage is done? Is it, for example, really worth a considerably weakened economy (which Barack Obama's tax and other economic policies would likely lead to), with its widespread suffering and unforeseeable social and political consequences, just to – hopefully – get a conservative into the White House four or eight years later?

And the damage won't necessarily be undone. Even Ronald Reagan, the most popular conservative to ever serve as president, could not roll back most liberal creations. He never could get rid of the useless Department of Education, for example. Nor could a then-popular President George W. Bush do a thing about Social Security even when he had a Republican House and Senate.

And how will Barack Obama's successor undo the damage done to Iraq, the Middle East, the war on Islamic terror and the credibility of America's assurances to allies once Iraq slides into chaos as a result of America's precipitous withdrawal?

Therefore, as well-meaning and sincere as many conservatives are, this mode of thinking – let the country suffer under a left-wing president, Congress and Supreme Court and then it will come to its conservative senses – will likely lead to a downward spiral from which it is hard to see the country escaping for a generation, if it is lucky.

There is one person who can prevent this unhappy future – John McCain.

He will not raise taxes, the last thing we should be doing in a weakened economy.

He will reduce government spending, and thereby prevent the state from controlling even more of American life.

He will ensure that America wins in Iraq. That will make one of the biggest and richest Arab states the freest of the Arab states. And it will hand Islamic terrorists the biggest defeat they have ever suffered. It will teach potential enemies not to attack America (whether Iraq did so directly is irrelevant to the point). And it will reassure America's allies around the world, many of whom, as in Iraq, risk their lives for America and liberty, that America will never abandon them.

He will appoint conservatives to the Supreme Court and to federal benches, thereby depriving the left of its most powerful weapon in reshaping America in its image.

He may attract enough Hispanic votes (while securing the borders) to prevent that critical constituency from identifying with the Democratic Party, something that would ensure left-wing victories for decades to come.

He will develop nuclear power, environmentalist (read leftist) opposition to which has been morally indefensible. We would all love to have a solar-powered or wind-powered country.

However, on planet earth at this time, nuclear power may be the cleanest source of energy we have. That is why France, not heretofore known as politically conservative, relies on nuclear power for nearly 80 percent of its electricity.

However noble their intentions, conservatives who do not vote for John McCain will be morally complicit in what happens to America during an Obama presidency.

Introducing Vice Presidential Candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton...

(Cross Post from Highly Opinionated)

It's coming down to the wire. Obama has states, and Clinton has votes, I read on another analysis about the Democratic contest. Stacking the two candidates up side by side, what's the difference, really, when it comes down to it? They both want to socialize...everything. They both are liberals. They both have basically blown off their senate terms in the race for the White House. Neither of them gives a rat's ass about our troops mission in Iraq, and the damage that would be done if we pulled out our combat forces and left non-combat forces behind. They're both willing to surrender to terrorists by cutting and running. They're both clueless on how to handle the economy. They're both desirous to raise taxes on the American people. And despite claims to the contrary, they're both are really, technically, within range of picking up enough delegates to put either one over the top to be the nominee. Obama is ahead in number of delegates, but Team Clinton has pulled rabbits out of their as...errrr...hats, before.

But realistically, it does look like Obama is going to be the front runner to come out of the nominating process and head into the general election come November to face McCain. Barring, that is, something untoward happening to Obama in June, as Clinton inferred the other day, causing such an uproar, referencing the assassination of Bobby Kennedy in 68. Perhaps she knows Sirhan Sirhan's relatives?

I digress.

Many pundits have referred to an Obama/Clinton ticket as a way to bridge the gap that has been created in the Democratic party this election cycle. Bridging the gap, mending the rift, sewing up the split crotch in the straddle of the pants, whatever analogy you wish to use. Screaming Howard Dean and the other heads of the DNC would love nothing more than for this whole thing to be over and done with so that they can get back to the business at hand for the Democratic Party.

Robbing the American public blind.

Um, I mean, doing the people.

Doing the people's business. That's it, doing the people's business. Doing business to the American People. Or ON the American people. OH WAIT, doing business FOR the American people.

Ok, now we're back on track and are phrasing things correctly in order to mislead people more than we had intended (to paraphrase the late Peter Jennings).

Since there is basically no difference between Obama and Clinton other than that she's a woman and he's a man, and of course that skin issue (referring to thickness, and his lack of it, I'll leave the race issue to the Democrats), why not put the two of them together on the ticket as a team, him for President since he's in the lead, her for VP since she's, well, not in the lead...

Let's look at the pro's list for teaming the two of them up in this capacity, shall we? You'd have a Presidential candidate who's running mate would be totally and completely on board with turning the United States into a socialist regime, you'd have a Presidential candidate and running mate who would be totally and completely on board. They both seem to have a bit of trouble differentiating between fact and fiction, they both have controversial spouses, they are both lawyers (back to that trouble differentiating between fact and fiction again), neither has any executive experience, and both will be willing to hand us over, lock, stock, and barrel, to the United Nations.

Isn't that a fabulous dream ticket? If this was some sort of Science Fiction movie, one could argue that really, Obama and Hillary are the same person. That would work out well for Bill, come to think of it, because then he'd have access to Michelle...hmmmmmmmmmm. Okay, let's not go there, shall we? The thought of Clinton and his willy...anyway. Policy wise Obama and Clinton are virtually indistinguishable.

Let's leave it there.

Then there is the popularity issue. He has roughly half the Democrats sewn up and on his side, so does she. Put the two of them together, and you have almost the entire Democratic party all sewn up and in one giant happy bed together. A veritable orgy of liberal-socialist policy and program planning for the next four years. And since the Democrats are the party who are so very much in favor of gay marriages, civil unions, free love, and all that, yes, I do think that orgy is an appropriate term for the Obama/Clinton years to come.

Why is that? Think about it, very, very carefully. At every orgy, someone is going to get fucked.

Grab your vaseline, America, and get ready. If either or both of these two win in November, you can guess who's gonna get fucked for the next four years...

Just an observation.

Once and Always, an American Fighting Man

You BET I'm Prejudiced--ESPECIALLY Against the Cult of Barack Hussein Obama!

Lately, I've been called a lot of things--racist, war monger, hater--you know the routine. I've also been consigned to hell and asked if I'm so angry because I've never had a boyfriend (which is hilarious considering I have three children and four grandchildren). But then, what do expect from brain dead lefties and moonbats who can't formulate coherent thoughts?

What could possibly cause this kind of teenage angst?

I have dared to criticize Barack Hussein Obama. I have dared to ask for clarification on several issues, not least of which is his allegiance to this country and its citizens, particularly in light of his disgraceful and disrespectful conduct regarding our most beloved symbol, our flag.

I have asked for clarification on his position on islam, particularly in light of the fact he was born muslim. For those who don't know, islam is a once in, never out religion. Because his abusive mother chose to conceive him by a muslim, he is muslim. That is the tenet stated in the koran. He had no choice in it; he has no choice now. He is muslim. He can proclaim he's Christian all he wants (which by the way marks him as apostate/infidel in islam and is now a marked man)--yet he belongs to a black supremacist Church currently under IRS investigation for mixing politics and religion. It is a completely afro-centric church which gives its allegiance to Africa first. It honors such muslims as Louis Farrakhan. It is not all inclusive of those who wish to join--you have to be black and be centered on Africa first. It's as Christian a "church" as the Westboro Baptist Church--just the black version. Goes back to his allegiance to America. And, he can still pray the muslim prayers and thinks they're beautiful. Here's a blurb from the 2007 interview with Nicholas Kristof (hat tip Stop the ACLU!):
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”
Here's what the call to prayer means:
“Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Hasten to the Prayer, hasten to the Prayer. Hasten to real success, hasten to real success. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is none worthy of worship but Allah.”
Interestingly, there is an accompanying picture of Barack Hussein Obama with his Kenyan grandmother Sarah Hussein Obama at that link as well. What's so interesting is the picture is labeled as being Madelyn Dunham--his WHITE grandmother.

I have questioned his position regarding American sovereignty. This is in light of his co-sponsorship of HR 1302 and HR 3605, in which he pushes for globalisation to further weaken America.

I have dared to question his ongoing relationship with two people of the Weather Underground, William Ayers and Bernardine Dorhn. Barack Hussein Obama--as an attorney--is an officer of the court and he is friends with known criminals. The only reason these bombers (proud, unrepentant, no-remorse bombers at that) aren't in prison is there was a legal, FBI technicality. The fact Ayers and Dorhn are now university professors does not excuse the fact they are domestic terrorists, admittedly so, and Barack Hussein Obama has long-standing ties with them.

I question his childish idea of foreign policy. Any person with any portion of a brain knows al Qaida is in Iraq and has been since at least 1993. It has been shown through several sources, but of course most prominently through documents obtained in Tikrit and translated appropriately. Yet not only does this person seem to think al Qaida ISN'T in Iraq, he further believes deploying troops in and out at his whim is much like packing for a picnic and not the logistical nightmare it is. Further, he thinks John McCain invaded Iraq. If the "original OIF was wrong" according to him, why would a return trip to theater be right later? Other than this ridiculous idea of foreign policy (and let's not forget he wants to bomb allies), what is his stance on terrorism and the islam horde proclaiming a worldwide caliphate at all costs?

Hillary would answer the red phone, McCain would actually act on the urgency--Barack Hussein Obama would probably let the machine get it, roll over and go back to sleep.

He wants to talk to despots and tyrants. He thinks they're all into his huggy, touchy feeling idea of diplomacy. They are not. Ahmadinejad hangs gays. Fidel Castro populated a good chunk of south Florida with his policies. Vladimir Putin will eat Barack Hussein Obama for lunch--and smile picking his teeth with the leftover bones. He hasn't bothered to keep up to date on what's going on with NATO because he's been too busy running his campaign (during his one year term as chairman on the European Affairs subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee). Yet he castigates NATO when he has no idea of the current issues.

I'm prejudiced against those who hate our military and have decided they know more about how to fight a war than those actually in theater. Those who side with MoveOn.org in treasonous ads such as the Betrayus ad (and Barack Hussein Obama did side with that ad).

He believes in taking all your money to give it to those who refuse to get off their lazy asses and get a job. In actuality, welfare needs to reform and tighten itself up, forcing the generational entitlement attitude into the realms of antiquity.

I get irritated when people try to take my guns away--the better to control the populace--in violation of my Second Amendment right. Such people, stripped of their rights to arms and using those arms as need be, are called slaves--to the government whim.

I become incensed when he wants to take my money and give it to illegals. I get incensed when he states he won't do anything to secure our borders (goes back to the sovereignty issue). I want the mandated fence built and if the government won't do it, it will be up to the citizens to do so.

I become completely enraged at someone who won't protect the rights of the unborn. Freedom of choice my ass, I'm sure the millions of aborted children would choose to live. Particularly those just days from being born, who are completely viable--yet he sees no problem with stabbing them at the base of the skull, widening the wound and sucking their brains out. It's called partial birth abortion and he's all for it. He LIKES killing babies in the name of choice--never mind he's allowing the destruction of yet another generation. And does he plan on using MY money to continue funding Planned Parenthood and other organizations of its ilk? Wonder what his stand on euthanasia is and how will he feel when his daughters feel he and his wife are too old to be productive and need to be put down?

So overall, yeah, I am prejudiced. Damned prejudiced at this fallacious empty suit who thinks he has enough experience to run this country when he doesn't have a clue, when he wants to sell the country down the river, who has a wife who speaks "Orwell" speak and has never been proud of the country she wants to co-rule over like Trailer Trash Hillary (and more of a racist than Barack Hussein Obama, just not as good at hiding it). And someone who didn't keep their word and at least complete one term as a senator.

He has voted "present" more than he's voted yeah or nay--what the hell kind of record is that? Honorable? No. Chickenshit and indecisive, ball-less, yellow bellied and brainless. I am prejudiced against black supremacists who pull the racist card at the drop of a hat and declare parts of their lives off limits while attacking anyone and everyone who dares disagree with him.

How about all the times he's actually voted but then said he pushed the "wrong" button--if he's pushing the "wrong" button in session, who's to say he'll be capable of pushing the "right" button when necessary? He and I were born the same year and I know I'm already in bi-focals--maybe he needs his eyes checked to make sure he's pushing the "right" button in his senatorial votes? After all, we know HE'S got the best health care, right?

I'm prejudiced against someone who speaks well and thinks he's the messiah (watch his body language), someone who has fashioned himself as a cult leader and revels in the description. And I'm prejudiced against his camp whores and cult followers who don't have the brains or balls to do any serious questioning of him themselves, castigating those of us who do see through the smoke and mirrors. Guess they're too worried about losing their "hoped for changes" in their gu'mnt handouts. Hitler, Castro, Mao, Stalin, Kruschev--they were all gifted speakers as well. The world is still recovering from their "charisma" and "soaring oratory".

After all, freebies at the taxpayer expense is what he's promising. Who do you think is going to pay for his largesse? How about all the pork? Only one place to get it and that's taxpayers, people. You and me. Well--you if you're working. I know I'm working. But then if you're not a taxpayer, you're the one benefitting from my work, aren't you?

Barack Hussein Obama is a racist of the worst kind--and so is his wife. They hide behind they're pretty rhetoric and don't have the courage to answer questions. They don't have the guts to answer honestly when caught in their lies or their missteps, verbal and otherwise (REZKO anyone?). They are not in the least bit trustworthy. They hate America and all it stands for. Where is their condemnation of Code Pink and the Berkley issue if they're so patriotic? Don't they have the guts to do something different, to separate themselves from the pack of moonbats, and condemn those who protest the very people who fight for them? No, they don't--they side with Code Pink (the SAME Code Pink by the way who called for MARINE help while they were protesting the Marines!).

I'm prejudiced against racists, socialists, communists, those who undermine our country, those who want to deviate completely from our constitution and bill of rights. I'm prejudiced against idiots who can't read, who bury their heads in the sand, who can't address a post, who have no concept of asking a substantive question and who are just plain stupid and aren't afraid to let their rampant stupidity show.

Damn right I'm prejudiced. And feel free to send this post to Barack Hussein Obama (since others have been sent to him). I do still have a First Amendment right to free speech--at least until the socialists try to get the Fairness Doctrine enacted again to shut up their critics.

Be It Resolved...Or Not...You Decide

~Snooper~

Here is a map that depicts what happens when there is a True Conservative running for the Presidency of The United States. John McCain needs to know that we Reagan Era Conservatives will be watching him like a Hawk. I have read and re-read his speech at CPAC. I have watched and re-watched the video of the speech many times. His body language revealed a tenseness yet a relaxed demeanor. He knows that we are not pleased with him and he also knows that we will pounce and trounce as the need arises. He may get in for 4 years but if he intends to be in the White House for an additional 4 years, he KNOWS he will have to pass muster. Having said this, we at A Newt One say to the purists:

We used to be one of those - a purist. We strongly desire to have an economic conservative, a social conservative and a National Security conservative. At the moment, we don't have any of those that have stepped forward, at least not one that didn't scare the hell out of the media and the anti-American socialists in the Dishonorable Halls of Congress, thus, not getting the "fair and balanced" media coverage.

Historically, we have only seen one of those ascend to the Presidency and that was Ronald Reagan. At this juncture, I call that a fluke - at least until another dares to emerge. Ronald Reagan did not just one day appear and there we were with conservatism at the top. It took time. By the same token, the socialists that have risen to power while a good portion of the conservatives sat on their asses and let them grow, rose to the fore over a long period of time...incremental creeping socialist fascism is on the brink of full blown control of this country and we cannot allow that to happen. PERIOD.

If John McCain becomes the next President, we may or may not get a fence across the southern border. You can be sure that if Hillary or Obama are President, we won't ever get that fence and that is a fact.

If John McCain becomes the next President, the Bush tax cuts may or may not become permanent. He says that they will. This remains to be seen. However, if Hillary or Obama get in, kiss the tax cuts good buy and stand by for the largest tax increases in history.

If John McCain becomes the next President, we may or may not get a conservative or a constitutional Supreme Court Judge named. Take a guess what we will get under Hillary or Obama.

If John McCain becomes the next President, we may or may not get the Fairness Doctrine crammed down our throats. If Hillary or Obama gets in? Bank on it.

Pragmatically and realistically, we must, now, begin the long process of waking up, getting involved in the local and state levels and rebuild that which we allowed the socialists to destroy via political correctness, multiculturalism and identity politics. It is going to take time. Let this be the warning shot across our bows, people. Make no mistake - Sen John McCain is indeed no Reagan Era Conservative but he is most assuredly a far cry better than Hillary "The Rodham" Clinton or Barak Hussein Obama will be. I am tired of the "settle-for" President also and GWB was our "settle-for" in opposition to Al Gore of John Kerry. Correct? Yes. That is correct. Repeat after me..."Yes. That is correct. GWB was a far better choice than Gore or Kerry."

Now that it is settled, we can begin the long climb back to rebuild the Conservative Tsunami. We did it once and we can do it again. We cannot fall back asleep at the wheel...again - like we did during the "other" Bush and 8 years of that idiot Clinton.

We take this war, one trench; one hill; one battle at a time. The first trench to forge is the repulsion of voting for McCain. The next few trenches to forge and the next few hills to take will be to replace socialist democrats and republicans in the Lower House. This means YOU must get involved on the local levels of your communities and the state levels. There are quite a few seats up for grabs in the Lower House this time around.

If you are in New York's 19th District, you need to get behind Kieran Michael Lalor.

If you are in New York's 1st District, you need to get behind Lee Zeldin.

If you are in Indiana's 7th District, you need to get behind Wayne E Harmon.

If you are in Florida's 22nd District, you need to get behind Allen West.

If you are in North Carolina's 7th District, you need to get behind Will Breazeale.

If you are in California's 4th District, you need to get behind Eric Egland.

If you are in California's 52nd District, you need to get behind the other Duncan Hunter.

If you are in Ohio's 18th District, you need to get behind Paul Phillips.

If you are in Ohio's 5th District, you need to get behind Scott Radcliffe.

If you are in Pennsylvania's 22nd District, you need to get behind William Russell.

If you are in Idaho's 1st District, you need to get behind Matt Salisbury.

If you are in Maine's 1st District, you need to get behind Charlie Summers.

All of the men above are conservative Republicans and are also Iraq War Veterans. They are running against defeatist and socialist republicans and democrats. There are many more seats up for grabs so do your homework in your states and let's get moving people.

Move Out And Draw Fire!

The other night on American Truth Warriors, Sonlit had an epiphany and I have taken liberty to take that which he said on the program and expound upon his statements.

Bank on it.

Hillary will garnish your wages to force you to participate in mandatory government funded health care and John McCain says that is crazy and he won't do it.

If John McCain becomes the next President and he can unite the conservatives, we have a shot at regaining that which was lost in the Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush years. If John McCain becomes the next President, we have a shot at taking the House back THIS cycle and further the conservative cause in the next two cycles and quite possible a shot at fixing the Senate.

If John McCain becomes the next President and he chooses a conservative running mate and that running mate lives up to the conservative movement's causes, we have a shot at reigning in the Conservative Movement for several generations.

With Hillary in the White House; with Obama in the White House; their running mates will be more left than they are and you might as well burn the Constitution of the United States, head to the hills and hunker down because the Islamotards will run amok within our own borders. Why? Because they are already here...pay attention.

CAIR and CAIR backers, namely, Hamas and Hizbollah proponents are routing for Hillary and Obama and they have openly stated that Sha'ria Law WILL BE the Law of the Land in the USA by 2050. Do you want that?

If so, stay at home with your pansy-ass whining self and don't vote. Just don't expect me or other Warriors to come to your rescue. We will be too busy for you.

If John McCain becomes the next President, he will NOT pull the troops out of Iraq or Afghanistan until the job is done. Hillary and Obama have both said that they will do just that. Will you be able to sleep with yourself knowing that our troops fought in vain because YOU stayed home? Do you want to see the Middle East collapse into the bloodiest civil war ever in the history of this planet?

The Killing Fields will be but a decimal point in a sentence in comparison.

If Hillary or Obama bring the troops home an pretend that they care, Al Qaida will unite with Iran and they will take Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and then they will destroy Israel. At that point, the stage will be set to take Europe and attack the USA with impunity and believe me, they will have WMDs.

In recent days, the fools that wrote the NIE that stated that Iran wasn't a threat have recanted and said that they were wrong. So, go ahead and stay at home and don't vote with all of that at stake.

Damn sissy coward whiners.

Grow up and get over yourselves.

We need to unite behind McCain, destroy any aspirations that the 2-year wonder Obama may have and destroy the blight on this nation and end the Clinton Boil on the ass of this great Nation and end it permanently.

Thanks for listening.

VOTING FOR McCAIN - THE BOTTOM LINE

THIS IS AN EASY DECISION, FOLKS

Petitions Huckabee and Limbaugh and disconnected conservatives are not going to change who the Republican nominee is

Jimmy Z - As I was answering Ben in the comments section, I determined that I had a piece here on its own so I’ve posted it separately. In it, I outline clearly and finally why conservatives really do need to ‘calm down.’

A NO vote on McCain is an affirmative to either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, period, end of sentence. This is totally and completely unacceptable.

When you sit out the vote, you get the alternative. I know a lot of you consider Rush Limbaugh to be almost a cartoon version of a political pundit. However, he really is right most of the time, and today he played an amazing tape from his own show.

In 2006, Rush Limbaugh predicted that if the conservatives sat out the election and allowed the democrat take-over of both houses of Congress, John McCain would end up being our party’s nominee for President in 2008. Now we know he was right.

Folks, listen to me and listen good: This ‘sitting out the election’ crap is the one sure way to send this country all the way deep into socialism. If you want to see liberals take over your life in every facet, sit this one out. If you want to find more of your money taken from you in higher taxes and paid to sponges like illegal aliens flooding our land, sit out the election. If you want to stand in line for an MRI, sit it out. If you want to see everyone driving the flimsy little cars liberals want for you, sit out your opportunity to vote.

I'm the original 'bottom line' guy. When it comes down to a choice, and you have no other options, you have to weigh one against the other and pick the best you can. Let’s say you have no toothpaste at home, and you like Crest. You're in the store and it's closing time, and they're out of Crest. They have Colgate and they have Aquafresh. You have to brush your teeth. You pick one and you go to pay for it.

I acknowledge that the choice for President is not as unimportant as choosing a brand of toothpaste, but making the choice really is going to be this simple. Assume for a moment that Hillary does what is expected and wins the democrat nomination.

Now you have a choice: John McCain; imperfect, but appearing genuinely willing to work with steadfast conservatives, or Hillary Clinton.

You’re going to sit this one out? Really?

Ann Coulter says that Hillary Clinton is more conservative than John McCain. Come on! Do any of you really believe this? I love Ann, but I think she’s flipped out completely on this topic.

Conservatives stayed home and gave democrats control of Congress in 2006. It is indisputable that we gave them the House and the Senate; democrats did not win them. I fail to understand the mentality that wants to sit at home and not vote against the liberal democrat!

In my mind and my Reagan-conservative soul, the choice is not even close! Sit at home, or vote for John McCain over Hillary Clinton? People, you truly need to calm the hell down and think this through. McCain is not a liberal democrat. We can’t be as ridiculously short sighted as the democrats were when they jettisoned faithful democrats Zell Miller or Joe Leiberman.

The time has come to rally behind our candidate. We do not have time anymore to listen to the hyperbolic ranting of those of you who want a perfect and pure conservative. Honestly my friends, do you think one really exists?

I encourage you all to let go of stubborn insistence. It is going to come down to McCain vs. Hillary Clinton, and your choice is not between sitting at home and voting for McCain. Your choice is simply whether to vote for McCain or Hillary Clinton.

And if the democrats nominate Barack Obama? Take everything I wrote and multiply it times ten. I’ll see you at your neighborhood poling place.

And that’s the bottom line.
