“Fight for Victory Tour” Pro-Troop Caravan

Launches Monday, September 3, 2007

Supporters of Operation Iraqi Freedom will conduct a nationwide caravan that will include 27 pro-troop rallies across America calling for continued support of U.S. troops based in Iraq. The “Fight for Victory Tour” will take place at a critical time, in the days leading up to General David Petraeus’ September 15th report to Congress on the progress of “the surge” of U.S. troops in Iraq.

The historic caravan will launch from Carson City, Nevada with a pro-troop rally at Mills Park on Monday, September 3rd at 9:00 AM.

The giant pro-troop push is part of an effort by the nation’s largest grassroots, pro-troop organization, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) which will lead thousands of supporters in a cross-country effort called the “FIGHT FOR VICTORY TOUR.” We are also asking the public to bring cards & letters that express appreciation and well-wishes for our troops who were injured in the war effort. We will be collecting these at the rally and bringing them to our wounded warriors at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C.


Leading the pro-troop caravan will be a mother whose son was the first Navy Seal to die while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Debbie Lee, and Deborah Johns, a mother whose son, U.S Marine William Johns, has served three tours of duty in Iraq,.

"If we precipitously withdraw from Iraq, we'll be inviting our enemies to bring the fight to America again. We will have emboldened an enemy that seeks to destroy us and our way of life,” said Lt. Colonel Buzz Patterson (USAF, Ret.) who serves as Vice Chairman of Move America Forward. Colonel Patterson was the top military aide to President Bill Clinton, carrying the famed “nuclear football.”

“Failure in Iraq cannot be an option on the table. Move America Forward is pledging to rally pro-troop Americans to stand up and declare that we will not prove Osama bin Laden right when he said that America is a 'paper tiger.’ We’re going to persevere in the fight and win this war and welcome our troops home victorious, ” Colonel Patterson concluded.

Democratic Organization, 527 Group Agrees to Pay $775,000 for Violating Campaign Finance Laws

Surprise, surprise.. the group has ties to the Clinton's and to George Soros.

Hillary isn't having a good couple of days now is she, right on the heels of the latest controversy, found here, we now have the 527 Group, America Coming Together, financed by George Soros and labor organizations that sunk more than $100 million into campaign activities intended to help Democrats in the 2004 elections.

The group, whose president was former top Clinton aide Harold Ickes, agreed to pay the penalty without acknowledging any violations. It had registered as both a 527 organization, named after a portion of the I.R.S. tax code, and as a federal political action committee. But through its 527, it had raised and spent large amounts of money that did not fall under strict federal donation limits.

Critics of 527 groups have contended that they proliferated in the last cycle through a loophole around the ban on soft money — unregulated money — that was imposed under the McCain-Feingold campaign finance laws. Democrats used 527’s to a wide advantage in the 2004 election cycle, with contributions from the likes of billionaire George Soros. Republicans also used them, with major donors like Bob Perry of Texas.

In recent months, the Federal Election Commission has begun a crackdown on these groups, especially if their activities in using unregulated, or soft money were specifically geared toward the election or defeat of specific candidates. In earlier actions, an arm of Progress for America agreed to pay a sizable penalty of $750,000 for operating outside the rules in the 2004 election, and agreements were reached with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and a now-defunct arm of MoveOn.org.

We see from The Trail that this is the FEC's third largest penalty in it's three decade history.

The complaint against ACT was brought by Democracy 21, a non partisan campaign finance reform group. In a statement yesterday, the group's president, Fred Wertheimer welcomed the decision, but suggested that the fine was too little too late -- not nearly large enough to deter independent groups from engaging in "huge illegal expenditures ... in the 2008 presidential and congressional elections for the third federal election in a row."

"The amount of the penalty imposed against ACT in this case represents only a tiny fraction of the nearly $100 million that the FEC found ACT illegally spent to influence the 2004 election," Wertheimer's statement said.

A little bit about George Soros:

The December 1, 2003, USA Today quoted Soros's worth at "about $7 billion," of which Soros had pledged "$15.5 million to anti-Bush, anti-conservative groups ... giving $10 million to Americans Coming Together, $2.5 million to MoveOn.org, and $3 million to the Center for American Progress."

One has to wonder about those other organizations Soros has contributed to.

Illegal Immigration Crackdown Nails 160 In a Raid at Koch Foods

Koch Foods in Fairfield, Ohio, was raided by about 300 agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Fairfield police and Butler County Sheriff's deputies, they surrounded the building just after 9am and by 11:45am, 160 people out of 180 that were questioned were handcuffed and arrested.

Butler County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Monte Mayer said hundreds of federal agents, sheriff's deputies and other local law-enforcement officers joined forces in a raid at Koch Foods in Fairfield, Ohio, in what he called "the latest crackdown on illegal aliens and the businesses who employ them."

As of early afternoon, Sgt. Mayer said more than 160 people had been arrested on immigration violations.

Immigration spokesman Richard Rocha said the operation was the end result of a two-year investigation.

"I've been saying for 2½ years we're coming," said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones during a news conference Tuesday afternoon. "Don't have illegals. Don't violate the law. I personally have no sympathy for you whatsoever."

Cracking down on employers is one of the most important aspects of controlling the border because those employers and one of the major reasons people cross the border illegally.

ICE executes federal criminal search warrants at Koch Foods and arrests more than 160 on immigration charges
Simultaneous criminal search warrant executed at Koch corporate office in Chicago, IL

CINCINNATI - Special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today executed criminal search warrants at Koch Foods in Fairfield, Ohio. ICE identified more than 180 Koch employees working at the Fairfield plant requiring further questioning and administratively arrested more than 160 as of 4PM for immigration violations. ICE agents simultaneously executed criminal search warrants at Koch's corporate office in Chicago.

The enforcement actions are part of a two-year, ongoing ICE investigation based on evidence that Koch Foods may have been knowingly hired illegal aliens at its poultry processing and packaging facility.

"Unlawful employment is one of the key magnets drawing illegal aliens across our borders," said Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for ICE. "When illegal aliens use fraudulent documents or engage in identity theft, they not only exploit a vulnerability, they also cause real harm to U.S. citizens. We will pursue egregious violators by seeking criminal charges and continue to deploy tools such as the new social security no match guidelines to help businesses comply with the law."

Today's enforcement action was coordinated with ICE's federal, state and local counterparts including, the Southern District of Ohio's U.S. Attorney's Office; the USDA Office of the Inspector General; Health and Human Service's Department of Immigration Health Services; the Ohio Department of Public Safety; the Butler County Sheriff's Office; the Butler County District Attorney's Office; and Butler County Children's Services.

At the Fairfield plant, illegal aliens have been interviewed by ICE and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Division of Immigration Health Services (HHS/DIHS) to record any medical concerns, sole-caregiver issues or other humanitarian concerns. Based on this information, ICE makes decisions regarding whether or not an illegal alien should be released for humanitarian reasons. If released, the illegal alien is issued a notice to appear in front of an immigration judge at a later date.

Aliens who are being detained will be transported to an ICE processing facility located in the Cincinnati area and placed in removal proceedings. Aliens will be detained while awaiting removal proceedings.

A 24-hour toll-free detainee locator hotline is available exclusively for family members of those arrested in today's operation to field questions about detention status and the removal process. The hotline operates in English and Spanish; the phone number is 866-341-3858.

Back on July 5th we showed you that Arizona has also been cracking down on employers that were employing illegal immigrant.

This is one one aspect of what we need to do to enforce the laws on the books and take care of the illegal immigration problem we face today in the U.S.

Hot Air points to yet another instance where an illegal alien, drunk, killed an off duty police officer and then instead of attempting to hep the officer, he tried to run away,

According to BizJournals, Koch Foods are now cooperating, but if they had been warned for 2 years and it has taken a 300 man raid on their facility to get them to cooperate, how many reading this really think their cooperation will be full?

As part of our standard employment process, we require employees to provide documentation in accordance with the law, and we have implemented a program to audit this documentation. Additionally, we are in the process of implementing a company-wide program through the Department of Homeland Security verification system to ensure that all of our workers are fully documented and eligible to work.

Koch Foods is committed to complying with all immigration laws, and we look forward to resolving this matter quickly.

In the meantime, we are continuing normal business operations at the Park Ridge facility, and will resume operations this evening in Fairfield. We remain focused on quality and service as we continue to supply fresh and frozen poultry products for food service and retail operators across the country and around the world.

Dear friends,

This email REALLY got my attention. I checked it with Snopes.com and they can't say for sure if its true or false BUT they do have a lot to say about it.

I'm posting this at the risk of being labeled a fear monger; but I feel responsible to get this word out. Maybe some authoritative source can inform us better as to what, if anything, can be (or is being) done.

Israeli Counterterrorism expert, Juval Aviv, met recently with reporters at Fox News and revealed information, which he believes is accurate, concerning an imminent Al Qaeda attack on five to seven American cities simultaneously.

"I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most," said Mr. Aviv.

Mr. Aviv knows of that which he speaks. He is a former Israeli Counterterrorism Intelligence Officer and has also served as a special consultant to the U.S. Congress on issues of terrorism and security. He is best known as the source of the 1984 book, Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by George Jonas, on which Steven Spielberg's film Munich was based. He is also the author of The Complete Terrorism Survival Guide: How to Travel, Work and Live in Safety (2003); and Staying Safe: The Complete Guide to Protecting Yourself, Your Family, and Your Business (2004). Currently, Aviv is the president of Interfor, Inc., a corporate investigations firm in New York City.

Considering Aviv's background and experience in global terror and its operating methods, it would be foolish to ignore or minimize this veteran's expert prognosis. Mr. Aviv told Fox that, from what his sources have been relating, sleeper cells already positioned inside the continental United States are on the verge of carrying out major attacks.

"What they're going to do," he explained, "is hit six, seven or eight cities simultaneously to show sophistication and really hit the public. This time, which is the message of the day, it will not only be big cities. They're going to try to hit rural America. They want to send a message to rural America: "You're not protected. If you figured out that if you just move out of New York and move to Montana or to Pittsburgh, you're not immune. We're going [to] get you wherever we can and it's easier there than in New York."

While this prediction leaves most Americans feeling helpless, fearful and frustrated, Aviv recommends that we at least do what we can. He suggests that for the next few months, if you are traveling by public transportation, equip yourselves with a bottle of water, a hand towel and a flashlight. He reminds us that many fatalities in the London tube and Madrid train attacks occurred from victims who breathed in the lethal fumes from bomb components and burning gasoline. Had these people had wet towels to cover their mouths and noses, they would have had a much better chance of survival.

In particular Aviv very strongly urges a policy of "If you See Something - Say Something". He reminds Americans that a great number of potentially lethal terror attacks in Israel have been - and still are - thwarted by the intelligent actions on the part of alert, aware and watchful citizens. Americans must do the same, he advises. The global war on terror is not "somewhere over there in the Middle East." It is here on our own soil. If ever there were a time to be especially vigilant, the time is now.

Let us hope and pray that these vicious enemies and their depraved plans will be prevented, and the perpetrators apprehended. US law enforcement, military, counter-terrorism and intelligence personnel have thus far done an outstanding job. Keep in mind, however, that the stakes are very uneven. Law enforcement and counter-terrorism agents must succeed 100% of the time in order to protect a population. Terrorists only have to succeed once to snuff out thousands of lives.

THEREFORE, please do not naively dismiss this article. Stay alert - stay away from crowds - and if you see something, say something! You could the one to save hundreds, if not thousands, of lives.

The prudent man prepares for eventualties. The fool laughs it off until something happens and finds himself completely unprepared.
