Resist Alien Amnesty

Grassfire

Grassfire.org reports that President Obama intends to begin the big push for illegal alien amnesty June 8. Grassfire is mounting a petition campaign to spur and express public outrage at President Obama's shameful treachery.

Of course, Grassfire is building a contact list and soliciting donations in connection with the petition, that is par for the course. But they do provide a free and easy way to communicate our disgust with the Congress when they deliver the petitions.

Numbers USA

Another organization, Numbers USA, has a very informative web site that provides most of the intellectual ammunition needed to fight "comprehensive immigration reform:. Numbers USA has frequent phone & fax campaigns we can participate in and the faxes are free.

Congress.org

When you are ready to contact your Representative & Senators, you can easily send them an email even if you don't know their names. Congress.org, given your zip code, will look them up for you and set up an easy to use email form.

It is our country, our jobs, our schools and our health care system at stake. President Obama wants to convert the illegal aliens into citizens in hopes that Hispanics will become a permanent Democrat voting block. We must rise up as one, united, with a loud voice yelling "Hell NO"!!! If you want the fence completed, the borders patrolled, existing immigration laws & rules enforced and amnesty schemes abandoned permanently, then start your faxes and emails flowing to Congress and the White House and keep them flowing. Join the growing chorus of demands for rational, common sense government. The country you save will be our own.

Obamination: Stoodge Prepares for Visit to Cairo

The BBC, in an article entitled: "Why Obama's Cairo speech matters", circumlocutes the critical issues, concentrating instead on American attitudes. I was expecting a potentially revealing quote from an interview with President Obama, as hinted at in an ABC radio news broadcast.

A second article, linked in the right sidebar of the first, promises more: " Obama to address Muslims in Egypt". Unfortunately that article also fails to deliver. Evidently the writers are paid by the word, with little consideration for content.

A visit to the White House web site revealed the White House set up for the big speech.Denis McDonough, Deputy National Security Advisor for strategic Communications, had this to say.

So the message the President wants to send is not different, frankly, than the one he's been sending since he was inaugurated, namely that we believe that this is an opportunity for us in the United States, who, frankly, have arrived at a place here based on many of the advances that come out of the Muslim world, be it science out of Baghdad, be it math and technology out of Al-Andalus or otherwise. The fact is that we've had a great partnership over the course of many decades. We want to get back on a shared partnership, back in a conversation that focuses on the shared values, and that's what the President will talk about in Cairo.

advances that come out of the Muslim world

  • science
  • mathematics
Of course the advisory neglects to mention the fact that Arabs translated Greek texts, which is where the scientific knowledge came from. The real developments of which Islam boasts were the work of subjugated Kuffar, they were not developed because of Islam, but inspite of it.

shared partnership

Of course the advisory ignores the fatal fact that Allah expressly forbids partnerrship with Kuffar.
  • 3:118. O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitânah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.

shared values

Why doesn't the advisory list those shared values? Only because there ain't any! Islam does not share our values! Islam values conquest and death in the pursuit thereof. It does not value life & liberty.

I expect that on Thursday, President Obama will stand and deliver the usual pack of lies in which he will rhetorically separate Jihad from Islam, praise Islam, blame America and sell Israel down the creek by promoting the suicidal "two state solution".

Tell President Obama about Israel's History

An email from A.J. Whitehead of Anti-Cair brought news of a campaign by the Unity Coalition for Israel to restrain President Obama from excessive pandering to Islam on his visit to Egypt. They are sending letters to President Obama, "with copies to the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, the President`s Cabinet, and to select Members of Congress and the Knesset". It is a form letter, but you can edit the introduction to personalize it. I added links to three of my blog posts. Please click this link to the letter fill in the form and send it today.

The letter cites some important history and quotes, in its entirety, a unanimous House Resolution in support of the restoration of Israel passed June 30, 1922.

The House stood up for Israel 87 years ago, taking a political risk. Can we do any less in this critical time? I urge all lovers of truth, justice and peace to take a stand against imposition of the "two state solution" by endorsing that letter.

Taxes to go up 10%!

By Findalis

For years I have heard of the proposal to impose a Value Added Tax (VAT) on the American people. While this sounds logical, it is fraught with many dangers.
What is a Value Added Tax?

A Value Added Tax is a consumption tax levied on value added. In contrast to sales tax, VAT is neutral with respect to the number of passages that there are between the producer and the final consumer; where sales tax is levied on total value at each stage, the result is a cascade (downstream taxes levied on upstream taxes). A VAT is an indirect tax, in that the tax is collected from someone who does not bear the entire cost of the tax.

Personal end-consumers of products and services cannot recover VAT on purchases, but businesses are able to recover VAT on the materials and services that they buy to make further supplies or services directly or indirectly sold to end-users. In this way, the total tax levied at each stage in the economic chain of supply is a constant fraction of the value added by a business to its products, and most of the cost of collecting the tax is borne by business, rather than by the state. VAT was invented because very high sales taxes and tariffs encourage cheating and smuggling. It has been criticized on the grounds that (like other consumption taxes) it is a regressive tax.
Under the VAT everything is taxed. Everything. There is a tax on goods and services, but also VAT on your utilities, food, entertainment (movies, shows, etc...), your mortgage or rent is taxed, your gas will be taxed, doctors visits, I believe that you get the point.

The groups that get hurt the most from a VAT are the ones who can least afford to pay it: The Poor and Middle Class.

Yet the Democrats, those champions of the downtrodden poor, are now considering this:
As lawmakers toy with the idea of an across-the-board sales tax on just about everything, tax reform advocates are starting to drum up opposition with the same fervor they employed during last month's anti-tax tea parties.

The idea of a national sales tax was once unlikely. But now that the federal government is doling out billions in stimulus spending and bailouts, and looking for billions more for health care reform, the prospect could be gaining some traction.

The frenzy over the idea kicked up after a Washington Post article Wednesday reported that Congress is starting to pay closer attention to this largely academic proposal and that the Obama administration, though shushing speculation, is soliciting advise from supporters of the idea.

"It should certainly raise alarm bells that they think they can inject it into the debate," said Phil Kerpen, policy director at Americans for Prosperity.

The value-added tax, or VAT, as it is called, amounts to a tax-on-everything -- or TOE, for the acronym-inclined. It's a tax on goods that's applied in pieces throughout the chain of production and distribution and results in an increase in the cost of virtually everything you buy.

Aside from raising revenue for the government, the move could have a number of things going for it, say proponents -- it's tough to evade, it's simple by comparison to the income tax and it encourages saving.

Some conservatives have called for something similar -- the so-called Fair Tax -- that would replace the federal income tax system with a national retail sales tax.

But critics of the VAT say it would almost certainly not be implemented as a replacement for the income tax system -- rather, it would be just another tax, on top of the income tax, the state sales tax and everything else.

"This isn't a tax reform proposal that the White House is talking about. This is a new source of income for the government," said Max Pappas, public policy vice president at FreedomWorks. "The government needs big taxes and we've got big government, so now they're trying to decide how to pay for it."
Every nation that has a Value Added Tax has no Income Taxes. The VAT replaces the Income Tax. Except for the US, here it would be in addition to the Income Tax. A 10% tax hike would go into effect.

View a list of nations with a VAT here.

So much for promises of no tax hikes. Here comes the biggest tax increase in the last 60 years. Hold on to your wallets, for the US will get a Value Added Tax on top of our Income Taxes.

The Latest Czar to Regulate Far More than Cars

TSUNAMI MEDIA ALERT

May 29, 2009 The Latest Czar to Regulate Far More than Cars www.WAMAction.org

A long-forecast and dreaded announcement came this morning from the head of the "Change" Administration himself.
The astonishing sequence of end-runs, by the "Change" Adminisitration - around traditional and critical structures which
preserve the U.S. Constitution- and its balance of powers - seems about to take its greatest toll to date. The protections provided
by the 3 American branches of government have continued to erode via Obama's unprecedented installation of "Czars" - i,e, politically hand-picked individuals who are given enormous powers over free enterprise - and whom report directly to the Chief Excutive himself. This newly invented system for expanding Executive branch authority, among its other dangers, eliminates the need for Congressional approval or involvement with these power-packed new authority figures. It also short circuits Capitol
Hill oversight of the activities which they undertake.

Obama has made public today his plan to take control of the Internet - directly from the White House - on behalf of preserving
"cyber-security." This strategy to expand his authority to encroach further on Americans right to privacy - with warrantless supervision of online activity - has been in the works since the Inauguration. The timing of its current announcement holds notable coincidence to the Chief Executive's recent decline in public opinion polls (along with the downhill slide of popularity among his key Congressional leadership (Pelosi, Reid and Dodd.)

Former Democratic activists who worked against Obama's nomination are among those most aware of the alarm bells this current
move to suppress opposition sets off. His online primary campaign, which generated maximum impact via use of high tech applications-is recalled by many for its brutality and vicious conduct against web opponents in 2008. Several reported personal threats while many more indicated repeated disruption of their blogs and large-scale attacks on their forums. Throughout the campaign season, an online army of campaign-paid web thugs were hired for these intrusions, as reported and verified by FOX News. Intimidation, verbal threats, gutter language and even obscene images were the order of the day.

Those in the know, then are acutely aware, then, that the "threats to security" listed by this Head of State in his televised speech today ironically coincide with tactics similar to some his own campaign used to get elected. An Obama small-dollar-on-line donor even reported receiving a phone call on his unlisted cell phone to remind him of a "Meet Up" in his own neighborhood - this despite the fact that the donor had not supplied the campaign with either his cell number nor his physical address! At least one Nigerian husband and wife both confessed last year to using their executive positions with international tech corporations to obtain personal records of U.S. citizens for use in harassment by the "Change" campaign.

In the meantime, while specifics of the new leader's rationale remain to be seen, it's already foreshadowed they will be as far-reaching as possible. Obama's sweeping statements about the urgent need to protect everything from banking records, to online purchases to information exchange. Rumors have indicated that the NSA is also disturbed that this new report-to-President only position would also circumvent this agency's normal role in cyber-watching. Further evidence of the long-term planning of this eradication of online privacy plan lies in the fact that Senators Rockfeller and Snowe introduced a bill in Congress on April 1st to give the White House these cyber-space powers.

One could ask: How does the rest of Congress feel about turning over their responsibility and authority to the Executive Branch?
Also, if the right to online privacy is allowed follow the path of warrantless phone wire-tapping what does Big Brother have in mindnext? And lest we wonder who might be put on the Cyber Czar's Watch List, just remember the recent Homeland Security Warningthat "right wing extremists" (ie any citizens identified as"Change administration opponents) are now a grave threat. Even a child could connect quickly connect the dots between that recent DHS Alert and the press conference on cyber-security threats today! it's not hard to guage whose "security" seems to feel most threatened. The only question that remains is how much more terror - against free enterprise and freedom of speech - will We the People permit the "Change" Administration to undertake?!
