Abu Bakr said (to me), 'Umar has come to my and said, 'A great number of Qaris of the Holy Quran were killed on the day of the battle of Al-Yamama, and I am afraid that the casualties among the Qaris of the Quran may increase on other battle-fields whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost. Therefore I consider it advisable that you (Abu Bakr) should have the Qur'an collected.' I said, 'How dare I do something which Allah's Apostle did not do?' 'Umar said, By Allah, it is something beneficial.' 'Umar kept on pressing me for that till Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chest of 'Umar and I had in that matter, the same opinion as 'Umar had." Abu Bakr then said to me (Zaid), "You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you, and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah's Apostle. So you should search for the fragmentary scripts of the Quran and collect it (in one Book)." Zaid further said: By Allah, if Abu Bakr had ordered me to shift a mountain among the mountains from one place to another it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Qur'an. Then I said (to 'Umar and Abu Bakr), "How can you do something which Allah's Apostle did not do?" Abu Bakr said, "By Allah, it is something beneficial." Zaid added: So he (Abu Bakr) kept on pressing me for that until Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and 'Umar, and I had in that matter, the same opinion as theirs. So I started compiling the Quran by collecting it from the leafless stalks of the date-palm tree and from the pieces of leather and hides and from the stones, and from the chests of men (who had memorized the Quran). I found the last verses of Sirat-at-Tauba: ("Verily there has come unto you an Apostle (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves--' (9.128-129) ) from Khuzaima or Abi Khuzaima and I added to it the rest of the Sura. The manuscripts of the Quran remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him. Then it remained with 'Umar till Allah took him unto Him, and then with Hafsa bint 'Umar.

4 Adam 37 Is Out of Service-Rest In Peace Sir

Officer Erik Hite, killed in the line of duty in a cross town shootout June 1, 2008 (he was shot June 1 and died June 2), was laid to rest today. Literally THOUSANDS lined the streets to honor him. I haven't been able to find an embed code for any video but one news station has given us its URL for it's documentation of this city's honor for a fallen hero. One newspaper has a wonderful slide slow as well. I was able to capture one picture, but not the one I wanted. The one I wanted showed the firemen creating an arch with a flag in the middle for the procession. There was also an awesome air tribute--several law enforcement and military helicopters (not only was Officer Hite a four year Tucson Police Department veteran, he was a 21 year Air Force Veteran) which circled the city during the procession--I counted five flyovers alone from my office.

Republican vs. Conservative-Another Savage Gem

Most of you know by now, I listen to Savage on the drive home. While the man is most definitely passionate in his beliefs, there is also a significant amount of truth in what he says.

I have been a Republican all my life. I would never consider being a democrat because a democrat is diametrically opposed to my core beliefs. I'm finding the Republican party is becoming as diametrically opposed as well. Savage promotes a foundation of border, culture and language--and I happen to agree. I also like his term--Independent Nationalist. I had thought about Independent Conservative (ICon) to describe myself, but IndNat'l seems to fit me better.

Remember--the biggest danger to the enemy within is a person who can think for themself.

Therefore, keeping the above in mind, I bring you Savage's Republican vs. Conservative:

Republicans vs. Conservatives

The voices of those who call themselves conservative are propagandizing the airwaves. You can hear the Golfer defending high gas prices as a necessary part of the free market, that there shouldn't be an FDA to protect us from salmonella, that illegal aliens are just doing the jobs Americans won't do, and attacking the minimum wage as being anti-job. This is garbage. These people are globalist liberals masquerading as free marketers. They have taken the Golfer's Kool-Aid. And more importantly, while they may be Republicans, they are most definitely not conservatives. I've said time and time again on this program that I'm a conservative, not a Republican. There's a huge difference between the two.

• Republicans are for AIDS money to Africa. Conservatives are for aid to working American citizens.
• Republicans are for letting the free market decide that $5 a gallon gas is OK. Conservatives are for compelling foreign oil producers to increase production and reduce prices, by force if necessary.
  
• Republicans are for bailing out billionaire money manipulators on Wall Street while you wait in line at the hospital behind an illegal alien. Conservatives are for letting Wall Street hucksters pay for their own mistakes and sending the illegal back to Mexico.
  
• Republicans are for letting market forces decide if your food has fecal matter in it. Conservatives are for enforcing basic food safety standards so that Mexican farm workers can't crap in the fields and make you sick.
  
• Republicans think bringing in illegal aliens is an amnesty. Conservatives think brining in illegal aliens is a travesty.
  
• Republicans want a strong global economy. Conservatives want a country. Republicans think that child porn on the internet is freedom from government. Conservatives know that smut is a poison that must be snuffed out.

America thought Bush was a conservative. He turned out to be just a Republican. And while there are Republicans who are conservatives, too, don't let the "R" after the name fool you. Let the voter – and the listener – beware.

Well worth thinking about, ladies and gentlemen. Are you a party lemming/sheeple or are you an indpendent thinker, capable of observing, researching and making your own decisions and acting upon those decisions?

From an Army Rangers' Mouth About Iraq

Many moons ago, before I joined the consortium of conservative thought here at A Newt One, I blogged elsewhere. During that time outside of A Newt One, sometime in 2007, I had posted a particular You Tube "interview" with an Army Ranger that was begging - literally - for someone to stop the Leftinistra (my term not his) from causing the deaths of his fellow soldiers with their constant assailing the Troops and the President of the United States in a time of war when they should be supporting the Troops so they can win this war that the terrorists started - and come home proud and victorious. This was not to pass because political expediency took precedence over Patriotism, gratitude and that which was right.

Before I repost this video, let it be known that I was so affected by the latest post by Humbled Infidel, that I could not find my post that contained a message that only I could write. Having said that, I will post the verbiage from Humbled Infidel here. But, before I do that, know this. I despise the likes of Nancy Pelosi. Taking it a few steps further, I actually hate her and would not bemoan her demise - from natural causes, naturally.

In more recent posts, I have called for the investigation in regards to the deaths of American Troops both in Iraq and Afghanistan which can be directly attributed to the defaming and blind hatred of President Bush and our Troops by the likes of Nancy Pelosi. She is the ring leader in the Lower House, after all and it is within her power to stop the nonsense. I have conducted a specific investigation of my own and there is a direct correlation to the spikes in attacks on American and Coalition forces fighting in this war. One of those spikes resulted in Spain removing their forces from Iraq which was repaid by yet another terrorist attack in Spain as a heart-felt thank you to Spain from Al Qaida.

Anyone within the construct of government service which conducts themselves such as Nancy Pelosi and her similar ilk in regards to this war, that, by the way, they all signed onto, are a disgrace to this nation and by the very definitions of treason, subversion and sedition, an investigation is in order and charges are required to be levied.

The Army Ranger that has originally called into a radio broadcast show was killed in action fighting a war Pelosi approved of in the first place. Thank you Nancy et al for prolonging this war and contributing to the deaths of the men and women that protect you and thank you Nancy et all for contributing to the deaths of my Brothers In Arms. May you rot in hell. The blood on your hands will never wash away.

I posted a video "Army Ranger Calls Pleas For The American People To Let Them Finish Their Job in Iraq" on November 16, 2007. Please notice below, Lewismadmax says this Army Ranger was killed in a roadside bomb. My heart is just aching because when this man died, we know these liberal traitors' words where weighing heavy on his heart. Yes these liberal traitors have our Troops blood on their hands! They need to be brought up on charges -

Nancy Pelosi is a war criminal. There are no more men remaining in DC and DC is comprised of cowards and power hungry cretins, of which I hate them all. Men of courage would have stood up to the Pelosis in DC and across the country yet, to this day, they remain silent, the cowards which they are. May they burn for an eternity, damn them all to hell.

Bloody Murder & Torture

Isdamn strikes again, this time at a Coptic Monastery in Egypt. Peaceful monks were shot, murdered, abducted and tortured; their property was destroyed. The local authorities refused to charge and prosecute the perpetrators and instead, accused the innocent victims. The victims were denied medical care.

Ibn Misr has the disgusting details at Sons Of Apes And Pigs., complete with photographs and video of the attack. He also lists the Qur'an verses which command the perpetration of such evil acts.

Anyone who can read Ibn Misr's account of the attack and view the photos without invoking the Almighty to destroy Isdamn should go out and quietly hang himself.

I will go immediately to congress.org and paste this post into an email to Shrub and my Representative & Senators. I will disrespectfully demand the termination of foreign aid to Egypt.
