(IsraelNN.com) Oriah Ohana, a 25-year-old Israeli rabbi from Kfar Chabad, was attacked by a group of Arab men in Brooklyn, New York City, Tuesday evening.

An 18-year-old Arab man grabbed the yarmulka (kippa) off Rabbi Ohana’s head at the 4th Avenue and 9th Street train station in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, while his friends kicked and punched the victim and screamed "Allahu Akbar" [Arabic: Allah is Great].

A Creep Crept Into The Crypt & Crapped revealed how the self-righteous idiot challenged me to cite an ayeh commanding him to attack his neighbors. I responded with Al-Taubah 123 and Ibn Kathir's Tafsir of that ayeh. Observe the idiot's response, how it can only attack the messenger & divert attention; it can not refute the clear & obvious imperative of Allah as expressed in 9:123

I met its challenge in ample form, with complete documentation. In this post I include links to ten parallel translations for most ayat I cite so that you can see for yourself that the choice of wording varies but the meaning does not.

• The brazen hypocrisy in the comments reproduced below sticks out like a sore toe. It is obvious, without concealment.
• Dragging in the Hebrew scriptures is argumentum Tu quoque; a diversion, not a defense. The O.T. imperatives cited were limited to specific tribes, times and places. Islam's imperatives have no such limitation. They are outcome based fight...until loops
• 8:39 And fight them until there is no more Fitnah ...and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone...
• 9:29 Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, ... among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
• Jihad is defined by the translators of the Noble Qur'an as (holy fighting) in Allâh’s Cause (with full force of numbers and weaponry) is given the utmost importance in Islâm and is one of its pillar (on which it stands). By Jihâd Islâm is established, Allâh’s Word is made superior, (His Word being Lâ ilaha illallâh which means none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and His Religion (Islâm) is propagated.
• Jihad is obligatory, not optional.
• 2:216 Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.
• Jihad is inherent in the relationship between Allah and Muslims.
• 9:111 Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .
• Bargain? What bargain? They sold their souls for a false promise, that's the bargain. The deal is repeated in As-Saff.
• 61:10..13 O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment. That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know! (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of 'Adn ­ Eternity ['Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success...
• Jihad involves genocide.
• 8:67 It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
• 47:4 So, when you meet (in fight Jihâd in Allâh's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them...

• Abu Dawud Book 38, Number 4390: [...] I was among the captives of Banu Qurayzah. They (the Companions) examined us, and those who had begun to grow hair (pubes) were killed, and those who had not were not killed. I was among those who had not grown hair.

• Moe was not ashamed of being a terrorist, he bragged about it!
• Bukhari Volume 1, Book 7, Number 331 [...] Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey.[...]

• The Muslim king will not be able to establish the honour of theism (tauhid) and the supremacy of Islam unless he strives with all his courage to overthrow infidelity and to slaugthers its leaders (imams), who in India are the Brahmans. He finally ordered fighting without limitations, at all times and in all places, saying, ”Fight those who do not believe in God, and in the Last Day” (Q9:29); there are also other [similar] verses on the subject. This shows that it is a fard al-kifaya. [ Molla Khosrew, d. 1480, hanafi. Kitab al-Gihad, övers. Nicola Melis, Trattato sulla guerra (Cagliari, Italien 2002), s. 95-6.]
• A brief account of the duties which are obligatory on the Imam and the Sultan with regard to (their offices of) the Imamate and the Sultanate. (s. 61)
  His sixth duty is to fight with those who opposed Islam. But before taking such action he should invite them to surrender and if they refuse then fight with them until they surrender or are obliged to compromise. (s. 62)
  You must be aware, that the literal meaning of Jihad is ”to strive” or ”to endeavour according to one’s ability and strength.” But in the religious sense it means ”to strive in war against the non-believers according to one’s ability and strength.” (s. 455)
  You must be aware, that Jihad against the non-believers is an obligation. As regards the Hanafite opinion it has been cited in the Hidaya that Jihad is a duty in general on all the Muslim community. The fatal fact is that Islam is a mercenary & martial institution founded for Moe's personal emolument & empowerment. It has no beneficial purpose; it has no redeeming social value. It exemplifies imperialism, supremacism & triumphalism and poses an eternal, existential threat to the lives and liberties of all who reject it. Now, despite the creep's outrageous efforts at distraction, you know that every person who expresses admiration for, defends, praises, makes excuses for or refuses to curse & condemn Islam for the murder cult it is, is either a damned fool or a damned traitor to the human race. What will you do about it?

1. Will you rise up with me and disrespectfully demand that the Congress investigate Islam's canon of scripture & tradition?
2. Will you rise up with me and disrespectfully demand that Islam be outlawed, that Muslims be expelled and their institutions be closed?
3. Will you rise up with us and petition the World Court to ban Islam?
4. Will you rise up with me and petition the United Nations Security Council to investigate Islam's canon of scripture & tradition?
5. Will you rise up with me and petition Mel Gibson to document Islam's canon of scripture & tradition in a full length feature film? That would do more to inform our fellow citizens and plant the seeds of doubt & introspection among the Ummah than anything else.
6. Will you email those petitions to your contacts, exhorting them to sign and promote them?

   New Testament:

   “And He said to them, ‘When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?’ So they said, ‘Nothing.’ Then He said to them, ‘BUT NOW, HE WHO HAS A MONEY BAG, LET HIM TAKE IT, AND LIKEWISE A KNAPSACK; AND HE WHO HAS NO SWORD, LET HIM SELL HIS GARMENT AND BUY ONE.    And this is what the world has to look forward to when Jesus returns according to the Book of Revelation:

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. AND OUT OF HIS MOUTH GOETH A SHARP SWORD, THAT WITH IT HE SHOULD SMITE THE NATIONS: AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON: AND HE TREADETH THE WINEPRESS OF THE FIERCENESS AND WRATH OF ALMIGHTY GOD.”

   You can call Islam violent all you want. If, for the sake of argument, it is, then it is no break whatsoever than the norm found in the Semitic religious tradition of the Jews and their indiscriminate culling of civilians in the Bible and Jesus’ readiness to battle his Roman captors.

1. Now, to address the complete wanton misrepresentation of the Qur’anic verses.

   Ben chose to conveniently ignore #1 of my challenge (FIND A SINGLE VERSE IN THE QUR’AN THAT COMPARES EVEN REMOTELY TO NUMBERS 31) and shamefully jump

   to #2 (FIND A SINGLE VERSE IN THE QUR’AN THAT INSTRUCTS AMERICAN MUSLIMS TO WAGE WAR AGAINST THEIR NON-MUSLIM NEIGHBORS). Dubious, but perfectly fine by me.

   To answer #2 of my challenge, Ben wrote:

   So this is a command that I, an American Muslim, should wage war on my neighbors? Let us look at the context of this verse from Chapter 9 (called “al-Tawbah”) starting with the very first verses!

   “This is a declaration of immunity by God and His Messenger from the polytheists with whom you had a treaty. You may roam freely in the land for four months and know that you can not beleaguer God and that he will cause the disbelievers to be defeated. This is an announcement from God and His Messenger to the People on the Day of the Pilgrimage that God and His Messenger are no longer obligated to the Polytheists. If you repent it is better for you. Yet, if you turn away then know that you can not beleaguer God, and let the disbelievers know of a woeful chastisement.

   EXCEPT for those Polytheists with whom you have a treaty and who did not violate the treaty in any way, and have not supported anyone against you. Continue to fulfill your treaty with them for its entire course, for God loves those who are pious.”
   [Qur’an, al-Tawbah 9:1-4]

   Okay, so this Chapter 9 is supposed to instruct me, an American-Muslim to wage war on my non-Muslim neighbors EXCEPT those who have no broken “the treaty”? What treaty?! So let me get this straight: As an American-Muslim I should read this verse and realize that God and His Messenger are no longer bound by a Treaty that was ratified in March of 628 AD and broken by the Meccan Polytheists in 630 AD? Wow, I’m confused….how exactly ON EARTH should I do that??

   Perhaps, the sane can see that this is talking about an ISOLATED INCIDENT 1400 YEARS AGO! EVERY verse about fighting in this Chapter is relevant to what it states at the BEGINNING of the Chapter: The Arabian Polytheist who violated the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in 630 AD by attacking tribes that were allied with the Muslims of Medina. It has NO binding WHATSOEVER to any other circumstances outside of those.

   It is pertinent to note that unlike the Biblical Moses’ indiscriminate genocidal rape and pillage fest in Numbers 31, Muhammad is instructed to only fight those who fight against them and to immediately forgive them if they lay down arms:

   “But if they desist from violence, then God is Most-Forgiving and Most-Merciful. Fight until there is no more chaos and oppression and justice and faith prevail; But if they desist let there be no hostility except to those who are oppressors.”
   [Qur’an, al-Baqarah, 2:192-193]

   Finally, as a note I would like to point out that you will find the Evangelical Crusaders always quoting from the Saudi commissioned translation by Hilali and Khan which is severely scorned by Western Muslims for its inaccuracies and very biased hermeneutic translations. Aside from that, the English is so poor it is a burden to read. They quote it for these very same reasons.

Ibn Kathir explains that ayeh in this Tafsir: The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers, the Closest, then the Farthest Areas.

Allah commands the believers to fight the disbelievers, the closest in area to the Islamic state, then the farthest. This is why the Messenger of Allah started fighting the idolators in the Arabian Peninsula. When he finished with them and Allah gave him control over Makkah, Al-Madinah, At-Ta'if, Yemen, Yamamah, Hajr, Khaybar, Hadramawt and other Arab provinces, and the various Arab tribes entered Islam in large crowds, he then started fighting the People of the Scriptures. He began preparations to fight the Romans who were the closest in area to the Arabian Peninsula, and as such, had the most right to be called to Islam, especially since they were from the People of the Scriptures. The Prophet marched until he reached Tabuk and went back because of the extreme hardship, little rain and little supplies. [...]

During `Uthman's reign, Islam wore its widest garment and Allah's unequivocal proof was established in various parts of the world over the necks of the servants. Islam appeared in the eastern and western parts of the world and Allah's Word was elevated and His religion apparent. The pure religion reached its deepest aims against Allah's enemies, and whenever Muslims overcame an Ummah, they moved to the next one, and then the next one, crushing the tyranical evil doers. They did this in reverence to Allah's statement,

﴿يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَاتِلُواْ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِّنَ الْكُفَّارِ﴾

(O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you,) Allah said next,

﴿وَلِيَجِدُواْ فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً﴾

(and let them find harshness in you), meaning, let the disbelievers find harshness in you against them in battle. The complete believer is he who is kind to his believing brother, and harsh with his disbelieving enemy.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali comments on this ayat:

* v.123 : When conflict becomes inevitable, the first thing is to clear our surroundings of all evil, for it is only evil that we can rightly fight. To evil we must put up a stout and stiff resistance. Mealy-mouthed compromises are not right for soldiers of truth and righteousness. They are often a compound of cowardice, weariness, greed, and corruptibility.

L:ikewise Tafsir al-Jalalayn:

O you who believe, fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, that is, the nearest, followed by the next nearest of them, and let them find harshness in you, that is, severity, in other words, be harsh with them, and know that God is with the pious, helping and granting [them] victory.

Tafsir Ibn 'Abbas cites the names of local tribes whom Moe attacked in accordance with 9:123 I have an ahadith to show you about his treatment of one of those tribes.

(O ye who believe!) in Muhammad (pbuh) and in the Qur'an (Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you) the Banu Qurayzah, Banu'l-Nadir, Fadak and Khaybar, (and let them find harshness in you) toughness from you, (and know) O believers (that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)) Allah helps the believers: Muhammad (pbuh) and his Companions, by making them victorious over their enemies.

Abu Dawud Book 38, Number 4390:
Narrated Atiyyah al-Qurazi:
I was among the captives of Banu Qurayzah. They (the Companions) examined us, and those who had begun to grow hair (pubes) were killed, and those who had not were not killed. I was among those who had not grown hair.

Allah made another command to fight, earlier in the same surah. This ayeh is the foundation of significant jurisprudence.

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Rodwell has a slightly different choice of words.

Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given as believe not in God, or in the last day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle have forbidden, and who profess not the profession of the truth, until they pay tribute out of hand, and they be humbled.

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I am commanded to fight with men till they testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Apostle, face our qiblah (direction of prayer), eat what we slaughter, and pray like us. When they do that, their life and property are unlawful for us except what is due to them. They will have the same rights as the Muslims have, and have the same responsibilities as the Muslims have.

The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o-11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),
the time and place for which is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace). After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace), which is the divinely revealed law of Muhammad. The coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),
"I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"

Al-Ghazali & Al-Shafi'i add something important, which I will highlight.

Below is what Al-Ghazali actually wrote about jihad war, and the treatment of the vanquished non-Muslim dhimmi peoples (from the Wagjiz, written in 1101 A.D.): …one must go on jihad (i.e., warlike razzias or raids) at least once a year...one may use a catapult against them [non-Muslims] when they are in a fortress, even if among them are women and children. One may set fire to them and/or drown them...If a person of the Ahl al-Kitab [People of The Book - Jews and Christians, typically] is enslaved, his marriage is [automatically] revoked…One may cut down their trees...One must destroy their useless books. Jihadists may take as booty whatever they decide...they may steal as much food as they need...

Al-Shafi'i (God have mercy on him) said: "The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims' interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse." He said: "If he did not undertake the sending of enough troops to fight, those who are absent (must) go out, and consider as an obligation that which God (who is praised) said." I said: "What I have mentioned showed that if a group was needed to carry out an expedition, [f. 175 a] our duty was incumbent on all of them.

The Qur'an contains commands to engage in aggression. Moe's sunnah confirms the commands and the fact that he obeyed them. Islamic law, which is based on the Qur'an & sunnah confirms them and the tafsirs also confirm them.

To make matters worse, Islam threatens shirkers with Hellfire and offers participation in Jihad as a get out of Hell free card.

9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.

9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allâh is Able to do all things.

61:10. O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.

61:11. That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!

61:12. (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of 'Adn ­ Eternity ['Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success.

That is what makes every Muslim a potential terrorist, and makes the institution a proximate, and perpetual threat to our lives and liberties.

Some Interesting Quotes

While driving home from work, I heard an excellent quote today. When I heard who the quote was from, and when, I determined to find it and post it.

This person was born April 5, 1856 and died November 14, 1915; was an American educator, author and leader of the African American community. S/he was freed from slavery as a child, gained an education, and as a young adult was appointed to lead a teachers' college for blacks. From this position of leadership s/he rose into a nationally prominent role as spokesman for African Americans.

I thought it would be nice to hear some positive coming out of a black person, particularly in light of the filth we've been subjected to by the alleged black leaders the past week or so.

So, who is this mystery guest? Why, none other than Booker T. Washington. I think I would have liked to have known him. After a remarkable life, he seems to have embodied the true ideals for getting along with his fellow man. We didn't hear from him the hate and vitriol we hear from the likes of Sharpton, Jackson and Wright.
We do hear echoes of him in today's Juan Williams and Bill Cosby, who espouse education, responsibility and not expecting everyone to do for you. One of my favorite Cosby quotes is, "What good is Brown v. Board of Education if nobody wants it?"

The very last quote is the one I heard today, the one which sent me on my quest. Mr. Washington wrote it as a preface to one of his books, and it is circa 1911.

One last tidbit? Mr. Washington was mulatto as well, born to a white plantation owner and a slave mother. He was just as mulatto as Barack Hussein Obama; what he is lacking, however, is the sense of entitlement, the anger, the arrogance. He was a producer, being one of the original founders of Tuskegee College. He mingled with great men, regardless of color, and was able to obtain funding for his schools based on his vision.

That all sounds wonderful, but let's keep this in perspective. Mr. Washington was a product of a completely different era. HE WAS A SLAVE. He was freed and HE MADE SOMETHING LASTING OF HIMSELF.

He wasn't a hustler, he wasn't a race baiter, he wasn't a hater. He was a real man--certainly a rarity today.

More important, it is men like him who were the inspiration for the civil rights workers 75-80 years later. He was the inspiration of what could be gained with education, with quiet dignity and non-violence.

He is the kind of man blacks need to be looking up to--not the race baiters, not the haters, not the hip-hop filth and the hos and bling.

There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. A truly remarkable man and well worth learning about. His lessons and ideas are as timely today as they were a century ago.
