The Democratic Train Wreck Continues--Illustrated

Wow boys and girls, what a roller coaster week we've had! And the train wreck just keeps getting worse for the Dems, the deniers, the defeatists--in short, all those whose main goal in life is the implosion of the United States from the inside. What's on our plates this week?

Our favorite hate-monger, civil rights fraud Al Sharpton has had records subpoenaed from his 2004 Presidential bid--seems he appears to have co-mingled funds from his non-profit, his for profit and his campaign finances. Of course, according to his blimpiness, it's all racially motivated. When WILL this buffoon realize his record is stuck on stupid and we're tired of hearing the same old drivel from his irrelevant pie-hole?

Next, we have the entire democratic Congress whining and crying about the big, bad Republicans (Wait--aren't the Dems the MAJORITY in Congress right now? Thought so...) making them toe the budget line. They never met a bill they didn't think could be improved by either a surrender timeline or increased taxes--or both. They don't like that veto pen and the big, bad Republican wielding it. I say make 'em cry--make them FEAR that veto pen!

Liberal radio talk show host out of San Francisco, former seminarian (some reports say priest, but I couldn't find any proof of ordination anywhere), who downloaded child porn for alleged book research in 2004 and finally indicted this past week. Has this been a conservative talk show host, we would have heard about it ad nauseum. But because he's a liberal, it's only making the rounds on the internet. Because he's from San Francisco, where these sickos seem to congregate, even taking their children to sex fests a la Folsom, it's apparently ok.

Savage raises a good point here though--why did San Francisco's city council vote to basically censor Savage's freedom of speech--while giving an indicted child porn downloader a free pass?

Not just brain scans for the candidates (it would be interesting to see if there are even two synapses firing) but how about drug testing as well? After all, to bag groceries at your local supermarket you have to have a drug test--why not for political office?

Huckabee is starting to scare me. How could someone that is running for President be unaware of "issues" between the U.S. and Cuba?

Huckabee has a long record of raising taxes. The buck stops at his desk on that, but in a sense, he passes the blame back to the people. Perhaps we all should give our ten percent. But what Huckabee is saying here is that if we don't give it voluntarily, then the government will just take it from it from us for government crutch programs. After all, thats what Jesus would do. Right? This is the kind of stuff that feeds my fear that Huckabee would use the government to force his morality on all of us.

ACLU Disappointed: FISA Court Denies Access to Wiretap Records
Writing for the court, U.S. District Judge John Bates refused:

'The identification of targets and methods of surveillance would permit adversaries to evade surveillance, conceal their activities, and possibly mislead investigators through false information,' Bates said.

Of course a common sense ruling like this disappoints the ACLU.

Huckabee: Women Should Submit To Their Husbands
Its a literal interpretation from the Bible, but...maybe not the best statement to have to defend when women voters are already leaning towards Hillary.

ACLU Claims Religious Test "Proposed as a Necessary Qualification" for President
If you can't win your issue by the strength of your argument… then lie. Apparently that is the tactic of the ACLU if a recent "ACLU's Diary" entry on the DailyKos by T. Jeremy Gunn is any indication. With all the talk of religion surrounding the various candidates for the GOP nomination for president lately it has obviously been driving our ACLU Director of Freedom of Religion and Belief out of his gourd. (Though, one is excused for thinking that his title is a bit misleading for it should probably be a Freedom from Religion and Belief, but be that as it may…) Gunn goes off half cocked over the supposed forced imposition of religion on the campaign for president.

The lie concerns Mr. Gunn's shot at Romney claiming that he and others have created a new "religious test" as a qualification for a candidate in contravention to the Constitution.

Read the whole thing...Another thought, if the ACLU are not liberal...why do they only blog at liberal blogs?

The GOP Debate: Who Won?
Fortunately I missed the dull debate today. I would like to know who won though. I've gathered blogger reactions I could find, and found a lot that says Romney won and a lot that says Thompson won. Sounds like the debate faired the best for those two. I have put up a poll asking who won. If you got a chance to see the debate, please come over and give a vote to who you thought the winner was.

House Votes to Outlaw CIA Waterboarding
222 morons had rather have blood on their hands for following a moronic moral code that is politically popular than to do whats necessary to save lives when it comes down to it. No matter, this bills final fate ends with the President's veto pen. I have a feeling we will soon all be missing President Bush on some issue.

Democrats Vote Yes to Ramadan, But No to Christmas
If you haven't heard about this yet, you should inform your readers. 9 Democrats voted "NO" votes on a resolution to honor Christmas and the Christian faith. They voted yes in the past to honor Ramadan, an almost exact resolution. Of course there is no war on Christianity though... This has got to make the ACLU and CAIR super proud.
