Meanings of the Flag--From Fossil

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used GOD's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think it's high time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history. Pass it along and be proud of the country we live in and even more proud of those who serve to protect our "GOD GIVEN" rights and freedoms. I hope you take the time to read this..... To understand what the flag draped coffin really means..... Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers. Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776? Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day! The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life. The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life. The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world. The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance. The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong." The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that They pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of their republic. The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death , that we might see the light of day. The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded. The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born. The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding them of their nations motto, "In God We Trust." After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today. There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why. Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of "Liberty and Freedom." MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. FORWARD IT; MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM. IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS. ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

Ain't It The truth--Joke from Bonnie

The old priest lay dying in the hospital. For years he had faithfully served the people of the nation's capital. He motioned for his nurse to come near.

'Yes, Father?' said the nurse.

'I would really like to see Senator's Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton before I die.' whispered the priest.

'I'll see what I can do, Father' replied the nurse. The nurse sent the request to the Senate and waited for a response. Soon the word arrived.

As they went to the hospital, Hillary commented to Teddy, 'I don't know why the old priest wants to see us, but it will certainly help our images and might even get me elected President. After all, I'm IN IT TO WIN IT.' Kennedy agreed it was a good thing.

When they arrived at the priest's room, the priest took Ted's hand in his right hand and Hillary's hand in his left. There was silence and a look of serenity on the old priest's face.

Finally Senator Kennedy spoke. 'Father, of all the people you could have chosen, why did you choose us to be with you as you near the end?'

The old priest slowly replied, 'I have always tried to pattern my life after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.'

'Amen' said Teddy.

'Amen' said Hillary.

The old priest continued, 'Jesus died between two lying thieves. I would like to do the same.'

Child Attacked on Halloween for Soldier Costume; Parents Stand by and Watch

This came to me from Texas Fred. I'm cross-posting it word for word, complete with all links. I highly recommend following all the links and reading the comments from the REAL terrorists, the Americans who scream we're terrorists for being in an "unjust" war and allegedly abhor violence--yet advocate parents standing by and encouraging their children to beat the crap out of a child who, proud of his soldier father, dressed as a soldier for Halloween. Not only advocate their children beating the child, but also advocate killing the child. I'll reprint a couple of the comments from the original poster.

This is the face of the enemy within. These are the alleged "peace protestors". These are the ones Cllinton, Osama-bama and Edwards play to in their campaigns. These are the people illustrated by loons such as the "911 Truthers" and Rosie. These are the people who shit on the flag and burn soldiers in effigy in the name of "peace".

Child Attacked Over Soldier Costume

This story was posted today by my blogging buddy at Malagents Domain, this is one of the most disturbing stories I have seen in a long time, but even more disturbing than the story itself is a couple of the comments made by certain individuals…

I encourage you to read this story and click on the link to see the comments that were made, and I hope some of you will tell these people exactly what you think of them too…

On my way home tonight I was drawn into an incident that has me so angry that I could not even write about it until I calmed down a bit.

In a residential neighborhood I stopped at an intersection and witnessed several children who appeared to be fighting a few yards from my vehicle. At first it did not seem real serious, however, one of the children said something that caused me to pay more attention. He said “You’re a terrorist just like your dad, I’m going to kill you just like the Iraq is gonna kill him.” It was then that I realized what was going on. A young boy, probably 10 or 11 was dressed as a US soldier, he was pinned on the ground while a group of four or five other boys where hitting and kicking him while at least two older people in costumes watched.

I left my truck in the street and got out just as one boy picked up a softball sized rock and headed towards he boy pinned on the ground. He was yelling “MURDERER” over and over. I yelled at the boy with the rock who dropped it and ran as he saw me. The others did not stop attacking the boy on the ground until I pulled them off of him. It was at this point the two older people started screaming at me. “What are you doing to my boys, leave them alone!” They were the mothers of two of the attackers. I told them I was calling the police and they all ran off.

The boy who had been attacked was crying and told me his father was serving in Iraq so he had decided to dress “like a soldier” for Halloween. He told me the attackers were his friends and that after one of the mothers start calling him and his dad a murderer his friends joined in and then attacked him.

Although he was bleeding he did not appear to be seriously injured and was very adamant that he did not want police or medical help. When I went to move my truck and call the police the boy disappeared into the neighborhood.

I’m still not sure whether I’m more disturbed by the children’s actions or the two mothers standing there watching. Were they going to let the boy be hit with a rock larger than a softball? Why did they allow the fight in the first place?

What kind of environment is required for ten year old boys to attack & threaten death over a soldier costume? I can only imagine the things they here at home and I can only imagine ho much worse these kids while be in the teens and as adults.

Had the assailants been a little older I’m afraid I would have been in jail before it was over. Given the fact they were literally children, I did nothing more then pull them away from the victim.

I really don’t give a damn what one’s position on the Iraq war or any war for that matter, but to allow this situation to happen is flat out wrong.

   The real problem here is with the kid dressing like a murdering terrorist Bush thug soldier. The terrorists are our troops and they deserve to be killed for no going awol to protest this illegal war.
   What parent leaves their kid to go kill other kids and then has him dress like a killer? A parent that deserves to be dead. Maybe the kid that got beaten will have learned a lesson and wont grow up to be a terrorist like his daddy!

   I seriously doubt this story is true. Sounds like the mythical “soldier gets spit on” stories that came out during the Vietnam war. No kid should get beat up for dressing up like a war criminal…I mean American soldier. But chances are this story is a complete fabrication.

   War criminals is right, while I don’t agree with beating a child I do believe the soldiers are criminals for fighting this illegal war - Iraq never attacked us and was not a threat. These murderous bastards will be attacking Iran next and continuing th illegal killing for Bush’s amusement. The one who should be beaten it the mother who let her kid dress like a terrorist for halloween.

   WE r not targeting the right issue now… the problem here is that for more KRAZY and wrong this war is… it not approves the idea of beatin the hell out of a 10 years old dressed like a soldier… this kind is born out the violence on their homes and for that they resolve anythin with violence just like bush does makin wars out of nothin just for the profit of oil… this kind of attitude make this boys really think the solution to a “problem” such as this is to kill or hit with a stone to a kid that the only “wrong” thing he did is wear a COSTUME of a soldier… this is why very often we see in america that some school or college is beign attacked the same ppl that studies there… thats the real problem here… i agree with most of you that soldiers are riskin their life for servin this country… what i do not agree is to say that they r defendin this country… cuz to defend something you need something that threats it… and in this case irak has done nothin just have the inconvinence that under their soil there is the most valued mineral in the world at the moment… the real murderer is BUSH… cuz he is killin both american soliders and iraki citizens just for a GREEDY cause… he is the real murderer/ assasin / terrorist / i bet the next target is gonna be iran… and so on until there is no soil on this world that would give profit to him…
   and just for the record ppl like Superdem and Amerikkka r ppl that maybe grow up with fathers just like the two moms in the story… and for that i feel not angry but sorry for them bcuz they had the “BAD LUCK” to be born in a such horrible and violent enviorment…
