Stop the Ground Zero Rajab!!

ACLJ's litigation against the Ground Zero Mosque project is going forward, with oral arguments tomorrow.     This is not really an issue of desecration of sacred soil, neither is it an issue of sensitivity.  It is an issue of supremacism. Islamic doctrine holds that Islam must be superior; it must be in a dominant position. 

    Park 51 is not a 'community center', nor is it strictly a mosque; it is a rajab: a fortification built on a site of conquest as a symbol of supremacy and a staging area for further expansion through military expeditions

Cordoba House is Not the First Mosque of Triumph

Tom Burnett has a reminder for us, sent through another Alec Rawls blogburst. The issues of triumphalism & supremacism are not limited to any single place; they rise whereever Islam erects its symbols of conquest.

9:33. It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it).

48:28. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), that He may make it (Islâm) superior over all religions. And All-Sufficient is Allâh as a Witness.

61:9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâmic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammed ) hate (it).

Reliance of the Traveller, Book O, Chapter 11.5, has a list of seven severe limitations on conquered Jews & Christians; two of which are relevant to this issue.

-5- may not build higher than or as high as the Muslims' buildings, though if they acquire a tall house, it is not razed;

-7- and are forbidden to build new churches.

Islam must be made superior, victorious: dominant. Its Mosques must be larger and more numerous than churches, as a sign of domination. Muslims are planting their flag, symbolically seizing territory. Is there some part of this you can't comprehend?

Flight 93 father: ground zero mosque is the SECOND mosque being built on a 9/11 site Pamela Geller, who is leading the fight against the ground zero mosque in New York, has posted the following letter from Tom Burnett Senior. To our fellow 9/11 families and to all who are concerned about the Ground Zero mega-mosque in New York: We want everyone to know that the Park Service is right now building an even larger Islamic victory mosque atop the Flight 93 crash site. Many of you were outraged in 2005 when the Crescent of Embrace design was unveiled to be a half-mile wide Islamic shaped crescent: Left: 2005 publicity shot of the Crescent of Embrace design. Right: typical Islamic crescent and star, viewed from a similar angle. Few people know that this giant crescent actually points to Mecca, or understand the religious significance of this orientation. A crescent that points the direction to Mecca is a very familiar construct in the Islamic world. Because Muslims face Mecca for prayer, every mosque is built around a Mecca direction indicator called a mihrab. The classic mihrab is crescent shaped. Here are the two most famous mihrabs in the world: Left: the Mihrab of the Prophet, at the Prophet's mosque in Medina. Right: the mihrab of the Great Mosque in Cordoba Spain. Face into the crescent to face Mecca As with the Medina and Cordoba mihrabs, a person facing into the Crescent of Embrace will be facing Mecca. In the image below, superimposed red lines show the orientation of the Flight 93 crescent. The green qibla circle is from an online Mecca-direction calculator: A person standing between the tips of the crescent and facing into the center of the crescent (red arrow) will be facing almost exactly in "qibla" direction (the Muslim prayer direction). You can verify the qibla direction from Somerset PA using any number of on-line Mecca-direction calculators. To be precise, the Crescent of Embrace points 1.8° north of Mecca, ± a tenth of a degree. The final construction drawings alter this orientation slightly, so that instead of pointing a little less than two degrees north of Mecca, the actual crescent will point less than three degrees south of Mecca. Such small deviations from Mecca are insignificant by Islamic standards, which developed over a period of more than a thousand years during which far flung Muslims had no accurate way to determine the direction to Mecca. The Park Service does not call the Crescent of Embrace a crescent anymore. Now they call it Circle of Embrace, but the only actual change was to add an extra arc of trees (planted to the rear of a person facing into the giant crescent) that explicitly represents a broken off part of the circle. The unbroken part of the circle, what symbolically remains standing in the wake of 9/11, is just the original Crescent of Embrace. It is still a giant Islamic shaped crescent, still pointing at Mecca. This is the Park Service's official explanation for the design: the terrorist attacks are depicted as smashing our peaceful circle and turning it into a giant crescent. A clearer depiction of Islamic victory is hard to imagine, so no one should be too surprised that the damned thing points to Mecca, and actually turns out to be a mosque. Other mosque features Mosque design is based on a dozen typical mosque features, every one of which is realized in the Crescent/Circle design, all on the same epic scale as the half mile wide crescent-mihrab. Note, for instance, that the 93 foot tall minaret-like Tower of Voices is topped with another Islamic-shaped crescent, akin to the crescent-topped minarets seen in many Islamic countries: An Islamic shaped crescent, soaring in the sky above the symbolic lives of the 40 heroes, which literally dangle down below. In Islam, there is only heaven and hell. Symbolic damnation? The Flight 93 mosque needs to be stopped, along with the Islamic victory mosque at ground zero in Manhattan. Pat Condell Condemns Cordoba House

Bare Naked Islam posted this excellent video in which Pat Condell, the British atheist curmudgeon, expresses his outrage at Islamic arrogance and American political cowardice.

Pat Condell's rapid fire delivery does not allow much time to let critical concepts sink in, so I have transcribed his remarks. This probably is not word for word perfect, but it is close enough for our purposes.

All you Americans. whov'e been following the Islamization of Europe from afar with horrified incredulity if any of you are still nursing the cozy illusion that it could never happen in your country, its time to wake up and rub those sleepy eyes because the moment of truth has arrived. In case you haven't heard there's a plan afoot to build a thirteen story Islamic Center and Mosque a few yards from ground zero in New York. A plan that's been enthusiastically welcomed by politicians and civic leaders eager to show how tolerant they are at other people's expense. Is it possible to be astonished but not surprised ? Apparently its not enough that nearly three thousand innocent people had to lose their lives in a hideous act of religious mass murder but now their memory has to be insulted as well and the religion that murdered them allowed to build a. towering triumphalist Mosque on the ground where they died.

Is America losing its mind? It says a lot about the people behind this scheme that they have the bad taste even to propose building a Mosque in such a place, but to describe it as they have as a tribute to the victims is beyond bad taste and shows a profound contempt for those who died. It would be hard to imagine a more provocative gesture short of standing on their graves and burning the American flag.

Yet, how typical of Islam, with its own hair-trigger sensitivity to the slightest imagined insult to do something so arrogant and so insensitive.

Its gonna cost a hundred million dollars to build this thing, but nobody's prepared to say where the money is coming from. We do know that the Saudis fund a lot of Mosque building in the west when they are not busy trying to stamp out freedom of speech at the United Nations or telling Fox News what to broadcast so I guess we'll all be paying for it every time we start the car.

You know, it seems to me a much more appropriate place for a Mosque in New York would be the United Nations building itself, because that organization has become so Islamo-friendly in recent years that frankly I'm surprised it doesn't already have a minaret.

You know, I'm not even American but it makes me sick to my stomach to think that Islam is gonna be allowed anywhere near ground zero because 9/11 could never have happened if not for Islam and its teachings and its doctrine of jihad and its false promise of an impossible afterlife without which none of those gullible lunatics would have been persuaded to carry out such an insane act. And also because it wasn't just an attack on America but on all of us in the civilized world. As were the bombings in London, in Madrid, in Bali, the shootings in Mumbai and everywhere else the religion of peace decides it doesn't like the way people do things.

Any religion that endorses violence is incapable of delivering spiritual enlightenment. How obvious does that have to be? And it has no right even to call itself a religion Without the shield of religion to hide behind, Islam would be banned in the civilized world as a political ideology of hate and we have no obligation to make allowances for it anymore than we do for Nazism.

Its a bigger threat to our freedom than Nazism ever was. Yes, both are totalitarian and both divide the world unnecessarily into us and them, the pure and the impure and both make no secret of their desire to exterminate the Jews. But we were all more or less on the same side against the Nazis whereas the Islamonazis have got plenty of friends among people in the West who ought to know better.

American politicians now regularly make the kind of dhimmi noises about diversity as an excuse for Islamization, the same kind of thing that we've become so depressingly familiar with in Europe.

Its true that diversity has been good for America, its been the making of that country but American diversity has always been grounded in respect for the values- the individual liberties that make America what it is. Islam rejects those values and thats the difference and its a very important difference. Islam despises what America is, it rejects everything America stands for including freedom and diversity and any Muslim who denies that is a liar.

The organization behind this scheme is called the Cordoba Initiative and the building is to be called Cordoba House. And this is because Cordoba or Cordova is the city in southern Spain where Muslims built their first great Mosque at the start of and as a symbol of their conquest of Spain.

The ground zero Mosque is intended to serve the same purpose in America. Building Mosques on conquered sacred ground is standard practice, its what Islam has always done to assert its supremacy and that is whats happening here. And of course they know how insulting it is, how offensive it is; are you kidding? Why do you think they chose this site as close as possible to ground zero? Or do you think that that was just an accident? And they also know that once its built it will be there forever as a permanent affront to all Americans -- gloating in triumph and a major bridgehead in the ongoing stealth jihad. Thats how the Muslim world will see it and thats how they'll be encouraged to see it, and to be fair to them, thats exactly what it will be, confirming what they've always suspected: America is a soft country--a decadent country crippled by political correctness; confused and guilt ridden, with no backbone and no pride.

They plan to open it next year, on September the eleventh, the tenth anniversary of the atrocity. Is that tasteless enough for you? I'm surprised they haven't organized a 757 fly past.

But you know, it doesn't have to be this way. Here in London, we had a similar situation just recently when they wanted to build a gigantic Mosque to overshadow the Olympic games. Public opinion put a stop to that and public opinion can put a stop to this disgraceful plan as well and it can tell this group and the politicians who support them that enough is enough and that this is one insult too far and that America is a big country and there is plenty of room for them to build their offensive Mosque, if they have to, somewhere else, somewhere perhaps more appropriate to the spirit of their religion like the Arizona desert of Death Valley. Peace and God bless the Kuffar.

Evidently Pat suffers from cognitive dissonance, the victims of 9/11 were not murdered, they are victims of jihad. They were killed in a military attack upon civilians. The main religious component of the act is the religious obligation to carry out attacks on kuffar, which is classified as fard al-kifaya: binding upon all eligible male Muslims until a sufficient number have reported to the battlefront. The minor religious component is the pronunciation of takbir while slitting throats. "Allah-hu Akhbar" means "Allah is greater". Shouting it during an attack is one way of instilling terror into their victims.

Islam is not a religion, it is a way of life: intra-species predation. You will not likely come to a full realization of this until you read the Qur'an and hadith. Islam has a religious component, which is used to motivate the attackers and rationalize their depredations.

Pat mentioned another important issue: triumphalism. Islam convinces its acolytes that Allah has promised them victory, that they will conquer and dominate the entire world. Quranic verses contributing to triumphalism include: 2:137, 3:123, 3:125, 3:126, 3:127, 3:160, 5:52, 13:41, 14:15, 17:6, 40:51 and 61:9 . Ibn Kathir's Tafsir confirms the obvious; the titles alone should be sufficient to enlighten the observant reader.

• Good News of abundant Spoils of War
• Good News of continuous Muslim Victories until the Day of Resurrection
• The Good News that Muslims will conquer the Known World, and ultimately the Entire World

In order to promote and perpetuate the wars that provided his income, Moe had Allah command the Muslims to conquer the entire world. The jihad imperatives are found in 8:39 and 9:29. To motivate Muslims to go to war, Moe promised them eternity in a celestial bordello and threatened them with eternal damnation if they refused.

One of Pat's statements stands out above the rest, I want to make sure that you understand it.

Islam does not just endorse violence, it ordains it. Killing and being killed fighting in Allah's cause is the basis of the relationship between Allah and his slaves. Our First Amendment forbids congress from making any law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Misidentification as a religion shields Islam from prohibitive legislation. Jihad, genocide & terrorism are intrinsic sacraments of Islam, it can not be practiced without them. Islamic law requires a minimum of one ghazwat in every year. This is how Al-Shafi'i interpreted that law:

"The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims' interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse."

Why in Hell would a free nation allow that demonic ideology to gain a foothold on its soil?

Construction of Mosques and minarets is symbolic of Islamic Supremacism. Wherever Islam conquers, it tears down temples, supplanting them with Mosques as a symbol of supremacy. To make this issue more clear to you I will quote two provisions of Islamic law from Reliance of the Traveller, Book O, Chapter 11.5, which lists seven restrictions on conquered Jews & Christians.

-5- may not build higher than or as high as the Muslims' buildings, though if they acquire a tall house, it is not razed;

-7- and are forbidden to build new churches.

There is no good reason for accepting this insult. We must rise up and condemn it and the politicians who permit it. Stand up like Pat Condell and let your voice be heard.

Islam: Religion or ?

In a March 19, 2009 opinion piece Demoting Islam's Religion Status published by the New Media Journal, Martel Sobieskey reveals vital information which has been ignored by our elected leaders for too long.

Sobieskey wields a heavy bat and leads off with a powerful swing.

One thing is certain, Islam is not a religion by anything Americans believe one to be - not even close. In fact, Islam is the antithesis of what we deem to be religious.

Dictionary.com reveals the origin of "religion".

• 1150–1200; ME religioun (< class="ital-inline">religion) < class="ital-inline">religiōn- (s. of religiō) conscientiousness, piety, equiv. to relig(āre) to tie, fasten (re- re- + ligāre to bind, tie; cf. ligament ) + -iōn- -ion; cf. rely

Islam meets those tests: it prescribes a set of beliefs & practices and Muslims are bound to Allah in a master:slave relationship. They also provide a main definition of the term.

• a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

Islam meets those tests as well. What tests does Islam fail? Sobieskey does not explicitly name them. In my view, they include these concepts.

1. Benevolent mission.
2. Passive: propagation by persuasion.
3. Universality.

Islam's mission is mercenary: obtaining wealth, income & sex slaves for Moe and his Caliphs. Islam spreads by the sword, not by persuasion. Islamic love & charity are for Muslims only, they do not extend to Kuffar.

Sobieskey has a different way of revealing those truths.

Above all, Islam is a totalitarian political machine of blood thirsty conquest which zealously advocates the downfall of the U.S. government. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world…” because he was 100% non-political. In extreme contrast, Mohammed and the Koran bellicosely command your kingdom is my kingdom, surrender or die!

Certainly that is good reason for excluding Islam from the umbrella of first amendment protection. Martel Sobieskey tells it as it is, clearly stating his conclusions.. He kept the length of his article within reason by stating the conclusions without laying out the full case of evidence upon which they are based. Islamic Supremacism #3

This third episode opens perversely, with a story of Jewish supremacy. Allah made the Jews superior to the surrounding Arabs, but because they rejected Moe, he will bring them lower.

Musa, the son of `Imran, peace be upon him, whom Allah spoke to directly, (perhaps they may reflect.) and avoid Bal`am's behavior, for Allah has given the Jews knowledge and made them superior to the bedouins surrounding them. He gave them the description of Muhammad which would allow them to recognize him, as they recognize their own children. They, among people, have the most right to follow, aid and support Muhammad , in obedience to their Prophets who informed them of him and commanded them to follow him. Therefore, whoever among them defies the knowledge in their Books or hides it from the servants, Allah will place disgrace on him in this life, followed by humiliation in the Hereafter.

Story Bal`am bin Ba`ura

Observe these two tafsir fragments which mention certain followers being made superior.

(55. And (remember) when Allah said: "O `Isa! I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify ﴿save﴾ you from those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute.'' (56. "As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.'') (57. And as for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, Allah will pay them their reward in full. And Allah does not like the wrongdoers.) The Jews Plot to Kill `Isa


(And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute. As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.)

This is what Allah did to the Jews who disbelieved in `Isa and the Christians who went to the extreme over him. Allah tormented them in this life; they were killed, captured, and lost their wealth and kingdoms. Their torment in the Hereafter is even worse and more severe, (And they have no Waq (defender or protector) against Allah) ﴿13:34﴾. (And as for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, Allah will pay them their reward in full) in this life, with victory and domination, and in the Hereafter, with Paradise and high grades, Threatening the Disbelievers with Torment in This Life and the Hereafter

In 3:55, Allah tells Jesus that his followers will be made superior to disbelievers. Both of these tafsir share that expression. Pay close attention to the last two sentences of Threatening the Disbelievers.

1. Who are the "true followers" of Jesus?
2. What happened to the disbelievers?
3. Who did it to them?
4. What reward did Allah give the Muslims in this life?

If you can't answer those second and third questions, review 33:26-27. Here are some highlights from those ayat.

• ...Allah brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives.
• ...He caused you to inherit their lands, and their houses, and their riches, and a land which you had not trodden...

If you can answer the fourth question above, you know the fountainhead of Islamic supremacism: Allah's reward of victory & domination. He made the Jews superior, they wasted their inheritance so he transfered it to the Muslims.

Allah said:

3:139. So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.[ The Wisdom Behind the Losses Muslims Suffered During Uhud]

Now that we have seen the spring from which Islamic supremacism flows, let us examine its consequences. The consequence of Islamic supremacism is that Kuffar are killed, lose their wealth, families, lands and kingdoms. Conquest and everything it carries with it is a consequence of supremacism & triumphalism.

Loss of liberty is one of those consequences. Conquered atheists & pagans are killed or enslaved; "people of the book" are subjugated and extorted. Because Allah is sovereign, he alone has the right to rule, which he delegated to Moe and his Caliphs. Examine the Introduction of Book 20 of Sahih Muslim. I have picked out a few references to the Qur'an.

• 12:40. "You do not worship besides Him but only names which you have named (forged), you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism), that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not.
• 7:3. [Say (O Muhammad ) to these idolaters (pagan Arabs) of your folk:] Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allah), besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember!
• 5:44. Verily, We did send down the Taurat (Torah) [to Musa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah's Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurat (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun (i.e. disbelievers - of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allah's Laws ).
• 24:55. Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

One ayeh distills this down to its essence; lets turn to it now.

• 33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.
  

Allah and his Messenger have the first and final word; their decision is final in any matter; you can't question it and must obey. Moe rules the world.

Are Muslims superior? Where do they obtain that conceit? Examine this hadith from Abu Dawud's collection.

Abu Dawud Book 2, Number 0421:

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal:

We waited for the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) to offer the night prayer. He delayed until people thought that he would not come out and some of us said that he had offered the prayer. At the moment when we were in this condition the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) came out. People said to him as they were already saying. He said: Observe this prayer when it is dark, for by it you have been made superior to all the peoples, no people having observed it before you.

Muslims are superior because of the night prayer. They are better than we are.

This ayeh tells us that no religion can be better than Islam. It does not tell us whether any can be equal to it.

2:138. [Our Sibghah (religion) is] the Sibghah (Religion) of Allah (Islam) and which Sibghah (religion) can be better than Allah's? And we are His worshippers. [Tafsir Ibn Kathir.]

This ayeh tells us that believers are better than disbelievers. It is better to marry off your daughter to a believing slave than to a free Mushrikat.

2:221. And do not marry Al-Mushrikat (idolatresses, etc.) till they believe (worship Allah Alone). And indeed a slave woman who believes is better than a (free) Mushrikah (idolatress, etc.), even though she pleases you. And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikun till they believe (in Allah Alone) and verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater, etc.), even though he pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikun) invite you to the Fire, but Allah invites (you) to Paradise and Forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to mankind that they may remember.

In this quote from Ibn Kathir's Tafsir, we find Moe directing believers to pray that Allah will grant him superiority and send him to be best place in Paradise.

(Whoever, after hearing to the Adhan says, "O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of the regular prayer which is going to be established! Grant Muhammad the Wasilah and superiority and send him ﴿on the Day of Judgment﴾ to the praiseworthy station which You have promised him," then intercession from me will be permitted for him on the Day of Resurrection.) Muslim recorded that `Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As said that he heard the Prophet saying, (When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, repeat what he says, and then ask for Salah (blessing, mercy from Allah) for me. Verily, whoever asks for Salah for me, then Allah will grant ten Salah to him. Then, ask for the Wasilah for me, for it is a grade in Paradise that only one servant of Allah deserves, and I hope that I am that servant. Verily, whoever asks (Allah) for Wasilah for me, he will earn the right of my intercession.) Allah said, Commanding Taqwa, Wasilah, and Jihad

In this tafsir, discussing 3:152, Allah is described as granting superiority over Kuffar. It is clear, in context, that it means military victory. Muslims are superior; they are going to win. This is a token of triumphalism as well as supremacism.

(And Allah did indeed fulfill His promise to you when you were killing them (your enemy) with His permission) meaning, by His command, decree, will and because He granted you superiority over them. Allah's statement, (If they (hypocrites), when they had been unjust to themselves,) directs the sinners and evildoers, when they commit errors and mistakes, to come to the Messenger , so that they ask Allah for forgiveness in his presence and ask him to supplicate to Allah to forgive them. If they do this, Allah will forgive them and award them His mercy and pardon. This is why Allah said, (they would have found Allah All-Forgiving (One Who forgives and accepts repentance), Most Merciful). The Necessity of Obeying the Messenger

In this tafsir, discussing 47:35, he tells the Muslims not to sue for peace while they are winning.

(So do not lose heart) meaning, do not be weak concerning the enemies. (and beg for peace) meaning, compromise, peace, and ending the fighting between you and the disbelievers while you are in a position of power, both in great numbers and preparations. Thus, Allah says, (So do not lose heart and beg for peace while you are superior.) meaning, in the condition of your superiority over your enemy. If, on the other hand, the disbelievers are considered more powerful and numerous than the Muslims, then the Imam (general commander) may decide to hold a treaty if he judges that it entails a benefit for the Muslims. This is like what Allah's Messenger did when the disbelievers obstructed him from entering Makkah and offered him treaty in which all fighting would stop between them for ten years. In his exegeses of 9:33, Ibn Kathir lets it all hang out.

(to make it (Islam) superior over all religions) It is recorded in the Sahih that the Messenger of Allah said, This matter (Islam) will keep spreading as far as the night and day reach, until Allah will not leave a house made of mud or hair, but will make this religion enter it, while bringing might to a mighty person (a Muslim) and humiliation to a disgraced person (who rejects Islam). Might with which Allah elevates Islam (and its people) and disgrace with which Allah humiliates disbelief (and its people).) Tamim Ad-Dari ﴿who was a Christian before Islam﴾ used to say, "I have come to know the meaning of this Hadith in my own people. Those who became Muslims among them acquired goodness, honor and might. Disgrace, humiliation and Jizyah befell those who remained disbelievers.'' Islam is the Religion That will dominate over all Other Religions

Mr. Imm keeps his writing about Islamic supremacism at a high level of abstraction. I wanted to see the details of its source, so I visited www.ask.com and put the question: What causes Islamic supremacism? Jeffrey Imm's articles were at the top of the list.

I also ran a search for Robert Spencer's articles on the subject; this one looked promising:
The American Muslim, terrorism, and Islamic supremacism. He brings out the source of Islamic aggression, but neglects the source of supremacism.

It is not easy to separate supremacism from aggression & triumphalism; they are severely entangled.
Lets visit Ask's Dictionary.com to be sure we are discussing the same thing.

Stipulating for purpose of debate that Islam is a religion, which it really ain't, where would Muslims get the idea that Islam is superior to all other religions? To answer this question, we must turn to the foundation of Islam, Allah's book.

At the time of this writing, quranbrowser.com timed out, so I visited Islamicity and searched Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation for supreme, finding 27 matches.

1. 2:255 Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the supreme (in glory).
2. 4:13 Those are limits set by Allah. those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement.
3. 9:63 Know they not that for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, is the Fire of Hell?- wherein they shall dwell. That is the supreme disgrace.
4. 9:72 Allah hath promised to Believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss. But the greatest bliss is the good pleasure of Allah. that is the supreme felicity.
5. 9:89 Allah hath prepared for them gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein: that is the supreme felicity.
6. 9:100 The vanguard (of Islam)- the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also) those who follow them in (all) good deeds,- well- pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: for them hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that is the supreme felicity.
7. 9:111 Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah. then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.
8. 9:129 But if they turn away, Say: "(Allah) sufficeth me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) supreme!"
9. 10:64 For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.
10. 12:39 "O my two companions of the prison! (I ask you): are many lords differing among themselves better, or the One Allah, supreme and Irresistible?
11. 13:13 Nay, thunder repeateth His praises, and so do the angels, with awe: He flingeth the loud-voiced thunder-bolts, and therewith He striketh whomsoever He will..yet these (are the men) who (dare to) dispute about Allah, with the strength of His power (supreme)!
12. 13:16 Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "(Allah) is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the supreme and Irresistible."
13. 23:86 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) supreme?"
14. 27:26 "(Allah)!- there is no god but He!- Lord of the Throne supreme!"
15. 27:40 Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, supreme in Honour !"
16. 32:21 And indeed We will make them taste of the Penalty of this (life) prior to the supreme Penalty, in order that they may (repent and) return.
17. 36:81 "Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?" - Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)!
18. 37:60 Verily this is the supreme achievement! [Being removed from Hellfire.]
19. 38:65 Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, supreme and Irresistible,-
20. 38:67 Say: "That is a Message supreme (above all),-
21. 44:57 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement!

25. 59:23 Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the supreme: Glory to Allah. (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.
26. 61:12 He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the supreme Achievement.
27. 64:9 The Day that He assembles you (all) for a Day of Assembly,- that will be a Day of mutual loss and gain (among you), and those who believe in Allah and work righteousness,- He will remove from them their ills, and He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that will be the supreme Achievement.

Does it declare Islam supreme? No. It declares Allah supreme in several verses.

If Allah is supreme--the greater, then is not his religion, righly understood & practiced superior?

3:19. Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account.


3:83. Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.

Herein lies the problem; the doctrine of domination. Islam must be maid to dominate the world because Allah said so.

3:55. And (remember) when Allah said: "O 'Iesa (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that 'Iesa (Jesus) is Allah's son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad , 'Iesa (Jesus), Musa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur'an] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute."


9:33. It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it).

22:78. And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), that the Messenger (Muhammad ) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform As­Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), give Zakat and hold fast to Allah [i.e. have confidence in Allah, and depend upon Him in all your affairs] He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper!


48:28. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), that He may make it (Islam) superior over all religions. And All-Sufficient is Allah as a Witness.



61:9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammed ) hate (it).

Notice that in 3:55, Allah tells Jesus that his followers will be superior to the disbelievers. Let us turn to Ibn Kathir's Tafsir for elaboration which will clarify this matter.

Throughout this time, the Christians had the upper hand and dominated the Jews. Allah aided them against the Jews because they used to be closer to the truth than the Jews, even though both groups were and still are disbelievers, may Allah's curse descend on them.

When Allah sent Muhammad , those who believed in him also believed in Allah, His Angels, Books and Messengers in the correct manner. So they were the true followers of every Prophet who came to earth. They believed in the unlettered Prophet , the Final Messenger and the master of all mankind, who called them to believe in the truth in its entirety. This is why they had more right to every Prophet than his own nation, especially those who claim to follow their Prophet's way and religion, yet change and alter his religion. Furthermore, Allah abrogated all the laws that were sent down to the Prophets with the Law He sent Muhammad with, which consists of the true religion that shall never change or be altered until the commencement of the Last Hour. Muhammad's religion shall always be dominant and victorious over all other religions. This is why Allah allowed Muslims to conquer the eastern and western parts of the world and the kingdoms of the earth. Furthermore, all countries submitted to them; they demolished Kisra (king of Persia) and destroyed the Czar, ridding them of their treasures and spending these treasures for Allah's sake. All this occurred just as their Prophet told them it would, when he conveyed Allah's statement,

(Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion which He has chosen for them. And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they worship Me and do not associate anything with Me.) ﴿24:55﴾.

Therefore, Muslims are the true believers in `Isa. The Muslims then acquired Ash-Sham from the Christians, causing them to evacuate to Asia Minor, to their fortified city in Constantinople. The Muslims will be above them until the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, he, Muhammad , who is truthful and who received the true news, has conveyed to Muslims that they will conquer Constantinople in the future, and seize its treasures.[Altering the Religion of `Isa]

From 9:33, 22:78, 48:28 and 61:9 we learn that Allah sent Moe to make his word superior. If you read the context in Surah As Saff, you will discover that the meaning is military: Islam is to dominate by force of arms. What did we learn from the tafsir?

• Christians had the upper hand and dominated the Jews.
• Allah aided them against the Jews
• Muslims are the true followers of every Prophet who came to earth.
• Muhammad's religion shall always be dominant and victorious.
• allowed Muslims to conquer
• Muslims are the true believers in `Isa.
• The Muslims will be above them until the Day of Resurrection.
• That they will conquer Constantinople.

We discover what makes Islam dangerous to mankind: the convergence of supremacism, triumphalism & militarism.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 65:

Narrated Abu Musa:

A man came to the Prophet and asked, "A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet said, "He who fights that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause."

Allah's cause is to make Islam dominate the world by military force. Allah is supreme because he is the only deity; creator of everything in existence. Islam is superior because it is 'Allah's religion'. Islam is uncorrupted, other texts have been altered, denigrating their authenticity & authority.

9:111 informs us that the Muslim's contract with Allah is the supreme achievement. 61:11 reveals the meaning of that contract.

61:11 . That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!
