Blogburst: Alan Keyes against the Flight 93 memorial

Alec Rawls sent out another blogburst, updating the protest planned for Saturday September 11, 2010. Unfortunately I got behind in reading my email and neglected it.

As previously promised, Alec included an image of  his newspaper advertisement and a link to the pdf file which you can print and mount on  poster board or in  a window.

Please do whatever you can to  stop the erection of a symbol of Islamic triumphalism at the crash site!

Blogburst logo, petitionAlan Keyes, logo-sizeConservative hero Alan Keyes is asking whether there is a pattern of submission surrounding the nation's 9/11 sites. Apparently he has seen our video expose of Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the crescent memorial to Flight 93 (now called a broken circle). Like any straight-thinker, he doesn't like what he sees. The Flight 93 crash site is no place for a giant Islamic-shaped crescent, no matter what it is called. On this point, Keyes cites Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo's 2005 objection to the newly unveiled Crescent of Embrace design:
Back in 2005, then-Rep. Tom Tancredo was reported to have sent a letter to the National Park Service "asking the Interior Department to reconsider the crescent-shaped design of the memorial to those aboard a plane hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001, because some may think it honors the terrorists." Tancredo quite sensibly argues that "regardless of whether 'the invocation of a Muslim Symbol' was intentional, 'it seems that such a symbol is unsuitable for paying appropriate tribute to the heroes of Flight 93 or the ensuing American struggle against radical Islam.'"
Keyes notes our claim that the design is still replete with terrorist memorializing features and he seems to find it credible. Why shouldn't he? The damning features are all right there in architect Paul Murdoch's design drawings. Thank you Doctor Keyes! "It’s not just embarrassing. It is a dangerous willful blindness, spurning the woken vigilance of Flight 93." That's the last line of the full-page advertisement that Tom Burnett Senior and Alec Rawls will be running in the Somerset Daily American this Friday and Saturday (when the two first ladies will be in town for the 9/11 anniversary): It_was-terrible_9-11-10_x250pxClick for legible image. Full ad-copy PDF here (large file warning). We are hoping that visitors will hold onto our ad, maybe even tape it to their car windows, and most especially, show it to any press people they come across. Hey, if the Park Service can use 9/11 to plant the world's largest mosque on the Flight 93 crash site, we can use 9/11 to object. To join our blogburst against the crescent mosque, just send your blog's url.

Why I Will Not Support Newt Gingrich

The ex Speaker of the House exposed his hypocrisy in an article at Human Events. I thank my friend theway2k for posting a link to the Gingrich screed in
Who is at War with America?

On Terrorism it's Time to Know, to Profile, and to Discriminate by Newt Gingrich 12/30/2009

We know our opponents are radical extremists of the irreconcilable wing of Islam (Islamists, some would call them).

We know they have an ideology which is anti-female, desires to impose fundamentalist Sharia as a form of law, is hostile to other religions and is prepared to kill the innocent to achieve their goals.

Like G.W. Bush, John McCain, Hillary Clinton & Barack Obama, Newt knows something that is untrue. Our opponent is Islam. Islam's canon of scripture, tradition & jurisprudence contains demonic injunctions to make war upon disbelievers. Islamic aggression flows directly from its scripture, tradition & jurisprudence. Islam is fundamentally and irreversibly incompatible with liberty & democracy.

Islam is paternalistic & misogynistic by design. Global imposition of Shari'ah is part of the grand design, not an innovation. Islam is not just hostile to Judaism, Christianity & Zoroastrianism, it is engaged in perpetual warfare against them.

Newt's article included seven thematic headings which deserve some attention.
  • Our Politically Correct Government is Making Life More Miserable For the Innocent
It is true, p.c. policy imposes a great burden on innocent travelers and puts them at risk.
  • It’s Time to Be Honest About What We Know
Really, its long overdue. But the quotes included above indicate that Newt is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
  • Protecting the Rights of Terrorists Has Been More Important than Protecting the Lives of Americans
While that statement appears strident at first glance, it is an understatement. Three thousand lives might have been saved if the investigators had properly inspected the contents of one terrorist's computer. We need to scan, interrogate and search Muslims, not innocent citizens. Careful background checks are needed to identify them well in advance.
  • The United States Must Actively Root Out Every Terrorist Website
I don't believe it is possible to root them out, and I am not convinced that it is desirable. As soon as one is pulled down, they'll replace it with another. Those sites can serve as a source of actionable intelligence if properly exploited.
  • We Need a “Grand National Strategy” That is Bigger Than the Debate Over Afghanistan
We needed a strategy eight years ago. We needed to honestly identify the enemy first. That need has not been met yet.
  • The New Honesty Should End Any Thought of a Civilian Trial in New York for KSM
If there was any new honesty, it would come too late to derail that trial. But there is no new honesty, and it is unlikely that there ever will be official honesty concerning Islam and terrorism.
  • We Need a New Homeland Security Secretary Who Knows We Need a New Strategy
That is a grand statement of the obvious. But we also need a Commander In Chief with the same knowledge. Newt Gingrich has identified a real need: official honesty in identifying and characterizing the enemy. But instead of promoting it, he has continued the politically correct practice of implying that mythical 'radical extremists' are the cause of terrorism.

In reality, believers of orthodox Islamic doctrine are responsible for terrorism. The Qur'an commands Jihad imperatives which require perpetual war. Those imperatives are in 8:39, 8:60, 9:29 & 9:123. Those imperatives are confirmed by hadith including Sahih Bukhari 1.8.387. Those imperatives are codified into Islamic law in Reliance of the Traveler O9.8 & O9.9. Terrorism is sanctified in 3:151, commanded in 8:12, exemplified in 33:26 and confirmed in Sahih Bukhari 4.52.220. The new honesty Newt calls for involves acknowledging the fatal fact documented in this paragraph. It is extremely unlikely that any candidate for high office will fully engage in such honesty.

Any politician who publicly identifies Islam as the source of Islamic terrorism and genocidal Jihad will be labeled racist & bigot. Which one of them has the SISU required to state the facts and pound home the proof? Who can withstand the Islamic & Democrat Party propaganda mills and mainstream media? We have two years in which to find such a hero. It appears that Newt is not the one. Sarah Palin has already proved herself too p.c. My bet is on Tom Tancredo.

Tancredo: UN GET OUT!

Cross posted from Monkey in the Middle

Hat tip to No Compromise When it Comes to Being Right

I'm beginning to really love this man.

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton, CO) is beginning to look like a true leader for the House of Representatives. First it was his anti-Shar'ia legislation that he introduced to the US Congress and now it is this.
U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) introduced legislation today that would effectively move the United Nations headquarters out of the United States. The legislation is being introduced amid incessant anti-American and anti-Jewish political grandstanding from the podium of the General Assembly.

“The U.N. has coddled brutal dictators, anti-Semites, state sponsors of terrorism, and nuclear proliferators – while excluding democratic countries from membership and turning a blind eye to humanitarian tragedies and gross violations of human rights around the globe,” Tancredo said. “The U.N.’s continued presence in the United States is an embarrassment to our nation, and the time has come for this ineffective organization to pack its bags and hit the road.”

Tancredo’s bill, dubbed the U.N. Eviction Act, would direct Attorney General Michael Mukasey to initiate condemnation proceedings against all United Nations properties within the United States, and sell the property to the highest bidder on the open market. The proceeds will be given to the Treasury Department to pay down the national debt. The bill would also bar the future purchase of property in the United States or U.S. territories by the U.N. or any of its agencies, and revokes the diplomatic privileges and immunities that U.N. officials and representatives currently enjoy.

“I refuse to sit idly by while Americans are forced to host Islamofascist dictators, like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, so they can spew anti-American rhetoric just blocks from Ground Zero,” Tancredo continued.

The organization has also become little more than a rubber stamp for Chinese and Russian foreign policy initiatives – blocking membership by the democratic nation of Taiwan in the world body, and failing to take any meaningful steps to halt the ongoing genocide in Sudan or the illicit nuclear programs in North Korea and Iran.

“If the U.N. is so keen to accommodate the foreign policy demands of rogue nations and dictatorships, perhaps the world body might be more comfortable relocating to one,” concluded Tancredo. “I’m sure Ban Ki-Moon will have no trouble securing a new location in downtown Pyongyang or Tehran.”
It is high time that the United States pull out of that Tower of Babel and reject all ideas coming from its walls. The ground (after a good decontamination clean-up) could be turned into a more useful and rewarding place. Low cost housing, a new school, a hospital or even a park. There the people of New York would not have to put up with the likes of Hugo Chavez or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Just think of the happy dogs roaming in a lovely park, doing their business where once these men spoke their words of hatred.

Another good result in leaving the UN would be the billions of US taxpayer dollars that we would save each year. Money that has been used for corruption and greed by the UN since the 1960's. This money could better be used to help reduce the US Debt.

The City of New York would benefit the most. For their taxpayers are forced to pay extra to have the honor of hosting the UN. Instead they would no longer have to foot the bill for the extra police needed when the UN General Assembly meets or when one or another of these diplomats (and I use that term loosely) decides not to pay parking tickets, have car insurance, commits a crime or any other offense that they are known to do.

Way to go Congressman Tancredo. This nation needs more men and women in the Congress with your ideas and beliefs.

Anti-sharia legislation proposed

Cross posted from Monkey in the Middle

Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton, CO), pictured right, has proposed legislation that would prevent Shar'ia Law from becoming legally binding in the US. This bill would also deny U.S. visas to advocates of ‘Sharia’ law, expel Islamists already here.
WASHINGTON, DC – Amid disturbing revelations that the verdicts of Islamic Sharia courts are now legally binding in civil cases in the United Kingdom, U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) moved quickly today to introduce legislation designed to protect the United States from a similar fate.

According to recent news reports, a new network of Sharia courts in a half-dozen major cities in the U.K. have been empowered under British law to adjudicate a wide variety of legal cases ranging from divorces and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.

“This is a case where truth is truly stranger than fiction,” said Tancredo. “Today the British people are learning a hard lesson about the consequences of massive, unrestricted immigration.”

Sharia law, favored by Muslim extremists around the world, often calls for brutal punishment – such as the stoning of women who are accused of adultery or have children out of wedlock, cutting off the hands of petty thieves and lashings for the casual consumption of alcohol. Under Sharia law, a woman is often required to provide numerous witnesses to prove rape allegations against an assailant – a near impossible task.

“When you have an immigration policy that allows for the importation of millions of radical Muslims, you are also importing their radical ideology – an ideology that is fundamentally hostile to the foundations of western democracy – such as gender equality, pluralism, and individual liberty,” said Tancredo. “The best way to safeguard America against the importation of the destructive effects of this poisonous ideology is to prevent its purveyors from coming here in the first place.”

Tancredo’s bill, dubbed the “Jihad Prevention Act,” would bar the entry of foreign nationals who advocate Sharia law. In addition, the legislation would make the advocacy of Sharia law by radical Muslims already in the United States a deportable offense.

Tancredo pointed to the results of a recent poll conducted by the Centre for Social Cohesion as evidence that the U.S. should act to prevent the situation in Great Britain from replicating itself here in the United States. The poll found that some 40 percent of Muslim students in the United Kingdom support the introduction of Sharia law there, and 33 percent support the imposition of an Islamic Sharia-based government worldwide.

We need to send a clear message that the only law we recognize here in America is the U.S. Constitution and the laws passed by our democratically elected representatives,” concluded Tancredo. “If you aren’t comfortable with that concept, you aren’t welcome in the United States.
From Monkey in the Middle:

I expect to see CAIR and the ACLU start challenges to this bill the minute it is signed into law. And if the Supreme Court has a majority of liberals on it (as it would under Barack Hussein Obama) then not only will this be thrown out but Shar'ia Law and No-Go Zones will become Standard. But if John McCain wins in November, the court will uphold this law.

The stakes this November are very high. For an Obama win is a win for Jihadists everywhere. Is a win for those who will (not might) destroy the very fabric of our society and place instead an Islamic regime, headed by a Muslim: Barack Hussein Obama.
