Happy Global Orgasm Day

~Snooper~

I will be SO happy when this generation of idiots die off. This is indeed bizarre but, Hat Tip to Fox News.
Oui! Si! Da! Ja! Yes!

Any way you scream it, one group hopes you'l be having an orgasm in the name of world peace this Friday at 6:08 GMT.

At the exact moment of the winter solstice, the world is urged to get busy at the second annual Global Orgasm for World Peace.

People across the world - but especially in countries with "weapons of mass destruction and places where violence is used in place of medication" - are being asked to synchronize their orgasms, according to the group's Web site.

This group session of sexual healing, aka The Big O, is designed to be an "instantaneous surge of human biological, mental and spiritual energy" that organizers hope will reduce levels of violence, hatred and fear around the world during this, the longest night of the year.

Global Orgasm is the brain child of Donna Sheehan and Paul Reffell, co-founders of the anti-war organization Baring Witness, a group of activists who strip to make public peace displays with their naked bodies.

We see how well it worked in '06, correct? Idiot morons.
WHO? All Men and Women, you and everyone you know.

WHERE? Everywhere in the world, but especially in countries with weapons of mass destruction and places where violence is used in place of mediation.

WHEN? Solstice Day - December 22, at 06:08 Universal Time (GMT)

WHY? To effect positive change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible instantaneous surge of human biological, mental and spiritual energy.

Like I said...idiot morons.

Damn hippies.

Irrelevant Kerry Calls GWB Irrelevant

~Snooper~

I about spewed perfectly good coffee upon my screen when this popped up into the Reader.

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass) slammed the Bush administration on Wednesday for its reluctance to take bold action on climate change, but the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee added that the White House does not represent the view of the American people on the issue.

Kerry, who just returned from the climate negotiations in Bali, Indonesia, at which he represented Congress, criticized the Bush administration for standing in the way of a stronger agreement on the issue. The senator stated, however, that the opportunities of this White House to stand in the way of action are dwindling.

"The world needs to know: This White House doesn't represent the American people today, and it cannot represent America's policy beyond January 2009," Kerry said, pointing to state and local efforts to address climate change.

"The reality is, the Bush White House is increasingly irrelevant to any future agreement," the senator added in a speech at the Center for American Progress Action Fund.

Kerry said that, despite the administration's efforts, the so-called "Bali roadmap" makes progress on the issue. [...]
I guess this is one more prime example of the insignificance of this dunce...the once upon a time Presidential Aspirant. Thank God he lost. Pot? Meet Kettle. Moron.

The Myth of Global Warming and the promoters of that Myth are the insignificant ones and the irrelevant ones.

Get over it. We have articles here and here revealing the Myth of Global Warming. Kerry is merely falling for a chance to Bash Bush due to the lethality of BDS.

The Sins of the Lame Stream Media

~Snooper~

No matter the subject, there is always a "but". Straight shooting reporting has as all but vanished from the pages and screens of the once Main Stream Media. No, longer do we hear the "straight skinny" on any story unless the object of the story or, the subject of the story is hated or at a minimum, disliked for whatever reason. Gone are the once "worshiped" Ethics of Journalism: I will place the preamble in this post and will include the headings for the rest.
Preamble
Members of the Society of Professional Journalists believe that public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy. The duty of the journalist is to further those ends by seeking truth and providing a fair and comprehensive account of events and issues. Conscientious journalists from all media and specialties strive to serve the public with thoroughness and honesty. Professional integrity is the cornerstone of a journalist's credibility. Members of the Society share a dedication to ethical behavior and adopt this code to declare the Society's principles and standards of practice.

Seek Truth and Report It

Minimize Harm

Act Independently

Be Accountable

In all areas, the alleged Main Stream Media sorely fails in all regards.

In these modern times of instant gratification and information at our fingertips, there is no viable explanation as to why whenever there is good news to report, it goes largely ignored in the hopes that it will be over-shadowed by any amount of bad news which can be scrounged up.
[...] Why is it that the Democrats ad the MSM won't acknowledge this? Could it be that they have a vested interest in losing? The MSM, because that is how they have sold it, and the Democrats, because that is how they got elected...Both the MSM and the Democrats worked in tandem to get the message out: We will not be successful in Iraq. When evidence points to the contrary, silence, or people who should have remained silent or fired. When will this cone of silence be lifted? Could this be what Kristol was talking about? [...]

There are thousands of examples of the Lame Stream being "Rather" lame in their reporting. It stems from never having to be pressured to report the Real Deal. It stems from never having to be accountable to anyone before The New Media came into being.

NBC still chirps to the tune of their moppets that Iraq is still in a civil war. I guess they don't know what the definition of a civil war "IS". Go here for a piece I wrote some time ago. Therein, one will find the exact definitions of "civil war".

There never seems to be a balance in the current and modern day stories. It seems the once Main Stream dwell upon and wallow in negativities and a "woe is me" aura. We all know that there is Bad News as well as Good News. What is the harm in printing or airing both? Printing or airing one side to any story certainly violates the Ethics of Journalism. It leads one to believe that a prerequisite to be a journalist is to be unethical, biased and perform slanted reporting...just like our very own CONgress.

This sickness in the media isn't limited to the American Media...not by a long shot. The Guardian rarely if ever gets any story right the first time...just like TNR. Remember TNR?

Ray Robison says Good News from Iraq gets mauled by the NYT on a regular basis. Why is that? What harm is there to report on the Good News? What journalistic gravitas is there to dwell on Bad News and negativity? Isn't negativity against the mantra of Political Correctness?

Lynn Davidson reports on the incredulous Dishonest Journalists Award. Why does this even have to be? If journalists would be journalists and not the mouth pieces for their moppets, topics as this need not be.

The ethics of journalism has become the unethical misrepresentation of truth, justice and the American Way...at least here in the States. As I said earlier, unethical journalism isn't limited to the United States...it takes place in Canada as well.

Atlas Shrugs claims that the disease of journalistic ethical nose-dive into lies, deceit and more lies, is due to BDS. The nose-dive is also due to "former MSM" types forming "independent" leftist blogs. Some journalists so-called are very much and deeply invested in defeat for America due to their hatred of what this country stands for. If they don't like this country and what she stands for, I am with Mike Ditka...get the hell out and don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out. Stop trying to change the country to suit your desires and wants when the majority of Americans demand the Traditional America to remain in tact.

Thank God for the milbloggers.

There is no viable reason and/or cause for the News Media to NOT talk and/or write or report on Iraq because the news is too good. This is an unethical practice and it infuriates me to no end and the old adage of "Bad news sells" is no longer acceptable. The only ones, or so it seems, that love to hear the bad news for America are the old hippies that haven't died off yet.

The LATimes committed an atrocity against the United States in regards to Military Families and the story was shown to be false...no apologies or retractions came forward. That was a clear violation of the Ethics of Journalism.

I have written extensively on this subject and it still never ceases to amaze me how many people tell me that such and such is so and true because it is in the newspaper on the evening news shows. We have shown that the vast majority of the journalists so-called give "liberally" to the DNC and their writings bolster that party time and time again...another clear violation of the Ethics of Journalism. I don't care who they give to...just report fairly and without the editorializing within the reports.

More journalistic insanity here, here, here, here, and here.

REPUBLICANS APPEAR IN BETTER SHAPE THAN EVEN I THOUGHT

It is no secret that I hate the Democratic party with the depth of 20 oceans and the white, hot intensity of a thousand suns. Smarmy, sociopathic, traitorous, lying bottom feeders. That being said, I do pride myself on objectivity in my prognosticating and that has led to an amazing rate of accuracy. In the last 15 years, my singular miss was 2006 and that was by a mere few thousand votes out of 80+ million. Simply stated, I am a legend. I don't mind saying so.

Scanning the polls, I remain cautiously optimistic that, as long as we don't muff it by nominating a boob like Rudy Giuilliani, the GOP stands a good chance of holding the White House. This is particularly true with a rapidly improving Iraq situation.

Nevertheless, there are some problem areas. Yet, they may not be quite as problematic as I thought.

In winning 2008, I pretty much thought we would have to turn Michigan or Pennsylvania because we appeared to be toast in Ohio. This amazing polling show that the leading Dems are not exactly setting the world afire in the Buckeye State.

If the Dems can't beat us in Ohio, they can't beat us. Bank it. That is just a fact.

SING IT FRED BARNES

~Snooper~

An astonishing turnaround occurred in the Senate onTuesday: 70 senators voted to fund the Iraq war with a fresh $70 billion and no strings attached. Think about this a moment. Last winter, after Democrats captured the Senate and House, it seemed likely they'd succeed in limiting or ending the Iraq war, probably by setting a firm timetable for withdrawal of American troops. After all, both President Bush and the war itself were highly unpopular. The Democratic triumph in the election made that clear, even to those who doubted opinion polls. And Democrats made the anti-Iraq crusade their top priority in the new Congress. Now, the 70-vote approval of the war by the Senate represents the breathtaking dimension of their failure.

Please Do Not Feed The Trolls

~Snooper~

I "found" the following while experiencing the adventures of the moonbat realm at Digital Journal. The trolls are fairly thick over there but they are totally dispensable with facts and wit. The moonbats certainly are not worthy of A Newt One commentary but, an author over there, a moderate and now a member of our Group of Conservative Bloggers, has keen input and the articles the author pens is worthy of study. I had a brain spasm and have lost the link to the authors' blog. As soon as I obtain their link, I will post it and link-back accordingly that which I "found"...enjoy.

Poor trolls. LMAO!!

Moonbat Intelligence - The Myth

~Snooper~

What drives the Leftinistra and their moppets called Moonbats? Simplifying the answer, via the shortened version is BDS. Many moons ago back in January 2007, the Strategy Page posted a relevant piece, revealing that which we already knew but placed in a one-stop shop. The lauded piece is entitled "Top 10 Myths of The Iraq War". (HT to Dr Sanity)

One will need to visit the link provided to read the ill-fated and now defunct and debunked verbiage. I'll not waste key strokes placing the verbiage here.

MYTH ONE
No Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)
Not to beleaguer the reader with a plethora of "We told you so" verbiage, access the page linked and read the whole report that the Leftinistra will not accept. I will, however, start the education process. The WMD issue was and is still very real:

Finally, there are some definitive answers to the mystery of the missing WMD. Civilian volunteers, mostly retired intelligence officers belonging to the non-partisan IntelligenceSummit.org, have been poring over the secret archives captured from Saddam Hussein. The inescapable conclusion is this: Saddam really did have WMD after all, but not in the way the Bush administration believed. A 9,000 word research paper with citations to each captured document has been posted online at LoftusReport.com, along with translations of the captured Iraqi documents, courtesy of Mr. Ryan Mauro and his friends.

This Iraqi document research has been supplemented with satellite photographs and dozens of interviews, among them David Gaubatz who risked radiation exposure to locate Saddam's underwater WMD warehouses , and John Shaw, whose brilliant detective work solved the puzzle of where the WMD went. Both have contributed substantially to solving one of the most difficult mysteries of our decade. [...]
On top of the "banned weapons" and "associated equipment" found in Iraq during the progression of the War In Iraq, John Loftus and the myriad of investigators are still working out the details.

MYTH TWO
The 2003 Invasion was Illegal
This is the classic "prove me wrong" rhetoric which is entirely baseless and fraudulent in the very premise of the ill-fated argument. A State of War between Iraq and The United States was still in affect since the cease-fire "agreement" in 1991. Before the Persian Gulf War ever began against the occupiers of Kuwait, the President received the proper authorization to drive Saddam from Kuwait. One can conclude that it was a "legal op". The cease-fire agreement was negotiated and a State of War existed until such a time that Saddam fully complied. He never did and continually fired on Coalition Forces for nearly 12 years which redsulted in UN Resolution 1441. Hence, the "legality" of the war is a moot point.

MYTH THREE
Sanctions were working
Yes, and I am the King of Siam. One would have to be a mental midget to think that and the proof is in the multiple UN Resolutions violated and gone widely ignored by Saddam. Des the scandal known as Oil For Food ring a bell? A Texan mans has recently been convicted of that scandal, by the way. I suppose GWB conspired that one as well, eh?
MYTH FOUR

Overthrowing Saddam Only Helped Iran
Another logical fallacy and no one has come up with a viable example to support the claim. Iran has taken advantages yes and as been perpetrating Acts Of War against the United States internal of Iraq. Our cowards in DC are spineless to do anything about that, however.
MYTH FIVE

The Invasion Was a Failure
Well, tell that to the People of Iraq these days. Perhaps the Leftinistra should pay more attention to reality. Even Murtha disagrees.
MYTH SIX

The Invasion Helped Al Qaeda
To do what? Self-destruct as they have? OBL in recent months has conceded defeat and as AQ did in Afghanistan as we trounced AQ and the Taliban - leaving a few behind to carry on the battle and move on - so it is now. Just in case no one has been paying attention. The fighting has relocated to Afghanistan and Pakistan. I find it increasingly difficult to comprehend why the moonbats hang onto this pathetic argument.
MYTH SEVEN

Iraq Is In A State of Civil War
Again, peace is breaking out all over Iraq.

MYTH EIGHT
Iraqis Were Better Off Under Saddam
This argument is so retarded I won't dignify it with the obvious to the oblivious.
MYTH NINE

The Iraq War Caused Islamic Terrorism to Increase in Europe
See MYTH EIGHT answer.
MYTH TEN

The War in Iraq is Lost
See MYTH SEVEN answer. This is a no brainer if one has been paying attention for the last 9 months.

The Leftinistra are a sorry lot. Their moonbat moppets are even worse.

Dr Sanity goes on to explain pretty much the Pathology involved that drive the moonbats and the Leftinistra. The first three paragraphs will be placed here but you have to go read the other 20+ or so.
The fact that Iraq has sort of dropped off the radar of both the MSM and the Democrats should tell you how fast both are retreating from their original talking points. They know that promoting defeat at this point in time is a losing stance for them in 2008--except of course, for the lunatic fringe of their base. Meanwhile, Bush's poll numbers seem to be rising, much to Democrat's dismay...and their own Congressional approval rating hovers near record lows.

The Democrats and the left live (and die) by polls. Popularity means everything to them. Other people's opinions are the foundation of all their "principled" stands on issues--so watch for a significant shift in their principles in the days to come.

But let's not deceive ourselves. Such a shift would not indicate any real alteration of their unbelievable self-induced blindness and utter refusal to acknowledge the realities of Islamic fanaticism and the war on terror. To do that would require a fundamental re-assessment of their socialist/leftist/PC ideology itself. [...]

Can I hear an AMEN? I could have sworn that I wrote those three paragraphs!!

Moonbat intelligence -- an oxymoron.

William Jefferson Clinton Redefines the Term "Liar"

~Snooper~

Thank God for the internet that Gore made! A special transcript can be found at Newsbusters.

The former (thank God) President, Bill Clinton, "didn't keep all of his speeches" but, some of us have and, we, The Rabid Right Wing Steam Rollers know how to "Google It". This tid-bit is just too much. Today, on the CBS Early Show with Harry Smith, a softball interview with Bill Clinton went south.
Harry Smith said, "When you were in Muscatine a week and a half or so ago, right, and said, I've always been against this, speaking about the Iraq war, I did a little Googling last night, and the best I could tell was you said the weapons inspectors should be allowed to do their jobs."
That's the best this asshat could do? No wonder the Lame Stream Media is in such shambles! Here, at A Newt One, we will do what the Lame Stream should be doing. we have, at our beckon call, the internet that Gore made therein, all manner OF "things" can be found. We "Googled It" and found...GASP! Bill Clinton LIED!! This is Clinton's answer, like it was the truth or something:

Look, I said something like that a hundred times. I supported threatening Saddam so we could do the inspections. The mistake we made was not letting the inspections finish. If they had, there would have been no war. And I was always against doing it without the inspections. As you pointed out, most of my speeches weren't getting covered by the press and we didn't copy them or anything back then. But we do have several records, including one six days before the invasion, where I said, I don't think they should do this until the inspections finished. That was the deal. And, if we'd done it, there would have been no war.
Now, ain't that sweet? The problem is...it is a lie. And, we do know what "IS" is.

President Clinton addresses THE Joint Chiefs of Staff: 2/17/1998
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear: We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program. We have to defend our future from these predators of the twenty-first century. They'll be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen. There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein.
OOPS! Then, there is always this: 4/16/2003

"Saddam is gone, and good riddance," former President Clinton said yesterday. Clinton also said Bush should not be faulted if banned weapons of mass destruction aren't found. Said the president, "I don't think you can criticize the president for trying to act on the belief that they have a substantial amount of chemical and biological stock. That is what I was always told."
WHAT? That is what he had always been told? Was that a slip of ye ole tongue? Is that the data Sandy Burglar Berger stole? WHAT? Bats in the belfry and the sound of crickets.

5/18/2003 Speech: Remarks at Tougaloo College Commencement
I supported the president when he asked the Congress for authority to stand up against weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
OOPS! I wonder if the salary Harry Smith is receiving is commensurate with his inability to "Google It". If his pay is any more than $2 per year, heads should roll. Try this: Google Bill Clinton and Iraq War...let me know what you come up with. K?

One more out of about 1.5M...Time Magazine, 6/28/2004
So you're sitting there as president, you're reeling in the aftermath of 9/11, so, yeah, you want to go get Bin Laden and do Afghanistan and all that, but you also have to say, well, my first responsibility now is to try everything possible to make sure that this terrorist network and other terrorist networks cannot reach chemical and biological weapons or small amounts of fissile material. I gotta do that. That's why I supported the Iraq thing.
The Iraq thing? The Iraq thing? I cannot believe that he would actually say that. The Iraq thing. I never want to hear any more whining about GWB's pronunciation problems or quips about his Texas swagger. The Iraq thing?

The man is a pathological liar. No ifs ands or buts. The Clintons are the Darlings of The Media and always have been. They represent the epitome of socialistic America so richly pined after and lustfully desirous to bring to the United States.

Over. My. Dead. Body.

A note from El Rushbo:
[...] He just got away with lying again on the CBS Early Show because their researchers couldn't find anything other than Clinton talking about weapons inspectors when they Googled. I find it just breathtaking, folks, I do, at how incompetent the Drive-By Media is. They can't do anything right, and they don't want to. They don't want to get it right where the Clintons are concerned. [...]
Dittos.

A while ago, others were chatting about this at memeorandum and at Captain Ed's.

WASHINGTON - Like many Soldiers deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, Soldiers from the Oregon National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry brought their personal cameras to Iraq during their deployment in 2004. They snapped photos of each other firing weapons, shot video of explosives they detonated and logged plenty of footage of their own commentaries intermixed with Soldier humor.

AL ASAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AFPN) - Airmen are improving the lives and operating conditions of Marines by constructing more than $9.8 million in aircraft shelters, taxiways and temporary shelters at Al Asad Air Base.

AL TAQADDUM, Iraq - The AN/TSQ-120B is a temporary air traffic control tower used by Marines in expeditionary operations until a more sturdy structure can be built. Although designed for just 90 days of continual use, the one at Al Taqaddum Air Base has seen more than its share of sorties since it was raised during the early stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Dems, Rocks and Hard Places

~Snooper~

Once upon a time, in a place not very familiar to many Americans and, even obscured from view from most of the world, there is a place called the United States Senate. Close in proximity, is a place called the United States House of Representatives. Both establishments have, in the past, performed the bidding of a now obscure band of citizens, referenced to in archaic documents as "We The People". Not any longer. Through the decades, a sickness from the morphing of Political Correctness, Multiculturalism and Identity Politics into the Political Farce of American Politics, orchestrated by emotionally unstable influences, has caused a condition that requires certain politicians to rely heavily on Weather Vane Decision Accountability and Authority.

This condition has so permeated itself into the framework of American Politics that if anything gets accomplished, it is only due to Blind Luck and not Reasoned Thought. Such shameful attributes are lauded as the status quo and the ins and outs can be blamed on weather vanes. This gives way to the condition of Microwave Mentality...if life and/or results of any undertaking doesn't happen within a prescribed or preconceived period of time, the effort is deemed as untenable from the beginning and is condemned to scrutiny stemming from the lethality of hindsight.

A long, long, long time ago, way back on October 11, 2002, the United States Senate, in a vote of 77 to 23, a vast majority of Senators, approved of an obscure document called the Iraq War Resolution. In a vote of 296 to 133, a vast majority of Representatives, the United States House of Representatives passed the Iraq War Resolution, giving the President of The United States authority to "wage war".

The wind direction of that time was blowing in a certain direction. As anyone knows or, should know, wind directions change from time to time. Also, it is also common knowledge, among those that know, that "war directions" also change from time to time - not as often as the direction of the wind - but it changes all the same.

On 91101, the United States was stunned, shocked, confused and angry. We were attacked on our home turf and I had an odd chuckle at that expression; home turf. Our Embassies across the globe ARE American Soil and they were also attacked and have been attacked since 1979. The age-old saying of "this could never happen to us" was eternally shattered. I suppose the difference was this; the events of 91101 took place on American Soil Proper. War was in the air. Someone was going to pay. The problem was, the people that attacked this country, died in the Act Of War against us. So, who was to pay? It was determined that Al Qaida, a terrorist cabal, was to pay.

On 91201, there was talk from all corners of the Nation of retaliation. The once Main Stream Media lauded that as well and Retaliation was in the air. The general perception was a Country United. For the most part, this was true. In actuality, however, this was not the case. Some seem to forget about the groups of people that believed before 91101, on 91101, and after 91101 that every woe on our globe we call Earth was and is a direct result of The United States of America. Such drivel came to the fore among the American Politik during the 2004 election cycle. The term "WMD" became The Issue.

Using defective and disingenuous reasoning, the Blame America For Everything Crowds have determined that since no WMDs were found in Iraq, they therefore never existed, therefore President Bush knew they did not exist, therefore, President Bush lied. That sort of reasoning is that of an intellectually void individual.

On March 19, 2003, after diplomatic channels were exhausted and Saddam Hussein would not comply with any United Nations Resolutions, military action was launched on Saddam's Iraq. I find the CRS Report for Congress has gone largely ignored by our politicians and have chosen an avenue destructive to their political aspirations. It has also most assuredly gone ignored by the alleged Peace Movements that are nothing of the sort. They are and always have been and always will be anti-Americanist groups, disclosed here and here.
[...] President Bush has repeatedly called for regime change in Iraq. In his speech before the U.N. General Assembly on September 12, 2002, the President emphasized the dangers posed by Iraq's programs to develop WMD and urged the United Nations to live up to its responsibilities by enforcing previous U.N. Security Council resolutions that Iraq has ignored. On October 10 and 11, respectively, the House and Senate passed H.J.Res. 114 (P.L. 107-243), which authorized the President to use the U.S. Armed Forces to defend the national security of the United States against the continuing Iraqi threat and enforce all relevant U.N. Security Council sanctions regarding Iraq. At the international level, on November 8, 2002, the U.N. Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 1441, which imposed a revised and more stringent weapons inspection regime on Iraq, required Iraq to submit a comprehensive declaration of all its WMD programs within 30 days, and warned of "serious consequences" if Iraq failed to cooperate.1 On March 19, 2003 (March 20 Iraq time), President Bush announced that he had launched military operations (known as Operation Iraqi Freedom) "to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger." [...]
The above is a brief snippet of the document and all six pages should be read and studied by all. Carrying on with the mantra of "illegal war" and "United States Constitution violations" is disturbingly absurd, especially since those allegations are simply untrue and have no basis or merit - except perhaps from the emotionally unstable that don't have the capability of sound reasoning and/or fact checking before they begin to ramble. I question their motives and feigned patriotism.

I have written extensively on what I call The Why we went to war with Saddam's Iraq and I also find it curious that President Bush's words are skewed and distorted to such a degree that our politicians cannot return to the original intent(s) of The Why. However, there are three key speeches given by President Bush that are a must read and, they are as follows;
President's Remarks at the United Nations General Assembly, September 12, 2002

President Discusses the Future of Iraq, February 26, 2003

President Says Saddam Hussein Must Leave Iraq Within 48 Hours, March 17, 2003
The above will or, should or, perhaps can, put an end to the idiots decrying the ignorant "illegal war" and similar idiocy.

Another widely ignored report comes from DefenseLink. It is ignored for one reason and one reason only. Blind hatred of President George W Bush. There is no other explanation. Or is there? But first, what constitutes a Weapon of Mass Destruction? Is it a Nuclear Weapon? Is it a Biological Weapon? Is it a Chemical Weapon? Is it a Long-Range Missile?
WASHINGTON, June 29, 2006 - The 500 munitions discovered throughout Iraq since 2003 and discussed in a National Ground Intelligence Center report meet the criteria of weapons of mass destruction, the center's commander said here today. [...]
I already know the answer. Do you?
This brings us to the title of this article.

The Democratic Party Leadership has boxed themselves into a sticky wicket. They have painted themselves into a corner that they cannot get out of without getting "dirty", as it were.

In 2004, the Democratic Party Leadership chose Sen Kerry to oust President Bush. He ran using the WMD issue and lost. He also ran on the credo that GWB "stole" the elections of 2000 and lost. The full onslaught of the Democratic Party Leadership did not fully take hold until the elections of 2006 utilizing their masters in the Leftinistra Press. They built a premise that we were losing the War In Iraq when nothing of the sort was true. The war was going poorly indeed, much in part to a defective ROE, developed and initialized by ignorance and diplomatic screed. We certainly were not losing...there. We were losing here, at home. The only thing similar to the War In Iraq and the Vietnam War were the politicians, the anti-Americanist groups and the American News Media.

The Good News flowing in from the results of the efforts by our troops under the leadership of General David Petraeus, unanimously anointed by the full Senate, is unmistakable and undeniable. Why else are there no more "woe is me" stories in the opening segments of the news hours and leading stories on the front pages? Why have the stories vanished from the alphabet news shows and removed to the back pages of the theoretical leading newspapers?

The Libocrats, both Democrat and Republican, were relying on a quick victory in Iraq much like the quick victory over the Taliban. They were not counting on the aftermath and some claim that there was no exit strategy, assuming this military action as a financial market. Exit strategy comments in regards to a war is indicative of a person and mindset that doesn't understand war and how it changes. Plan A quickly turns into Plan Z, running through the gauntlet of change.

Let us not forget the many now "anti-war" Democrats and Republicans that were once "pro-war" Democrats and Republicans. And, I find it purely disgusting that the politicians would actually invent the terms "anti-war" and "pro-war"...two terms that are so grossly disingenuous is causes my Warrior's Blood to boil. In these modern times, in this particular point in time, the only ones I know that are "pro-war" are the Jihadis. the proper terms are "anti-victory" and "pro-victory" and, this is why.

The Democratic Party Leadership in particular and the Fraud Republicans as a notice of recognition for what they are, have so invested in defeat in this war, a defeat would mean their victory in the American Political Arena. A victory in this war would be a defeat for them in the American Political Arena.

Victor Davis Hanson has an excellent article at NRO that I ran across several days ago. He runs through the ever changing political scene and a key point I shall never forget. The nuance will escape the average anti-Americanist:
[...] The second problem was the nature of the growing antiwar mood in the country that after the pullback from Fallujah in April 2004 became frenetic. Democrats rashly fanned this national wildfire. By 2006 the conflagration had finally led to their return to power in Congress.

Unfortunately, many Democrats saw the change-of-heart in the electorate as a blanket endorsement of their own alternate universe. But it wasn't necessarily so. The voters were not necessarily interested in new ties with terrorist Syria, restoring diplomacy with Iran, gay marriage, abortion, minority-identity politics, new spending programs, open borders, closing down Guantanamo, an end to wiretaps of suspected terrorists, or the repeal of the Patriot Act.

The people were mad at the war not because they felt it was amoral or unsound policy, or because they hated George Bush, or because they wished liberals instead to end it in defeat -- but simply because they felt frustrated that we either were not winning, or not winning at a cost in blood and treasure that was worth the effort.

That Pattonesque national mood ("America loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser") is not quite entirely gone, and was entirely misunderstood by most Democrats. Somehow instead they saw their new popularity as connected to the appeal of their politics rather than their shared anger at the mismanagement of the war. [...]
Very powerful that is. And, in light of the recent developments in the War In Iraq, that sentiment marks their doom and they know it.

The Dems are between a rock and a hard place and cannot get out unscathed. They have embraced defeatist rhetoric in the hopes of political gain, self-destructive as it has become, and they have no way out and no way to recover. The elections of 2008 will be very interesting indeed.

Just a few days ago, Rep Murtha returned from Iraq and said (my paraphrase), "By golly gee! The Surge is working". This so infuriated SoH Pelosi that she put the kibosh on that almost immediately...too late it was in the coming. Murtha has some serious damage control in his own life to consider and may have been too eager to make points with the military. We may never know for sure.

Regardless, being stuck between their rocks and their hard places, they will be crushed and exposed for what they are; disingenuous cretins.
[...] Democrats have invested everything in losing the war in Iraq and blaming it on President Bush, and now they've been proved wrong. Murtha has admitted it; other Democrats, one by one, will follow.

How much faith can Americans place in a party so committed to a national failure - and now so discredited?
Exactly so. They just cannot get anything right on Iraq, can they?
Dems are on the wrong side of history and fading fast.

"But I felt kinda embarrassed telling the Iraqis they had to get their act together and pass legislation when we can't do it back here." - Democratic Congressman Norman Dicks.

The spin before was we cannot win, pull the troops out. The spin now is we won, pull the troops out.

Will Democrats ever change their course and head for victory? [...]
Only time will tell.

Support The Troops With Move America Forward!

cross post by Snooper

ATTENTION TO ORDERS!

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!! HEAR YE!!!

Starting Monday, November 26th, Move America Forward will wage a huge, cross country pro-troop holiday tour called "Honoring Heroes at the Holidays Tour."

We'll have pro-troop rallies and events in 40 cities across America for the next three weeks, and at each event we'll collect signed Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday greeting cards that we'll deliver to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan . We're collecting over 100,000 cards in this effort - and given the current rate the cards have been coming in to our headquarters at Move America Forward we could well exceed that goal.

I have a request to make of you: can you please help us spread the word of this effort and a link to our tour route so patriotic Americans all across the nation can do their part to show their support for our troops who will be serving more than 7,000 miles away from their families, friends and homes during the holidays.

When the "Honoring Our Heroes at the Holidays" national pro-troop tour ends on December 16th (in New York City), Move America Forward will then have a delegation fly to Iraq and hand-deliver the final batch of cards to our troops on Christmas Day.

We want to bring out great crowds to these events and collect huge numbers of Christmas/Hanukkah/Holiday cards for our troops.

PLEASE HELP GET THE WORD OUT!

Complete details can be found online at: Move America Forward

Thanks a bunch,

Ryan Gill - Move America Forward

You can also visit Operation America Rising and send the items requested to them. They will be meeting up with the MAF Caravan in NYC.

OAR is proud to be assisting with two projects this winter. First, in conjunction with the Honoring the Heroes at the Holidays tour of Move America Forward, we are proud to announce Operation Joy to the troops.

Operation America Rising will be collecting Holiday Cards for our Troops stationed overseas. We welcome you to be a part of this noble cause.

Get your local schools, churches, businesses, and civic organizations involved. All you have to do is collect holiday messages of Joy for the Troops and mail them to:

P.O. Box 2345
Franklin, NC 28744.

We will then deliver the cards to Move America Forward's "Honoring Heroes at the Holidays Tour!"

This will be a nationwide tour starting November 26th and ending on December 16th. OAR will deliver the messages of Joy on Wednesday December 12, 2007. It is time to send holiday joy and praise to the men and women that defend our freedom. If you would like more detailed information email me.

ACTION ALERT For A Newt One Readers--UPDATE

UPDATE!! This article has been posted on Digg! and GOP Hub--click on the vote buttons to keep this article in the public eye and easily searched out by others!

cross-post by Snooper

Grassroots rallying point: Alec Rawls has contacted us here at A Newt One via email; message follows:
Dear John and Snooper: Several bloggers are posting a letter to Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne today, trying to bring him into the loop on the Islamic and terrorist memorializing features of the planned Flight 93 memorial. They are asking their readers to click an email script, paste the letter in, and send it to Kempthorne and Tancredo, but they are just posters. They aren̢۪t set up for activism like you guys. Any chance you could ask your readers to send this along? Tancredo has been a great help, asking the Park Service last week to scrap the crescent design entirely. We have their attention now, and the letter to Kempthorne is to try to broaden the circle amongst people who can actually do something about this. It also lets Tancredo̢۪s people know that we are on it an are backing him. My post is at: Error Theory I am pasting a copy of the post below, and the HTML below that. Keep up the great work, Alec Rawls

A Newt One gladly accepts the awesome responsibility to see this issue through to the bloody end. We have had Alec on the America Truth Warriors Show a few times and we join in this effort with Tom Tancredo.

Please join us and many of our fellow Conservative bloggers to crush the effort to memorialize terrorists...our enemies...by the United States Parks Service. The letter to copy and paste and send is here:

Dear Secretary Kempthorne:

Please heed Congressman Tom Tancredo's call to completely scrap the present design for the Flight 93 Memorial. The original Crescent of Embrace design would have planted a bare naked crescent and star flag on the crash site:

The memorial plaza that sits roughly in the position of the star on an Islamic flag marks the crash site. (Click pics for larger images.)

All the redesign did was add some trees to the west of the original crescent:

Aside from the re-coloring of the site-plan image, the only actual change in the design is the additional arc of trees to the rear of a person facing into the original crescent.

The Park Service promised Congressman Tancredo in 2005 that Islamic iconography would be removed from the memorial. Instead, this iconography has only been very slightly disguised. Every particle of the original Crescent of Embrace design remains completely intact in the redesign.

The giant crescent points to Mecca
In September 2005, a half dozen different bloggers verified that a person facing directly into the original Crescent of Embrace would be facing almost exactly at Mecca. That makes the crescent a mihrab, the central feature around which every mosque is built.

Face into the crescent to face Mecca:

Left: mihrab from the Great Mosque in Cordoba Spain. Right: Crescent of Embrace also faces Mecca. The green circle is from the Mecca-direction calculator at Islam.com. When it is placed over the original Crescent of Embrace site plan, the Mecca-direction line (the "qibla") almost exactly bisects the crescent.

You can plant as many trees around a mosque as you want and it will still be a mosque. But this isn't just the world's largest mosque. The planned memorial is also full of terrorist memorializing features.

Please hear my voice along with those of Congressman Tancredo and Tom Burnett Sr., who is refusing to allow Tom Jr.'s name to be used in the crescent design. The memorial to Flight 93 should not be a terrorist memorial mosque.

Sincerely

(Add your name accordingly)

Secretary Kempthorne's phone number is 202-208-7351

Snail-mail:

Hon. Dirk Kempthorne, Secretary of Interior
Office of the Secretary
Rm. 6156, ms7229-MIB
1849 C St, NW
Washington, DC 20240-0001

The Park Service has a history of keeping the Secretary of the Interior in the dark about the decisions it makes in his name. It is likely that Secretary Dirk Kempthorne has never been told about the many warnings of Islamic symbolism in the planned Flight 93 Memorial. Please help bring Dirk into the loop by pasting the following letter (or one of your own) into an email for him.

The Progressives (read liberals) Live In Fear of Ronald Wilson Reagan

cross post by Snooper of A Newt One

~Snooper~

I find it interesting as I read the "progressive" tripe from those that are trying, in vain I will add, to discredit America's best President we have ever had since George Washington.

I lived through Reaganomics and I lived through some of the most profitable years this country has ever experienced. I witnessed the revival of American Patriotism and the defeat of the Evil Empire of the former USSR.

The allegations as set forth by the likes of Bob Herbert, Talk Left, The Carpetbagger Report, Lean Left, Bark Bark Woof Woof, Lawyers, Guns and Money, and the Washington Monthly, all I can think of is the thought that these people are drunk on the talking dulls of the insignificant and uneducated. I dare say that none of these people experienced in real time the Reagan Conservative Revolution. If they did, they hated it because the Leftinistra lost at every turn.

Daniel W Drezner: seeing that the NY Slimes has decided to mock the blogosphere and the opening volley is railing against the Venerable RWR, Daniel is starting a "Mimic the New York Times Op-ed Columnist Contest". Have at it and have fun.

The socialists at Talk Left seem to think that their fellow socialist Herbert has a great piece out...that figures. RWR pretty much single-handedly trounced into oblivion their heroes of the USSR.

The 60s era Shaggy Carpet Socialists Carpet Bagging ignorance and stupidity seem to agree with their favorite socialists as well.

It all boils down to this. Should another Reagan Era Conservative come up to the plate in 2008, the Leftinistra are finished in this country for yet another 30 years. This is what they fear the most. I have been watching this fear unfold for the last 6 years. This is a distraction technique, aimed at the ignorant, knowing that their audience is a captured audience in that their audience doesn't know any better.

The Leftinistra MUST paint the picture that a Reagan Proponent is a racist therefore, vote the Party of Socialism, the Democratic Party.

The Lean Left crowd has obviously been partakers of the Socialist Elites (Progressives) and cannot be trusted to pee in the toilet let alone conduct a rational train of thought.

The Rabid Socialist Hounds Barking and Woofing up the wrong tree, as usual, most assuredly are against states rights...socialists cannot accept that credo.

Lawyers, Guns (OH MY) and Money...well, they are just dumber than a box of used turtle turds.

Catch the wave.

No, Ronald Wilson Reagan did not have a racist bone in his body, unlike the leaders of the Leftinistra Democrats. If you want a history of racism, look deep into the ins and outs of the Democratic Party from before the American Civil War right up to today.

ATTENTION TO ORDERS: pay no attention to the pathetic and frantic antics of the Losers of The Left. They know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have lost their death grip on this country and they will resort to lies and deceit to achieve ultimate and supreme power...power is all that matters to them, "We The People" be damned.

Chief Distortionist Greenwald Whining About Ron Paul Distortions?

cross post from Snooper of A Newt One

~Snooper~
What a crock! no matter the spin, Greenie, spin is spin and your version of spin is ineffective...we are on to you and have been for quite a spell. Ron Paul is a fraud, plain and simple. As most politicians do, he likes to waste tax payer's money, much like Kucinich trying to impeach VP Cheney for uncommitted crimes to satisfy the ill-fated and passe anti-Americanist Movement(s), aka, Convoluted Bowel Movements.

Ronniev Pauliev, although blessed with the gift of gab, is, at heart, an anti-Americanist himself and his following is no better than the likes of the crowds such as Code Pepto Dismal and similar pathetic minions. It is no wonder that the Leftinistra author for salon, a known Leftinistra rag, a mouthpiece for other anti-Americanist groups, would rally to the aid of another Leftinistra in GOP Garb.

News Flash to Greenie Waldo...Ron Paul is not a Republican. We also know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the "supporters" for Ronniev Pauliev are part of the dire straights the Leftinistra are in and, whatever they can do to trash the upcoming elections, they will do. It isn't working. Ronniev Pauliev hasn't a snowball's chance in Kennedy's freezer to make it to the White House.

Orcinus has an in-depth look into Ron Paul's "record" and it clearly reveals an Isolationist and shallow politician that is not only unqualified to lead this Great Nation, he is unqualified to breath free air. This piece is what has Greenie Waldo's panties in a wad. This piece and the plethora of others past, present and future will sink Ronniev Pauliev and the supporters will go back supporting the likes of Kucinich...that is if the Mother Ship doesn't arrive in time.

Little Green Footballs posted this a few days ago and the Paulievs shrieked...

LGF reader Shiplord Kirel alerts us to some very interesting excerpts at Free Republic from the old Ron Paul newsletter, being posted by a Freeper over the objections of the site̢۪s Paulians. The excerpts are from the mid 80s to the late 90s:

Ron Paul supported the PLO terrorists (1985)
Ron Paul: Israel bought Jesse Helms (1985)
Ron Paul" Traitor had direct line to President Reagan (1992, refers to commie business collaborator Armand Hammer)
RON PAUL ON DEFENSE SPENDING (1992, sounds like Ramsey Clark)
Ron Paul: Clinton didn̢۪t cut defense enough (1993)
Ron Paul: US "military is mowing civilians down in the streets" (1993, refers to Somalia)
RON PAUL ACCUSED U.S. TROOPS OF WAR CRIMES IN DESERT STORM (1991, this one repeats Ramsey Clark̢۪s allegations almost verbatim)

He has no thoughts of his own and his whining voice attracts the weak...

Catch the wave.

232 Years of Honor, Pride, Protection--Happy Birthday USMC

I never saw the movie "A Few Good Men". I'm not real big on Tom Cruise.

I am HUGE on the United States Marine Corps. Today is their 232nd birthday and those who have earned the right to wear the uniform, past and present, are incredible men and women. From Snooper at ANewtOne comes this quote (and he got it from ChicagoRay) from the movie "A Few Good Men". What a beautiful summation.
"You can't handle the truth. Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand at post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."
Happy Birthday, Marines. And a heartfelt thank you.
