Revolt!

http://www.youtube.com/?v=jeYscnFpEyA

While I am completely in agreement with the speaker's anger, passion and sense of urgency, I am in profound disagreement with three of the ideas he promotes.
  1. Term limits.
  2. The draft.
  3. Eliminating the Electoral College.
Congressional term limits would throw out the statesmen, though they are few, with the demagogues & pork fiends. We do not presently need and can not afford an army of the size that would result from universal service. The Electoral College is needed to prevent the densely populated urban areas along the coasts from running away with power. It should not be tampered with.

Mailing tea bags to Washington seems to me to be a wasteful symbolic gesture. Security procedures instituted after the Anthrax attacks have have hampered important and necessary postal communication with Congressmen. Mailing tea bags would compound that problem.

There are petitions you can sign & promote and tea parties to attend. But, if you really want to instill fear in the hearts of the demagogues, those activities pale before the one act that has real potential: a mass exodus from the corrupt parties to a new startup: the Loyalist Party. When the the corrupt parties phone or write begging for money, turn them down and tell them where your support is going and why. If enough people do that, the parties will be forced to take notice.

Our Dearly Beloved Foe

Most of us are aware of our foreign enemies, the Islamists, the Communists, the petty potentates. But what about our domestic enemies? Whom must we defeat on our own soil in order to save this great nation? The hardcore left? the America-haters? the Pelosis and Reids? those Hollywood swimming pool capitalist/commies? the Jane Fondas and Michael Moores? Forget it, they're beyond redemption. They're firmly committed, most often generationally committed, to the death of American style democracy and capitalism, and to the universal victory of collectivism. But despite their money and influence it wasn't the Barbra Streisands and the Sean Penns who were responsible for the Great Charlatan's victory this past November. Our real political foes, who by their inattention or gullibility are presently in the process of destroying this country, are some of the nicest people in the world. You know them well. They're your friends and neighbors, perhaps your sons and daughters. They've opened up their innocent hearts to the promise of Obama and voted for "Change we can believe in", fervently believing that our so-called Global War on Terror is nothing more than an overblown Republican ruse, another blatant attempt to accrue more right-wing power and wealth, another pointless Vietnam, that our problems with Islam began (and will hopefully have ended) with the presidency of George W. Bush. "Bush lied and thousands died", they say. And we must understand that they believe it, deeply, sincerely. Tolerance and pacifism are integral parts of their carefully constructed psyche: To achieve peace and harmony in this world, they tell us, we must lovingly embrace the Other, no matter how their mores or morals might conflict with ours. All religions are equally sacrosanct and above objective criticism (with the possible exception of certain loony fringe cults), even if they are overtly politicized. War is nothing but legalized violence, and is never, ever, the answer. Everyone and everything has rights: trees have rights, whales have rights, and enemy combatants have rights. These rights must never be abrogated or we'll lose our foundational moral integrity and sink to the level of our less-enlightened, or less privileged adversaries. Our material success is a crown of thorns -- we're weighed down by the guilty knowledge that our bounty is tainted with moral corruption and boundless greed. We've risen to our heights on the backs of the downtrodden of this world, the poor blacks and the colored peoples of this world, and we must finally admit to our inherent self-serving racism and bigotry, and try, somehow at least try, to make amends. We'll begin our national catharsis by electing a President from amongst the Other, a President who sees his role not as the leader of a great sovereign nation but rather as a citizen of the world, a President who sees America, not as a grand and glorious exception, but as just one state among many, bound by the universal laws of all the peoples of this world. Humility, not hegemony.

The celebrity activists (and our leftist MSM) have helped deliver this awful self-inflicted wound, but in the end it was the 'good people', our friends and neighbors, perhaps our sons and daughters, who went to the polls in droves and proudly cast their votes for the first black president of the United States of America, thus proving to this jaded world that we are no longer arrogant racists, and that we're willing to make amends. And it is this radiant but illusory vision of hope and promise that we must somehow brutally shatter if we are to survive the coming onslaught. There is hope and there is promise, but only if we are free and alive to achieve it.

So how do we reach these good-hearted but ill-advised liberals? How do we break through those barriers of comfortable self-righteousness? As our fellow patriot Maggie Thornton so aptly suggested, must they really be shown rather than told? Must they be subjected to multiple 9/11s before they're willing to face the truth of our imminent peril?

These good people aren't ignorant or even necessarily disinterested, they're busy, consumed in their everyday battles. They're generally optimistic: they feel that somehow things will 'work themselves out', they always do. These good people spend an average of twenty minutes a week getting their news from a leftist MSM. At the end of the day, what little time they have left they choose to spend with their families and their loved ones. They have neither the space nor the inclination in their hectic lives to study the Koran, nor to contemplate the inroads of Islam in Belgium. Yes, the good people of America are busy, busy with the business of making America great. They're what separate us from those lethargic and constantly rioting socialistic failures across the seas.

Of course the problem with this situation is that just being good isn't good enough. Being honest and hard-working and good just won't save them, and us. There were a lot of good, intelligent and industrious people in Germany in the twenties and thirties who by their inattention, by their silence, or their gullibility, allowed their country to be taken over by monsters and brought to ruin.

Our good people are just that: they're good, we're not angry with them, we love them, they're our only hope. When we write it's not to change the minds of any of those hardened far-left activists but to try to reach these decent, hard-working folks who would care if they really understood the gravity of their situation, our present situation. They're not asleep, they don't need to be "awakened", they've been awake for hours. They've already got the kids off to school and are on their way to work. No, they don't need to be awakened, but they need to be convinced, convinced that we truly are in mortal danger, that we truly are in a desperate war, a war that we absolutely must win. And somehow we must do the convincing.

Recently I got into a minor argument with a liberal friend of mine over the threat of Islam, and when I brought up the subject of CAIR my friend said that he'd never heard of them. This is what we're up against. This is an example of the shallowness of their cognizance. This is why we must continue this fight, no matter how hopeless it may seem. For we are one of the only avenues of truth out there and our fellow citizens are in dire need of truth and education. This is why our words matter, why our tireless research has meaning. This isn't some egocentric form of pedantic arrogance, it's simply a matter of life and death. - rg

Al-Nafisi Incites Terrorism

Link to the video.

MEMRI Special Dispatch- No. 2247 02/16/09

Abdallah Al-Nafisi, a Kuwaiti professor, had his speech broadcast by Al-Jazeera TV February 2. The following is a transcript of the English sub titles.
Four pounds of anthrax in a suitcase this big - carried by a fighter through tunnels from Mexico into the U.S. are guaranteed to kill 330,000 Americans within a single hour, if it is properly spread in population centers there What a horrifying idea. 9/11 will be small change in comparison. Am I right? There is no need for airplanes, conspiracies, timings, and so on. One person, with the courage to carry four pounds of anthrax, will go to the White House lawn, and will spread this "confetti" all over them, and then will do these cries of joy. It will turn into a real "celebration."

The WMD is a problem. The Americans are afraid that the WMDs might fall into the hands of "terrorist" organizations like Al-Qaeda and others. There is good reason for the American's fears, because Al-Qaeda used to have in the Herat region... it had laboratories in north Afghanistan. They have scientists, chemists and nuclear physicists. They are nothing like they are portrayed by these mercenary journalists - backward Bedouins living in caves. No, no. By no means. This kind of talk can fool only naive people. People who follow such things know that Al-Qaeda has laboratories just like Hizbullah.

Hizbullah has laboratories in South Lebanon, in which it produces weapons and sells them. Hizbullah has laboratories in South Lebanon, from which it sells weapons to Romania and Hungary.

If they call someone a terrorist, say: "He's a friend of mine." Why? Because these "terrorists" are the world's most God-fearing people. They are the most honorable people in the world, the best people in the world. [Applause.] I have personally met Mullah Omar. I had the honor of meeting with Mullah Omar. This is a man who does not belong to this era. He always refused to meet with Western delegations. He would say to them: "Go to Kabul, I am in Qandahar." "Truly, the polytheists are impure" - if you know what I mean. "Go meet the Foreign minister to talk politics, I am staying here. " This is the kind of people who are suitable for dealing with the West. As for Arafat, Dahlan, and their ilk - they do not benefit the nation in any way.

In the US, there are more than 300,000 militia members, who are calling to attack the federal government in Washington, and to banish the Arabs, the Jews, and the negoes (sic) from the US. These are racist people. They are called "rednecks." The Ku Klux Klan. They are racists. These militias even think about bombing nuclear plants within the US. May Allah grant them success, [Laughter.] even though we are not white, or even close to it, right? They have plans to bomb the nuclear plant at Lake Michigan. This plant is very important. It supplies electricity to all of North Africa (sic). May Allah grant success to one of these militia leaders, who is thinking about bombing this plant. I believe that we should devote part of our prayers to him. We should pray that Allah grants him success, so he can complete this mission, and we will be able to visit him and congratulate him, Allah willing.

Allah stated in the Koran that the hostility between us and (the Jews) is eternal. So whoever talks about Dialogue - cut off his tongue! What Dialogue are they talking about?! There is no room for Dialogue. Allah said that our hostility toward the Jews is eternal, and then along comes someone and talks about brotherhood and so on.... Anyone who contradicts the Koran is an infidel. Accusing people of heresy? Yes. I'm all for it. Yes, I support accusing people of heresy.

We should also defend the resistance, and not remain silent in the face of this organized campaign against the resistance, in the press of the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf, and other Arab newspapers. Thee are voices expressing doubts about the leaders of the resistance. We must confront these (journalists) and prevent them from continuing this, even if it means calling them over the phone, and saying to them: "Do not repeat these despicable things in your columns or your articles, or else we will take the following measures against you." We must resort to pressure with these people. We must not remain silent. We must not leave them to their own devices under the pretext of freedom of expression. This is a fifth column. I, abdullah Fahd Abd Al-Aziz Al-Nafisi, am inciting you to confront, using any means possible, anyone who speaks out against the resistance. Any means possible" - get it?

The Hamas ministers are mujahideen, I know a minister who actually participated in operations.

In Special Dispatch- No. 2281, 03/16/09, MEMRI quotes three "liberal" critics of Abdallah Al-Nafisi. One of them, columnist Ahmad Al-Sarraf, had this to say.
"More importantly, what would we, the Arabs and the Muslims, or [anyone else], gain if a religious fanatic carried out to the letter what this 'great thinker' said? For example, would the world be a more just, good, and peaceful place, or would this be this be the first sign of the coming of the awaited Mahdi, [who is said to arrive] when the world is filled with injustice and oppression?

"What would be the response of the U.S. government and its people if we killed 330,000 innocent Americans in a single hour? Would we then become capable of getting Palestine back from the Israelis, the [UAE] islands back from the Iranians, Alexandretta back from the Turks, and Andalus back from the Spaniards? And what good would all that be if nuclear bombs fell on our heads and destroyed the little that is good in our countries?
What are those, if not pragmatic arguments? Concern is expressed about outcomes, expected failure and possible retaliation. Where is the condemnation based on the intrinsic immorality of the proposal?
"And are our feelings and emotions so dead that we are not bothered by [the prospect of] the death of 330,000 innocent Americans in a single hour - among whom may well be some of our own people, and true friends - just because the government of this country has helped one of our enemies? And as though we ourselves haven't been our own enemy for hundreds of years? Oh logic, oh reason: how beautiful you are, and how rare."
The writer implies enmity to Israel, does he object to attacks against her as well? Would he have responded in this manner if Al-Nafsi had suggested an attack on Tel Aviv? Notice the qualifier: "innocent Americans". Are there "guilty Americans" who should be killed? Is Ahmad aware that Allah considers all Non-Muslims to be sinners who must be humiliated, punished and subjugated?

Dr. Al-Nafisi is a citizen of Kuwait, a nation with good reason to have a favorable attitude towards the USA. The speech was delivered to a an approving audience in Bahrain, another supposedly "moderate" Muslim nation.

I Apologize For My Nation

I apologize to the world for the lies of Obama and the Democrat Party and a vast majority of the members of the Republican Party.
I am sorry that Obama promised to repair our nation's reputation and improve our standing in the world's eyes and yet have him turn around and offend France and profane the names of the fallen at Normandy and thereby embarrassing Germany.
I am sorry that the nearly five decades of failed Democrat Party economic policies led to the abuse of non monitored federal statute loopholes that allowed foreign born spies, for lack of a better phrase, to use American bank laws that allowed the potential nuclear proliferation of materials to enable Iran to receive products to further Iran's nuclear program.  I apologize that "someone" lied in the NIE report that said Iran had stopped in 2003 and then later on when the damage was done stated that they had made an error.
I am sorry that America, at the dawn of saber rattling of despot nations, will be cutting defense spending as the opposite should be taking place.  I am sorry that missile defense systems that have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they work will go by the wayside in order to appease nation-states lusting for war and territory acquisitions.
I am sorry that the unconstitutional actions of the current federal government is using extortion techniques in direct violation of their own installed and enacted RICO Laws and refusing to accept TARP money pay backs in order to become lords and gods of all economies of the world.
I am sorry that the communist black caucus with a member from Sanford and Son tagging along think that Fidel is just like an old friend and our Troops that ensure their every day safety are considered to be merely stupid people with guns and fight like mad orangutans to not count their votes.
I am sorry that Mr Hopenchange has developed into the singularly most divisive individual to ever disgrace this nation as a whole and has the citizens of this nation on the verge of armed conflict to reinstate our Constitutional Republic.
I am sorry that the slum lord of South Chicago has revealed himself to be the exact model the American Leftinistra claimed President George W Bush was.
I am sorry for the Leftinistra that have blown their chance in less than 90 days to reign in a Marxist State of the former United States.
I am sorry for the international embarrassment Barack Hussein Obama has become on a scale never seen before in any nation at any point in time in the recorded world's history.
I am sorry for Obama's fantasy and his affliction with "coke brain" and his inability to communicate on an intellectual level without the sole support of electronic gadgets and a computer programmer at his beckon call.
I am sorry that Obama and his staff of liars and promoters of false proclamations of the myth of global warming to such a degree that they find it necessary to heal the earth by cooling off the atmosphere and planting fake trees to absorb carbon dioxide that real trees need to produce the oxygen we need to survive and to inject once bad for the planet pollution into the atmosphere to reflect solar energy.
I am sorry that Obama and his cabal of idiots, moosetwits and intellectually void staffers, including his wife, don't know or are incapable of understanding cultures of other nations which causes them to bow to kings, hug queens and violate the customs and protocols of other nations every time they venture out of their asylums.
I am sorry that the wanna-be man called Obama hates the Troops and when 1500 were invited to visit with Obama in Iraq only 600 showed up.  I am sorry that he pretends to care and those he pretends to care about send him a message to drop dead.  I am sorry for the obvious fraud perpetrated upon our Troops by The One.
I am sorry that Obama said on his campaign that "we will never apologize for our way of life" and then turn around and apologize for this nation we are proud of, causing an avalanche of fellow despot tyrants to demand that he apologize to our enemies.  I am sorry that Obama's character defects are more than he can tolerate.
I am sorry that those promised tax cuts won't be coming any time soon.
I am sorry that the people of Turkey have been so insulted by Obama that they now hate America more now than they ever had in the past.
I am sorry for America that the nation must suffer its fools for extended periods of time to the extent that our Founding Fathers must be looking down upon their children with utter contempt and dismay.
But, first and foremost, I apologize for our own home-grown Liberals that couldn't tell you which chapter and verse of the United States Constitution supports even one of their beloved policies, wishes, dreams and desires.  I am sorry for the injuries induced into this world by the American Liberal, no matter their political party affiliation, primarily the democrats in drag registered as republicans.
The following applies to them all.
I Am Loyal Democrat
I am Loyal Democrat. I will take the side of any entity that declares itself to be an enemy of the United States. I will consider any action taken by my government to be improper, and defend the position of any nation that opposes my own. I will not stand by while the concepts of freedom and liberty are allowed to infect the thoughts of repressed peoples. Rather, I will combat such efforts and convince the slaves of dictatorships that they have it better than anyone else.

I am Loyal Democrat. I will tell all Americans that they had 9/11 coming as retribution for all of our evil deeds inflicted upon members of the most peaceful religion on earth. I will work to undermine any effort to destroy the Islamic tidal wave of terror that has vowed to wash onto our beaches. I will strive to weaken our military as it attempts to carry out its mission overseas. I shall encourage total surrender to any foe that threatens us.

I am Loyal Democrat. I shall stir up domestic unrest by separating my fellow citizens into groups, and then I will encourage each group to distrust the next, and convince each that I am their one true friend. Through this magnificent deception, I will rule them all. I will convince minorities that they are inferior, and that they need my special help to succeed in life. Once I have them suspicious of others and fully demoralized, I will keep them down, and make their every gain dependent on what I decide to let them do. I shall oppress minorities worse than any avowed racist could ever hope to.

I am Loyal Democrat. I will make every effort to criticize people that achieve, to hinder those that aspire, and ridicule those that display self-worth. In spite of my lack of personal merit, I will elevate myself in the eyes of others by bringing people with actual character down. I will prey on people's envy of others' success, and I will gain undeserved power as a result. I will take from those that earn until they lose the motivation to build up mankind any longer.

I am Loyal Democrat. I will promote the tyranny of socialism, and crush the only economic system that has advanced mankind. And when we are all financially destitute and controlled by an omnipotent government, I shall laugh at the destruction I have wrought, for I truly hate mankind.
SELAH.

The Outrage of Patriotism: Updated

A note from Radarsite: I could spend the remainder of my life (which, as some of my friends know, is somewhat circumscribed) responding to Obama's recent stupid and unforgivable anti-American speeches overseas. This misguided, totally uninformed anti-Americanism is the reason I started Radarsite. A year-and-a-half ago I wrote a small article titled "A Brief Message to America", wherein I attempted to envision what General "Old Blood and Guts" Patton might have to say to this current weak-kneed leftist/pacifist generation, were he around to say it. Surprisingly, I received more hate mail for this piece than for anything I have written either before or since. Of course, this reaction triggered a new article which I am reproducing here in the hope that it reinvigorates the patriots and shames the lily-livered PC libs who are hell-bent on destroying this great nation of ours. -rg

---------------------------------------------------------

As some of you may know, I have written many articles critical of many things. Most often, of course, I've been critical of that dangerous Religion of Peace, called Islam. However, I have also found time to criticize feminists, liberals, Mexican-Americans, and even the Queen of England. But, no other article I have ever written has generated more angry hate mail, nor more malicious personal attacks than a short piece I wrote earlier this week.

No, it wasn't that one about those deadly Mohammad cartoons; and it wasn't that piece about the Jews and anti-semitism -- which I was certain would receive all kinds of objectionable comments, but actually received none.

The article that generated the most vicious and hateful responses -- even more than any of my anti-Islam pieces -- was that short essay I wrote in praise of America, A Brief Message to America. Even some of those people who had previously been generally acceptive of my point of view got upset enough to let me know about it. In sum, the common theme of these protests was that the article in question was "disgusting" and made them "sick". A lot of jokes about running to get the bucket. One angry commenter accused me of "never having written anything of value since I first started posting". I had, till then, never experienced real unmittigated visceral hatred for something I had written.

Evidently, the subject of patriotism is even more inflammatory and controversial than the subject of anti-semitism. What, I wonder, does this say about us here, today, in America? What does this tell us about ourselves that we don't already know? Do you find this as revealing as I do?

In general, I am being accused of two major personal faults: either being a "phony" or a "fool". To me, a phony is someone who says things that they don't really mean; therefore I am not a phony. As to being a fool, I suppose that's for others to decide. Some ninety per cent of the hate mail came from right here in the U.S. -- although, surprisingly, some of the most disturbing came from -- of all places -- New Zealand.

However, I am also happy to report that this little article unapologetically extolling the virtually-ignored virtues of America and Americans also garnered some of the warmest and most genuinely supportive comments I have ever gotten for any other piece (including, to my surprise, Fox News). The most fulsome praise for that article's praise of America came -- not surprisingly -- from our loyal allies in Australia. [See "KG's comments below]

The article is just an article -- but the reactions are significant. Significant and disturbing. This is the nature of our current and growing 'civil war'. These are the enemies we face.

For me, being patriotic is as natural and uncomplicated as loving your parents.
Are our parents without fault? Do they sometimes make mistakes? (although, I must admit, the older I get the less mistakes they seem to have made) The answer to both is of course, Yes. But they are our parents and we love them, don't we? We love them and we honor them, because they are good and they are decent and they have raised us up and nurtured us and protected us from harm to the best of their ability. And, again, the older I get, the more I appreciate how much they sacrificed for me so that I could have a chance at leading a free and productive life.

When I was an adolescent, I thought as an adolescent, and I was more than eager to find fault with them and with all of their 'phony values' and with the way they looked at this world. And I rebelled against them, as I rebelled against all authority figures and all of those loathsome symbols of The Establishment. In this way I was, of course, being a perfect conformist; conforming to the expectations of rebellious adolescence.

Thankfully, and finally, I've grown up now. After September 11, 2001, I've grown up even more -- as I'm sure a lot of us here have.

Over these past years, something has become increasingly apparent to me, a little theory of mine, which I can of course in no way corroborate with facts. It is simply this: the people I have known in my life who seem to be the most productive, the happiest, the most at ease with themselves and this world, are those people who speak of their parents with simple, unreserved affection, loyalty and love. Whether these were attributes which had always been present, or whether they were learned later on through life's experience -- as mine were -- they were almost invariably present and obvious.

I pity our enemies, for I think that they are unhappy and empty, I pity them as I pity all of those current rebellious adolescents who, for the sake of conforming to some perceived convention, have turned on their parents and their country and learned how to despise them and everything they stand for.

Maybe, if they live long enough...
