Everything described in the post below is Hyperlinked to a site within the Chicago Democratic party archives, there is no conjecture, no guessing, The fact is that as recently as 1996 Senator Obama was an active member of the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party:

On their website the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) has a description of their political perspective called Where We Stand. It says, in part,

We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.

We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.

According to its newsletter called The New Ground ,Senator Barack Obama attended at least a few meetings of the Chicago Chapter of this group in 1996. And from the way it was described in the newsletter he "talked the talk" and "walked the walk" and even signed a contract with the group.

Piles of evidence have linked Barack Obama to ACORN aka Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Documented ties, articles quoting Obama himself stating those ties and now The Corner shows us that Barack Obama is trying to distance himself and deny those ties since ACORN is being investigated in quite a few states for voter fraud?

Barack Obama is now apparently denying his ties with Acorn. Here’s what he’s posted on the subject at his "Fight the Smears" website. These claims are contradicted by several sources, a number of which I linked to in my piece, "Inside Obama’s Acorn." In that piece, you’ll find a link to a Los Angeles Times piece in which Chicago Acorn leader Madeline Talbott is described as so impressed with Obama that "she invited him to help train her staff." You’ll also see a link to a statement by Obama himself, made in pursuit of Acorn’s endorsement. Obama says: "I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work." In my piece, "No Liberation," you’ll find a link to a 1995 profile of Obama which says: "Obama continues his organizing work largely through classes for future leaders identified by ACORN and the Centers for New Horizons on the south side." My articles provide background, but the quotes and links I’ve presented here, and in the past, pretty conclusively contradict Obama’s current claims at "Fight the Smears."

ACORN, Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Meeks...etc... these associations of Obama are a good reason why people need to understand how bad his judgment is at best and how crooked his associations are and at worst, his involvement with these people show his negligence and irresponsibility.

My Neighbor the Obama Supporter

In line with the 'questionable' donations practices of the Obama campaign, comes this piece from Bob Lonsberry:

Doodad Pro is my neighbor.

Well, not exactly neighbor. My neighbors are a state trooper, a soldier and a guy who customizes guns.

But I digress. This is about Doodad Pro.

He lives in the next town over, in a place called Nunda. It’s pronounced “none-day,” with the accent on the second syllable. It’s a tiny place in a pretty little upstate New York valley. Right about now the foliage ought to be getting close to peak. I think the motto is “A Great Place To Live” or something like that.

All I know for sure is that my Aunt Lonnie and Uncle Pete used to live there and just last week their girls soccer team absolutely spanked ours. I go to Nunda a couple of times a month – the diner is nice, and so is the all-you-can-eat at Bill’s – and I highly recommend the 5k race they have each May as part of Nunda Fun Days.

Speaking of which, the Nunda Fun Days parade is about the best small-town all-American parade you’re ever going to see. The town bicentennial is this year, and they’ve got a great hardware store and this place that makes pretty good mustard and nut butter. Other than that, Nunda’s best days were about a hundred years ago.

Actually, more like 125 years ago. Right now it’s just a sleepy little backwater about 50 miles from anyplace that is anyplace. It has 1,300 people, if you count the young people away in the Marine Corps, and the census says it’s been shrinking since before you were born.

But this isn’t about Nunda. This is about Doodad Pro, Nunda’s most famous citizen.

At least I figure he’s got to be Nunda’s most famous citizen. I can’t remember anyone else from Nunda who ever made the national news.

Now, granted, Doodad Pro hasn’t really made all the national news. Not the big time, not with Katie and those other guys. But he has become a footnote.

Let me tell you why.

See, it seems Doodad Pro likes Barack Obama. In fact, he may like him more than anyone else on the planet.

And Doodad Pro has shown his fondness for Barack Obama by contributing to his campaign. You know, he’s one of those millions of humble people who have sacrificed some of their beer and lottery money to help Barack. Working people, being tortured and mutilated by George W. Bush, have rallied to the Obama campaign like flies to you-know-what....

New Hamas Military Exercises

Jerusalem - The Middle East Newsline has confirmed that Hamas military forces have begun training almost nightly at a facility in the central Gaza Strip.

The facility, referred to as Battalion 13, is located near the Gaza town of Khan Yunis.

Hamas captured the facility during its June 2007 takeover of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources said Hamas' military wing, Izzadin al-Qassam, has been conducting live fire exercises nearly every night at Battalion 13. The sources said Hamas troops practice squadron and platoon maneuvers in full battle gear near the Mughazi refugee camp.

"Hamas has accelerated its exercises because of the ceasefire," a Palestinian source said. "The exercises start at the training ground but often move through residential areas."

Hamas has been joined by virtually every Palestinian militia along the southern Gaza coast. It has sought to improve coordination between its military and militia allies to counter any potential Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, expected by 2009.

The training involves between 50 and 100 soldiers each night. Hamas has accelerated recruitment and training as well as tested a range of weapons, such as rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and missiles.

Palestinian militias have been identified as the Iranian- and Saudi-sponsored Islamic Jihad, Fatah, Popular Resistance Committees and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Virtually all of their exercises have taken place in the area of the former Jewish settlements dismantled by Israel in 2005.

This is just the lull before the storm. Hamas is just waiting until the end of the "truce" before they start on their next wave of attacks. And what will the Israeli government do? Will they continue the failed policy of appeasement that Ehud Olmert championed? Or will they take the inititive and destroy Hamas? I hope it is the latter, but I believe it will be the former.

And what will happen to the people of Sderot and the Western Negev? What always happens. They will suffer daily attacks.

The time has come for the Israelis to ignore the ramblings of the leftist anti-Semites and to destroy Hamas once and for all time. For Hamas has vowed to not only destroy all of Israel, but to kill every Jew in the land. Every man, woman and child to "purify" the land for their use.

The West stays silent on this. The Israeli government appeases the terrorists. And the people of Sderot suffer the attacks.
