Will The Most Damaging Obama Scandal Of All Be Buried Alive?

Here is an excerpt from Susan Duclos' 15 September blockbuster article on Obama's attempted manipulation of GIs troop withdrawals from Iraq for his own political purposes.

Iraqi government sources have revealed to the New York Post that Presidential candidate Barack Obama demanded Iraqi officials stop negotiations with the Bush Administration to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq. Fearful that the success in Iraq would harm his political aspirations, Obama sought to keep U.S. troops in Iraq so he can continue attacking the Bush Administration for not imposing a timetable for withdrawal.
And from the New York Post

Maliki's advisers have persuaded him that Obama will win - but the prime minister worries about the senator's "political debt to the anti-war lobby" - which is determined to transform Iraq into a disaster to prove that toppling Saddam Hussein was "the biggest strategic blunder in US history." [...]

Obama has given Iraqis the impression that he doesn't want Iraq to appear anything like a success, let alone a victory, for America. The reason? He fears that the perception of US victory there might revive the Bush Doctrine of "pre-emptive" war - that is, removing a threat before it strikes at America.
Despite some usual equivocations on the subject, Obama rejects pre-emption as a legitimate form of self -defense. To be credible, his foreign-policy philosophy requires Iraq to be seen as a failure, a disaster, a quagmire, a pig with lipstick or any of the other apocalyptic adjectives used by the American defeat industry in the past five years.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here's Radarsite's original comment to Susan's 15 September posting: This could be, should be, the biggest story of the campaign. This more than any other scandal, or rumor of scandal should be the end of Barack Hussein Obama. However -- and this is a huge 'However' -- will the media give it the attention it so obviously deserves? Or will they bury it under a mass of propaganda and lies? Or, worse still, will they just try to ignore it? This is going to be a test of wills. The will of the American people versus the will of the media elite and the Internationalist, anti-Americanist Obama crowd. This should be, must be the most important story in this election. If we are to stand a chance of keeping our great country free and American, we simply cannot allow this monumental scandal to be swept under the rug.

It is now the morning of 16 September. And how is this major Obama scandal, this biggest story of the 2008 presidential campaign being covered? To see for myself I checked in on the latest editions of FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, and the Chicago Sun Times. And what did I discover? Did I find it 'buried under a mass of propaganda and lies' as I suspected it might be? Was it relegated to the bottom of the page after the latest Oprah interview? No, it simply was not there. What could very well be the most important and damaging story of this entire election campaign and it is just not there. Nothing. Not even a mention. A presidential candidate, who has passionately campaigned on the promise of immediate withdrawal of all American forces from Iraq, who has no legal authority whatsoever to negotiate on behalf of the United States, particularly when these negotiations were carried out in secret, we now discover had been surreptitiously attempting to pressure the Iraqi Government into delaying the departure of American troops to further his own personal political aims and not one of these major news outlets decided to cover the story.

This, then, is what it boils down to. It really is going to be us versus them. Us, the American people versus the leftist, Bush-hating, antiwar, elitist media, and the powerful Obama machine. They will purposely ignore it and hope it goes away. They will be counting on our proverbial short attention span. They are gambling that we will quickly lose interest in this story and move on to the next Oprah interview, or become so totally consumed in the possible Wall Street meltdown that we will just forget all about it.

But we won't, will we? What Barack Obama purportedly did in secret in Iraq was inexcusable, cynical, immoral, and quite possibly a crime. And we, the American people will see that this latest and most outrageous scandal will not be swept under the rug. Barack Obama must be brought to justice. Before the election. We must not, we can not let up. Our whole future is at stake.-rg

From Magna Carta to Sharia Law – Britain’s Decline

The Brussels Journal
From the desk of A. Millar on Mon, 2008-09-15

Before the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, few us knew anything about Islam, and no one had heard of sharia law. A couple of years ago even, it seemed unimaginable that Britain would adopt Islamic law.

We have sunk further and quicker than we thought possible. Today we learned that sharia courts (which have operated illegally in Britain until now) are being re-classed as tribunal hearings, making their judgments legally binding. According to the Daily Express, “new powers have been given to tribunals in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester with the network’s headquarters in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Two more courts are being planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.” According to the Daily Mail, this “[…] new network of courts […] agree[s] to be bound by traditional sharia law, and under the 1996 Arbitration Act the court's decisions can then be enforced by the county courts or the High Court.”

It is almost unbelievable that this should occur in a modern, democratic, Western country, and, moreover, under a government that claims to be liberal, and to care about the right of women and homosexuals among others. But, tracing the actions of the pro-Islamic Labour Party, and of modern liberalism more generally, it should have been predictable. Modern liberalism is not a force for human rights and equality (though it still uses these terms where they can be of use in breaking down British tradition); it is a selfish urge for freedom for one’s own self – others be damned. Multiculturalism frees the liberal from the demands of ‘culture.’ Mass immigration frees him from the need to know his history. Invoking the Inquisition of three hundred years ago frees him from having to confront the reality of Islamic fundamentalism. The establishment of sharia law no doubt frees him from holding any position whatsoever.

I have pointed out before, that the Labour government has colluded with extremist Muslims, even employing a Holocaust denier as an advisor on Muslim affairs. Ken Livingstone, the former Left-wing Mayor of London, has also openly embraced Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a man who believes that wives can be beaten into submission, that homosexuals should be executed, and pregnant Israeli women should be murdered. The UK’s Left-wing Respect Coalition Party asserts that opposition to radical Islam is “the new racism,” and this dangerous sentiment is now received wisdom among those closer to the center of the political spectrum. But Islam is neither a race nor ethnicity, but a religion, and one that has Asian, Black, and White followers. A 2006 UK government report entitled ‘Young Muslims and Extremism,’ notes that a significant number of White Britons were being drawn into Islamic terrorism, and we have seen a few example of White Muslim jihadis since then.

The sharia courts operating in Britain, will hear and pass legally binding judgment on cases involving divorce, financial disputes, and even domestic violence. But, it will not end there. According to the Daily Mail, sharia court officials have said, that they hope, “[…] to take over growing numbers of 'smaller' criminal cases in future,” and extremist clerics have already asserted their aims to establish sharia law for everyone in Britain. Only yesterday, the Sun newspaper showed a video of radical clerics announcing plans to take over Britain:

It may be by pure conversion that Britain will become an Islamic state. We may never need to conquer it from the outside.
This, among other similar pronouncements, was made at a rally billed as a debate on whether the West had “learned the lessons” of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Apparently, we have not.

Sharia law regards women as inferior to men, and non-Muslims as inferior to Muslims, and it demands the execution of homosexuals. Sharia courts in Britain have already tried cases in domestic violence, and have issued no punishments beyond requiring the abuser get mentoring from Muslim elders and to attend anger management classes. In my opinion, this is an entirely unacceptable judgment for those who inflict violence on women. According to the Daily Mail, again:
In one recent inheritance dispute in Nuneaton, a Muslim man's estate was split between three daughters and two sons with each son receiving twice as much as each daughter – in keeping with sharia law.
The establishment of sharia law in Britain, even on a minor scale, not only undermines British law and culture of equality ‘under the law,’ with cases judged by a jury of one’s peers, but is implicitly menacing to people of all non-Muslim religions, atheists, conservatives, women, homosexuals, and people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Conservatives and Christians have criticized the so-called “gay lifestyle,” and liberals have always furiously denounced those conservatives and Christians for saying this. But liberals are those who have remained utterly silent when extremist Muslim clerics have called for the execution of homosexuals or the beating of women. The liberal establishment generally, and the Labour government in particular, has betrayed their professed belief in human rights and equality, and are ushering in extremism and intolerance. If their proposed new Bill of Rights for the UK goes ahead as planned, extremist Muslims may have yet another advantage, as it is proposed that religious minorities will be given additional rights, thus possibly reinforcing sharia.

Whatever their difference, the people of Britain must form a broad coalition to oppose such extremism. The homosexual man or woman, the Hindu, Sikh, and atheist, have as much to lose as the White British Christian.

Emphasis in the article above is mine.

From Dean: Britain is in deep trouble and has been for sometime. For more read this, Sharia Law Invades Britain, by Phyllis Chessler.  And  if you haven't read Melanie Phillips Londonistan please consider doing so.

If you think it can't possibly happen here or to our neighbors in the north, THINK again. The creep of Islam and Shari'a law has already hit our shores. We have ourselves to thank for allowing this abomination to continue.

"Thank you for your magnificent work ..."

Army Gen. David H. Petraeus and Iraqi Defense Minister Abd al-Qadir al-Mufriji salute while passing the Iraqi flag during a farewell ceremony for Petraeus Sept. 15, 2008, in Baghdad. Petraeus is turning over command of Multinational Force Iraq to Army Gen. Raymond T. Odierno. Courtesy photo (source)

Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and Civilians of
Multi-National Force-Iraq:

It has been the greatest of privileges to have been your commander for the
past 19 months. During that time,we and our civilian and Iraqi partners have
been engaged in an exceedingly complex, difficult, and important task. And in the
face of numerous challenges, we and our partners have helped bring new hope to a
country that was besieged by extremists and engulfed in sectarian violence.

When I took command of Multi-National Force-Iraq in February 2007, I noted
that the situation in Iraq was hard but not hopeless. You have proven that
assessment to be correct. Indeed, your great work, sacrifice, courage, and skill
have helped to reverse a downward spiral toward civil war and to wrest the
initiative from the enemies of the new Iraq.

Together, Iraqi and Coalition Forces have faced determined, adaptable, and
barbaric enemies. You and our Iraqi partners have taken the fight to them, and
you have taken away their sanctuaries and safe havens. You have helped secure
the Iraqi people and have enabled, and capitalized on, their rejection of
extremism. You have also supported the Iraqi Security Forces as they have grown
in number and capability and as they have increasingly shouldered more of the
responsibility for security in their country.

You have not just secured the Iraqi people, you have served them, as well.
By helping establish local governance, supporting reconstruction efforts,
assisting with revitalization of local businesses, fostering local reconciliation, and conducting a host of other non-kinetic activities, you have contributed significantly to the communities in which you have operated. Indeed, you have been builders and diplomats as well as guardians and warriors.

The progress achieved has been hard-earned. There have been many tough days
along the way, and we have suffered tragic losses. Indeed, nothing in Iraq has
been anything but hard. But you have been more than equal to every task.

Your accomplishments have, in fact, been the stuff of history. Each of you
should be proud of what has been achieved and of the contributions you continue
to make. Although our tasks in Iraq are far from complete and hard work and tough
fights lie ahead, you have helped bring about remarkable improvements.

Your new commander is precisely the right man for the job. General Ray
Odierno played a central role in the progress achieved during the surge. He
brings tremendous skill, experience, and understanding as he returns to Iraq for
a third tour and takes the helm of MNF-I just seven months after relinquishing
command of MultiNational Corps-Iraq. I have total confidence in him, and I will
do all that I can as the commander of Central Command to help him, MNF-I, and our Iraqi partners to achieve the important goals that we all share for the new Iraq.

Thank you for your magnificent work here in the “Land of the Two Rivers.” And thank you for your sacrifices-and for those of your families–during this crucial phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am honored to have soldiered with you
in this critical endeavor.

With great respect and all best wishes
David H. Petraeus
General, United States Army
Commanding

Thank you, General

Last year, I named General Petraeus one of "MY Heroes of the Year"(here).

This was at a time when none of the US msm saw fit to acknowledge the tremendous contributions the General has made during his service to America, to the US military, and by extension to the people of Iraq. This was also the time when the politicians were flapping their jaws, determined to declare defeat in the military's mission of bringing stability to a tyrant ravaged area of our world. Can anybody forget the disgraceful disrespect that the politicans showed our General when he gave his report? Meanwhile the Sunday Telegraph of London followed my lead (lol) and then named General Petraeus their Person of the Year:

The critics said it couldn’t be done, but the vision and determination of General David Petraeus have brought greater security and cause for optimism to the people of Iraq. He is The Sunday Telegraph’s Person of the Year.

For a man whose critics say he is far too fond of the television cameras, General David Petraeus, commander of US forces in Iraq, has been rather out of the limelight this Christmas.

The sprightly, media-friendly 55-year-old is not perturbed, however, that his face is no longer number one item on the US networks. As he said last week, where Iraq is concerned, “No news is good news.”

Today, we put him in the spotlight again by naming Gen Petraeus as The Sunday Telegraph’s Person of the Year, a new annual accolade to recognise outstanding individual achievement.

He has been the man behind the US troop surge over the past 10 months, the last-ditch effort to end Iraq’s escalating civil war by putting an extra 28,000 American troops on the ground.

So far, it has achieved what many feared was impossible. Sectarian killings are down. Al-Qaeda is on the run. And the two million Iraqis who fled the country are slowly returning. Progress in Iraq is relative - 538 civilians died last month. But compared with the 3,000 peak of December last year, it offers at least a glimmer of hope.

Nonetheless, why should we choose to nominate Petraeus

[ ... ] (here)

It is said that the victors get to write history. General Petraeus is far too busy still, to be doing the writing of history. But I believe that history will be kind to him, and he WILL be acknowledged as someone who changed the course of history for the better. As his assumes his new command, and the politicians continue apace shooting off their mouths, I am reminded of an expression I try to live by:

"By your deeds shall you be known".

General Petraeus is an inspiration to me, and to many. General Petraeus: you and I may never meet (although you ARE on my short list of people to interview...nudge, nudge.lol) but I will always honour your service.

Thank you, sir!

Myth vs Fact

Myth Fact
Islam: Religion of peace. Sahih Muslim Book 020, Number 4696:

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: One who died but did not fight in the way of Allah nor did he express any desire (or determination) for Jihid died the death of a hypocrite.

'Abdullah b. Mubarak said: We think the hadith pertained to the time of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him).

Daily Kos' Latest Defense of Their 9/11 Cartoon: It Never Happened -- AN UPDATE

Screenshot capture courtesy of Doc Weasel.com

A note From Radarsite: "...the radar guy faked you out, dude..."
There is nothing I would like more than to drop this whole miserable episode with Daily Kos and its rabid supporters, but they just won't let me. The DK has now deleted this post and all references to it from their site. Thus, it never happened. It was a made-up story, a Republican ploy, another Republican ploy. The Daily Kos never did such a thing. All of those outraged articles that flooded the Internet were only condemning a chimera. Those (literally) thousands of readers who descended on Radarsite to voice their disgust about that horrific piece were all suffering from some form of mass hysteria. And again, those (literally) thousands of sincere Democrats who came onto Radarsite specifically to unequivocally distance themselves from this obscenity were merely victims of a clever Republican ruse. There was never any such cartoon, and there was never any such posting. [Update: See screenshot above]
As difficult as it may be, I'll not succumb to the temptation to use that Orwellian quote about 'he who controls the past...' But I will say this. There are no limits to the extremes of our adversaries, no moral boundaries, no traces of decency, and finally, no sense of shame. None at all.

Here, then, once again our some sample comments lifted from the comments thread at the History Channel Boards. This is the mentality of the enemy.- rg

that "quote" is NOT ON THEIR WEBSITE
Sep 14, 2008 8:57 PM
i just looked at the whole day-full of posts. kos and crew were busy.... but the little poster and quote you refer to were not on his website.... you have been tricked..... the radar guy faked you out, dude.... check it out for yourself: google the quote: "All this 9/11 worship is ghoulish and downright silly. Some Brit on b3ta.com is even making fun of our pompous charade." and all you get is conservative reactionary sites lambasting Kos for something he didn't write....

And:

the fact that those conservatives would MAKE UP STORIES and attribute them to Kos, and then rag on him for days for stuff he didn't write.. that is really too much!!

perhaps somebody who still thinks that this actually appeared on daily kos could show us where it is/was???

yeah, i thought not...
