Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass) slammed the Bush administration on Wednesday for its reluctance to take bold action on climate change, but the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee added that the White House does not represent the view of the American people on the issue.I guess this is one more prime example of the insignificance of this dunce...the once upon a time Presidential Aspirant. Thank God he lost. Pot? Meet Kettle. Moron.
Kerry, who just returned from the climate negotiations in Bali, Indonesia, at which he represented Congress, criticized the Bush administration for standing in the way of a stronger agreement on the issue. The senator stated, however, that the opportunities of this White House to stand in the way of action are dwindling.
"The world needs to know: This White House doesn't represent the American people today, and it cannot represent America's policy beyond January 2009," Kerry said, pointing to state and local efforts to address climate change.
"The reality is, the Bush White House is increasingly irrelevant to any future agreement," the senator added in a speech at the Center for American Progress Action Fund.
Kerry said that, despite the administration's efforts, the so-called "Bali roadmap" makes progress on the issue. [...]

The MSM, because that is how they have sold it, and the Democrats, because that is how they got elected...Both the MSM and the Democrats worked in tandem to get the message out: We will not be successful in Iraq. When evidence points to the contrary, silence, or people who should have remained silent or fired. When will this cone of silence be lifted? Could this be what Kristol was talking about? [...]

An astonishing turnaround occurred in the Senate onTuesday: 70 senators voted to fund the Iraq war with a fresh $70 billion and no strings attached. Think about this a moment. Last winter, after Democrats captured the Senate and House, it seemed likely they'd succeed in limiting or ending the Iraq war, probably by setting a firm timetable for withdrawal of American troops. After all, both President Bush and the war itself were highly unpopular. The Democratic triumph in the election made that clear, even to those who doubted opinion polls. And Democrats made the anti-Iraq crusade their top priority in the new Congress. Now, the 70-vote approval of the war by the Senate represents the breathtaking dimension of their failure.
