Please Do Not Feed The Trolls

~Snooper~

I "found" the following while experiencing the adventures of the moonbat realm at Digital Journal. The trolls are fairly thick over there but they are totally dispensable with facts and wit. The moonbats certainly are not worthy of A Newt One commentary but, an author over there, a moderate and now a member of our Group of Conservative Bloggers, has keen input and the articles the author pens is worthy of study. I had a brain spasm and have lost the link to the authors' blog. As soon as I obtain their link, I will post it and link-back accordingly that which I "found"...enjoy.

Poor trolls. LMAO!!

Moonbat Intelligence - The Myth

~Snooper~

What drives the Leftinistra and their moppets called Moonbats? Simplifying the answer, via the shortened version is BDS. Many moons ago back in January 2007, the Strategy Page posted a relevant piece, revealing that which we already knew but placed in a one-stop shop. The lauded piece is entitled "Top 10 Myths of The Iraq War". (HT to Dr Sanity)

One will need to visit the link provided to read the ill-fated and now defunct and debunked verbiage. I'll not waste key strokes placing the verbiage here.

MYTH ONE
No Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)
Not to beleaguer the reader with a plethora of "We told you so" verbiage, access the page linked and read the whole report that the Leftinistra will not accept. I will, however, start the education process. The WMD issue was and is still very real:

Finally, there are some definitive answers to the mystery of the missing WMD. Civilian volunteers, mostly retired intelligence officers belonging to the non-partisan IntelligenceSummit.org, have been poring over the secret archives captured from Saddam Hussein. The inescapable conclusion is this: Saddam really did have WMD after all, but not in the way the Bush administration believed. A 9,000 word research paper with citations to each captured document has been posted online at LoftusReport.com, along with translations of the captured Iraqi documents, courtesy of Mr. Ryan Mauro and his friends.

This Iraqi document research has been supplemented with satellite photographs and dozens of interviews, among them David Gaubatz who risked radiation exposure to locate Saddam's underwater WMD warehouses , and John Shaw, whose brilliant detective work solved the puzzle of where the WMD went. Both have contributed substantially to solving one of the most difficult mysteries of our decade. [...]
On top of the "banned weapons" and "associated equipment" found in Iraq during the progression of the War In Iraq, John Loftus and the myriad of investigators are still working out the details.

MYTH TWO
The 2003 Invasion was Illegal
This is the classic "prove me wrong" rhetoric which is entirely baseless and fraudulent in the very premise of the ill-fated argument. A State of War between Iraq and The United States was still in affect since the cease-fire "agreement" in 1991. Before the Persian Gulf War ever began against the occupiers of Kuwait, the President received the proper authorization to drive Saddam from Kuwait. One can conclude that it was a "legal op". The cease-fire agreement was negotiated and a State of War existed until such a time that Saddam fully complied. He never did and continually fired on Coalition Forces for nearly 12 years which redsulted in UN Resolution 1441. Hence, the "legality" of the war is a moot point.

MYTH THREE
Sanctions were working
Yes, and I am the King of Siam. One would have to be a mental midget to think that and the proof is in the multiple UN Resolutions violated and gone widely ignored by Saddam. Des the scandal known as Oil For Food ring a bell? A Texan mans has recently been convicted of that scandal, by the way. I suppose GWB conspired that one as well, eh?
MYTH FOUR

Overthrowing Saddam Only Helped Iran
Another logical fallacy and no one has come up with a viable example to support the claim. Iran has taken advantages yes and as been perpetrating Acts Of War against the United States internal of Iraq. Our cowards in DC are spineless to do anything about that, however.
MYTH FIVE

The Invasion Was a Failure
Well, tell that to the People of Iraq these days. Perhaps the Leftinistra should pay more attention to reality. Even Murtha disagrees.
MYTH SIX

The Invasion Helped Al Qaeda
To do what? Self-destruct as they have? OBL in recent months has conceded defeat and as AQ did in Afghanistan as we trounced AQ and the Taliban - leaving a few behind to carry on the battle and move on - so it is now. Just in case no one has been paying attention. The fighting has relocated to Afghanistan and Pakistan. I find it increasingly difficult to comprehend why the moonbats hang onto this pathetic argument.
MYTH SEVEN

Iraq Is In A State of Civil War
Again, peace is breaking out all over Iraq.

MYTH EIGHT
Iraqis Were Better Off Under Saddam
This argument is so retarded I won't dignify it with the obvious to the oblivious.
MYTH NINE

The Iraq War Caused Islamic Terrorism to Increase in Europe
See MYTH EIGHT answer.
MYTH TEN

The War in Iraq is Lost
See MYTH SEVEN answer. This is a no brainer if one has been paying attention for the last 9 months.

The Leftinistra are a sorry lot. Their moonbat moppets are even worse.

Dr Sanity goes on to explain pretty much the Pathology involved that drive the moonbats and the Leftinistra. The first three paragraphs will be placed here but you have to go read the other 20+ or so.
The fact that Iraq has sort of dropped off the radar of both the MSM and the Democrats should tell you how fast both are retreating from their original talking points. They know that promoting defeat at this point in time is a losing stance for them in 2008--except of course, for the lunatic fringe of their base. Meanwhile, Bush's poll numbers seem to be rising, much to Democrat's dismay...and their own Congressional approval rating hovers near record lows.

The Democrats and the left live (and die) by polls. Popularity means everything to them. Other people's opinions are the foundation of all their "principled" stands on issues--so watch for a significant shift in their principles in the days to come.

But let's not deceive ourselves. Such a shift would not indicate any real alteration of their unbelievable self-induced blindness and utter refusal to acknowledge the realities of Islamic fanaticism and the war on terror. To do that would require a fundamental re-assessment of their socialist/leftist/PC ideology itself. [...]

Can I hear an AMEN? I could have sworn that I wrote those three paragraphs!!

Moonbat intelligence -- an oxymoron.

Sons of Apes and Pigs

Yeah, that's what they call us, and its the name of a new web site created by a Copt whose mission is the exposure & defeat of Islam.

The site's content and rhetoric cause me to believe that its author is a wise old gentleman responsible for converting many Muslims to Christianity; one the enemy would dearly love to kill. He knows Islam from the inside & from experts. He is full of fervency & zeal, and he will persevere to the end.

In any case, the Sons of Apes and Pigs contains much useful information and I expect it to grow. The mission is worthwhile, and I urge all lovers of life & liberty to aid and support it to the utmost of your ability. Link to it, add it to your blog roll, read it and spread the word.

Myth vs Fact-Part 177

Myth Fact
Islam: Religion of peace.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 61:

Narrated Anas:

My uncle Anas bin An-Nadr was absent from the Battle of Badr. He said, "O Allah's Apostle! I was absent from the first battle you fought against the pagans. (By Allah) if Allah gives me a chance to fight the pagans, no doubt. Allah will see how (bravely) I will fight." On the day of Uhud when the Muslims turned their backs and fled, he said, "O Allah! I apologize to You for what these (i.e. his companions) have done, and I denounce what these (i.e. the pagans) have done." Then he advanced and Sad bin Muadh met him. He said "O Sad bin Muadh ! By the Lord of An-Nadr, Paradise! I am smelling its aroma coming from before (the mountain of) Uhud," Later on Sad said, "O Allah's Apostle! I cannot achieve or do what he (i.e. Anas bin An-Nadr) did. We found more than eighty wounds by swords and arrows on his body. We found him dead and his body was mutilated so badly that none except his sister could recognize him by his fingers." We used to think that the following Verse was revealed concerning him and other men of his sort: "Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah.........." House and Senate Democrats at Each Others Throats

Lets start with the titled reference first, Senate and House Democrats are starting to get nasty with each other, each side making accusations against the other.

The House Democrats accusations:

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) accuses Senate Democratic leaders of developing "Stockholm syndrome," showing sympathy to their Republican captors by caving in on legislation to provide middle-class tax cuts paid for with tax increases on the super-rich, tying war funding to troop withdrawal timelines, and mandating renewable energy quotas. If Republicans want to filibuster a bill, Rangel said, Reid should keep the bill on the Senate floor and force the Republicans to talk it to death.

What Rangel seems to be forgetting is Reid tried that exact method last summer, over war funding and it didn't work out quite the way he was hoping, it didn't gain him anything but a sleepless night.

The accusations from the Senate Democrats against the House Democrats is something I have pointed out many times. The house consistently takes their famous roll call votes, supposedly proving that they are doing their jobs, ignoring the basic, simple, fact that if the bill holds no compromises, it will not pass the Senate and neither house has enough votes to override a Presidential veto, even it did manage to get passed the Senate, which means the House didn't do their job at all.

Senate Democrats have fired back, accusing Pelosi and her liberal allies of sending over legislation that they know cannot pass in the Senate, and of making demands that will not gain any GOP votes. Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) noted that, this summer, Reid employed just the kind of theatrics Rangel and other House Democrats are demanding, holding the Senate open all night, pulling out cots and forcing a dusk-till-dawn debate on an Iraq war withdrawal measure before a vote on war funding. Democrats gained not a single vote after the all-night antics.

"I understand the frustration; we're frustrated, too," Bayh said. "But holding a bunch of Kabuki theater doesn't get anything done."

It has gotten so nasty that David Obey (D-Wis), told Roll Call, "I'll tell you how soon I will make a decision when I know how soon the Senate sells us out."

The House continues to send bill after bill to the Senate, knowing before it every gets there that the Senate does not have the votes to pass the bill and many simply die there and the ones that don't die, are compromised to garner enough votes to pass.

A perfect example of this is the AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax), the House passed it with major tax increases (instead of simply reducing spending to pay for it) and the Senate scaled it back, cut the tax increases out of it and passed it, which meant it had to go back to the House.

The house, added in another clause,to stop hedge fund managers from deferring compensation in offshore tax havens, once again knowing it cannot pass the Senate, and now it goes back to the Senate where in order to get it passed, that clause has to come out, or it will be vetoed and neither house has the votes to override the veto.

The House continues to play this game, knowing full well that the Department of Treasury told them, in writing, back in late October, that if the AMT wasn't passed by mid November, million upon millions of American taxpayers may have their refunds delayed.

Another example of this, the SCHIP (State Childrens Health Insurance Plan), like gerbils running on that stupid little wheel in their cage and getting nowhere, the politicians pass a bad bill meant for children, which in actuality covers over 500,000 adults, meant for children of low income families, which in actuality covers children from families that earn up to 300% above poverty level, it gets vetoed and they did not have the votes to override the veto. (Which they knew before they started this process)

What did they do next?

They passed a bill that still did not address those concerns and yesterday it got vetoed and, once again, they do not have the votes to override the veto.

The House seems to think that their supporters are so stupid they cannot tell the difference between a 'record number" of house votes that have no chance of becoming law, and passing legislation that can actually be signed into law.

The games keeps getting played and nothing gets done, then right before their vacation they go on a mad dash to get everything passed and because they shot for the moon the first dozen times around, when they finally compromise as they should have done to begin with, they are accused of caving in, or of bowing to Bush's demands, as the two headlines from The Hill and the Washington Post state.

All these political games the House is playing could be the reason that in the latest Gallup poll, Bush's approval ratings have risen and Congressional approval ratings have not.

Bush's numbers could have risen for a number of reasons, the recent progress in Iraq, the economy, the low unemployment rate, maybe even because he is fighting against raised taxes and possibly a combination of all of that.

It is no surprise at all though why the numbers for Congress remain virtually unchanged.

The politicians will definitely need their Christmas vacation to recover from the major blitz that has followed these last chaotic days in session.
