The Innocence of Islamic Jihad: Textual Citations in the Trailer

Several Qur'an verses are cited in the trailer; they are quoted in this bullet list with links to their source, context and exegesis.

9:123 O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

2:193 And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allâh) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allâh (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zâlimûn (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)

Al-Mizan, a Shi'ia tafsir, discusses the offensive jihad verses of 8:39 & 9:29, which are not mentioned in the trailer, in the context of 2:190. I can not link directly to it; select Surah al-Baqarah, verse 190, which is ostensibly related to defensive/retaliatory warfare, while the others are offensive. .

She expressed her expectation of being ushered into the presence of Allah in al-Firdhause as soon as her deed was done. Note that lying Muslims assert that Jihad is Jihad an-Nafs, which is mentioned and deprecated in Islamic law, but they never tell us how anyone died or got killed in striving against his ego or temptations. One gets killed in Jihad Asghar, as per 9:111, not in Jihad Akbar.

Poverty, deprivation, repression, suppression, colonialism & occupation are superficial pretexts, not basic motivating factors. Imams & Mullahs first demonize the intended victims, blaming them for every evil under the sun and equating their actions with every imaginable injustice. Then they remind the Islamic congregation of their obligation to Allah. The proper name for that process is rabble rousing.

Jihad is required by normative Islamic doctrine. Individuals are motivated to participate by belief in Allah's imperatives, threat & promise. Their emotions are stirred and escalated by demonization of the infidels to be attacked.

Jihad is ordained for Muslims: 2:216 Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.

Offensive Jihad is fard al-kifaya: binding on all eligible male Muslims jointly & severally until a sufficient number have responded.

Must be performed in every year if there is sufficient manpower and material to carry it out.
All who know of the communal obligation yet fail to perform it when possible are sinners.

In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the (Muslim) mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.

Jihad is carried on with the hand, heart, tongue and purse. Muslims unable or unwilling to take weapons in hand and engage in the fighting should pray for victory, engage in propaganda and spend Zakat for the upkeep of Mujahideen and their families. Failure to perform those duties has consequences.

They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .

How to restore peace and security?

Make the believers extinct and the world an Islam free zone by inducing mass apostasy. Jihad can only be stopped by extinction because of belief in Allah's imperatives, threat and promise. While men believe that Allah commands them to conquer the world and will condemn them to the fire if they don't go to war or admit them to his celestial bordello if they fight in his cause, they wiull wage war. Jihad can only end when their faith or their lives come to an end.
