Call For Help--Soldier's Angels in Tucson
As a Tucson member of Soldier's Angels, I need to get this out as far and wide as possible. This young man needs some TLC and his family needs all the support they can get. Below is the email I received; contact me at the email address on the front page here so I can get further information out to those that can help.
Hello Fellow Angels,
We are calling on all Tucson area angels for assistance. Soldier's Angels was contacted a few weeks ago by the Tucson VA about a Vet that had come home from Iraq and found out that he had Leukemia. The VFW in Tucson banded together and found a Bone Marrow Donor and he had a transplant. The VA asked if Soldier's Angels could have the air ducts and Air conditioner cleaned and serviced and also pay to have their house to be cleaned so that he could come home from the hospital. [Redacted] agreed to have it done for them and the work has been scheduled. [Redacted] spoke with the Vet's mother today and he should be home in the next week; 2 at the most.
We are now calling on all Angels in the area to see if any can provide some food for the family when this special soldier is home from the hospital. He lives with his parents and is in his 20's. I am hoping that angels could donate food or money for [Redacted] to pick up frozen things like Lasagna and casseroles that the family could put in the oven and cook once he gets home, so that his mother doesn't have to worry about a meal everyday for them. As [Redacted] says, "Wing tip to wing tip"! I know we can get this done and help this Vet and his family. Please let [Redacted] and myself know if you can provide any assistance to this family. [Redacted] is in Tucson and will be the one coordinating with the family.
