Political Correctness : Double Edged Sword

News of the following on line petition arrived by email: Condemn Anti-Semitism at UC Irvine. Even though I am sympathetic to the cause, and one of the early endorsements comes from a fellow blogger whom I respect and consider a friend, I am unwilling to endorse it.

The petition complains of a Muslim Student Union project: “Israel: The Politics of Genocide”, which is predicted will "demonize Israel and make false and hateful accusations against Israel and Jews". The petition calls upon the Chancellor to condemn the event and its sponsor.

I believe that universities should be bastions of free speech and open debate, where all viewpoints can be aired, supported and opposed without fear or favor. Neither censorship, intimidation nor physical assault should be allowed on campus.

When deceptive propaganda is promulgated, it should be identified as such and refuted with relevant, verifiable facts. If bigots are invited to spew hatred on campus, their visits should be proceeded by exposure of their curriculum vitae including previous false or hateful expressions. Let debate be open, vitae and voluminous.

The Terrorism Awareness Project sponsors an annual Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week. The attempts to censor IFAW expose the true bigotry, that of the Islam appeasing left wing.

I previously wrote in opposition to David Horowitz's campaign to censor the hadith collection at USC, sponsored by the local Muslim Student Association. When Israel is falsely accused of genocidal intentions & actions, these ahadith Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6981... Book 041, Number 6985 offer an opportunity to rub the Muslim's snouts in their deception.

Is the MSA anti-semitic? Obviously! After all, it is Islamic. Islam is intrinsically anti-semitic. Hatred of Jews is inculcated in the Qur'an and takes its ultimate form in the above mentioned ahadith, which indicate that the Muslims can not enter Paradise until they hunt down and kill the last remaining Jews.

Is the MSA a proponent of genocide? Obviously! Again, because it is Islamic. Allah places a high value on "great slaughter", making it Moe's price of admission to Paradise. Killing and wounding "many of them" is also prescribed as a prerequisite for holding prisoners for ransom. Moe's genocide against the Banu Qurayzah is exemplary. I assume that the critics of the MSA are unwilling to mount a direct frontal assault upon the real evil because they are loathe to be branded "Islamophobes". A petition condemning an Islamic organization should clearly state the real reasons for condemning it, and present the relevant evidence, without reservation.

Ahmadinejad: UN Racism Conference Part 1.

The statement in block quote format is from [Statement by the Islamic Republic of Iran as delivered (unofficial transcript)] as published by Eye on the UN. Since the prepared speech is ten pages long and presents a target rich environment, I am dividing my analysis of the Iranian President's address to the U.N. Racism Conference into several posts.
In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Thanks to God, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and praise be upon our master and prophet, Muhammad and his immaculate progeny and true followers. O God, hasten the reappearance of the Hidden Imam and grant him health and victory and make us his true companions and believers and those who testify to His rightfulness.

Praise belongs to the just, merciful, and compassionate God. May God's blessing be upon the prophets, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and the last prophet His Holiness Muhammad Mustafa, who called for monotheism, fraternity, kindness, human dignity, and justice.

President Ahmadinejad opened his speech with praise for Allah and a supplication for the Mahdi, that he be granted victory. According to Islamic tradition, the Mahdi is a direct descendant of Moe. He will come shortly before the end of the world and complete Islam's global conquest.

President Ahmadinejad described Moe as "
our master and prophet", as if he were addressing a purely Islamic audience, apparently ignoring the Christians and atheists present at the conference.

Theocratic praise & supplication seems to be a strange way to keynote a global, secular conference on progress against racism. Allah is described as merciful & compassionate.
  • Bukhari Volume 8, Book 81, Number 791:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah 's Apostle said, "Allah curses the thief who steals an egg (or a helmet) for which his hand is to be cut off, or steals a rope, for which his hand is to be cut off."
  • 24:2. The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allâh, if you believe in Allâh and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allâh's Law).
Having sampled Allah's mercy & compassion, lets take a close look at Moe's fraternity, kindness & human dignity.
  • Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
    Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."
Clearly, Islamic fraternity, kindness & dignity are for Muslims only as the blood and property of Kuffar are not sacred to Muslims. Let us conclude with a hadith about the Mahdi.
  • Abu Dawud Book 36, Number 4273:

    Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph and a man of the people of Medina will come flying forth to Mecca. Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina. When the people see that, the eminent saints of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam.

Then there will arise a man of Quraysh whose maternal uncles belong to Kalb and send against them an expeditionary force which will be overcome by them, and that is the expedition of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb. He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years, then die, and the Muslims will pray over him.

President Ahmadinejad opened his key note address on progress against racism with a prayer for the Mahdi's immediate appearance and conquest of the world. That seems to be a strange way to commence a conference of an organization whose mission is to establish and preserve peace.

SPECTER Accents 100 Days Debacle

SPECTER Accents 100 Days Debacle
link to:
http://www.wamaction.org/NewsRoom.html
W.A.M. Press Release
If it seems to you that the "Change Administration" continues to expend its primary energies to campaigning rather than governing, you're on the right track. With scores of Executive Branch positions still left vacant, the spectacle unveiled for Obama's 100 Day mark apparently took most of the Administration's energy. This included erroneous polling by supportive MainStreamMedia.
In a glaring example, an absurb AP poll, headlined on Time Warner and other outlets with this caption: "AP Poll: After Obama's 100 days, U.S. on right track."

One fly in the ointment of this much publicized poll is that it included a mere 21% Republican sampling - with a whopping 38% now identified as "Independent." As one blogger remarked, it seems that 'the communist state has arrived. AP is Pravda." What happened to the rest of the GOP? Applying the ongoing "New Party" strategy, the swiftest means to alter political reality is to use the Media to tell the public what you want to be true. This involves considerable attention and time - but if it keeps your "candidate"s popularity afloat, well, then it's worth it. And let's not leave out the new First Lady, who is also reported this week, in another fallacious poll, to be approved of by 87% of Americans - leaving many of US wondering just who did they call?!

In an astonishing report, Politico substantiates the "Obama campaign still funds operations." Its review indicates that, having entered the new year with $18 Million dollars, it's now down to a mere $10 Million."Last month alone, it paid $74,000 in payroll, $23,000 for rent, $10,000 for polling and $6,400 for travel. Other interesting payments during the first three months of the year, the period covered by Wednesday's report, included $688,000 in legal fees to the firm of Bob Bauer — the top lawyer for the campaign, the Democratic National Committee, the Obama political group Organizing for America, and the Obama family — and $6,400 to a firm founded by Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden." For more fascinating facts on the Obama- Axelrod ongoing campaign, go here:

Pulling out all the stops for his 100 Day marker not only included biased poll reports but a pointless hour of prime time coverage. Having already leveraged more prime time coverage than President Clinton was given his entire term in office - millions of viewers were coerced to sit politely through Obama's tele-prompter guided Talking Points - unchallenged by reporters. In a full hour only 13 questions were permitted, including one riveting query about what has most "enchanted" the new Commander-in-Chief since January. The rest of US may be relieved to note that, while the economy continues to sink and Barney Frank's Housing fix law has qualified one homeowner for salvation over a full 3 months, Obama has plenty of "perks" to boost his spirits. These include a bombshell of unintended "bad press" - at extravagant expense - but too inept and
careless not to be criticized. The Defense Department terrorizing of New York City, when a "photo shoot" of Air Force One, accompanied by fighter jets, swooped over
the downtown area spoke volumes of this adminstration's contempt for both protocol and public safety. Turns out this thoughtless fiasco was created on behalf of - what
else but the Change Administrations' latest marketing video. See the reaction of NewYork's mayor here, after citizens below panicked and many commercial buildings were
evacuated in a rationally-based fear that another air attack was unfolding. (See W.A.M. News Room for video)

The worst debacle of thinly disguised brainwashing, however, was GOP Senator Arlen Spectre's carefully timed announcement of his withdrawal from the Republican party to
join the un-Democratic majority with which he has been voting all year anyway! Seems his rival for the 2010 PA race, Conservative Pat Tooney is so far ahead in the polls, the
Senator has no other option for defending his re-election than to switch labels (but notgears) to bring forth more bundles of questionably sourced New Party capital by running under the Democratic banner. The price he paid? No more than his massively televised participation in this week's 100 Day marketing blitz!

In a press conference pathetically punctuated by spin and half-truths, Senator Specter defended his (no doubt planned well in advance) shift by identifying himself as a lonely "Moderate" in a party now ruled by "right-wing" Conservatives. This distorted re-branding of the GOP - and marginalizing of all who object to the "Change" Administration's overhaul of America- which began with the biased, demeaning coverage of the April 15 public protesters -shows no sign of letting up soon. It's amusing to note that Sen. Tom Harkin, who was scheduled to speak on FOX News about this political 'upset' bowed out abruptly, without explanation. This after Specter made publicly clear that his deal with Senate Majority Leader Reid provides full rights to DEM seniority - since his 1st 1980 GOP election. Specter proudly stated that he now holds party seniority over most others, including IA Sen. Harkin himself!

For all its coverage, Senator Specter's un-newsworthy flash left only one question not only unanswered but not even asked. What about the voters of Pennsylvania who elected him as a Republican??? What exactly gives him the right to change horses after he was elected by his constituents to serve - not himself - but them? If this most recent and most glaring example of Washington's abusive pattern of ignoring We the People insults you, SIGN IN to Wake Up America movement to participate in MAINSTREAM MEDIA BOYCOTT - this Grass Roots Media Reform campaign launches with MAJOR TELEVENT - WEDNESDAY PM - MAY 6!

Show Your Support for Israel

Free Opinion is running an on line poll dividing supporters of Israel & Fallestine. At present the results are running 43.1% for Israel,56.9% for Fallestine. The poll includes an opportunity to post a short comment. This is an opportunity to participate in an unscientific, self-selected survey and perhaps swing the results. I urge supporters of Israel to participate in this poll and share it with their friends.

The Muslim side is well organized and highly motivated. They vote early & often and they summon their friends and allies to join them. In the end, they use the results to support the logical fallacy of argumentum adnumerum.

Those who perceive the Fallestinians as vulnerable underdogs striving against injustice to regain their sacred homeland should read Islam's canon of scripture & tradition to discover the true foundation of the conflict. These links will assist you in finding the truth.

Sderot: Remembering the fallen and the terror continues

By Findalis

From the Sderot Media Center:

By Anav Silverman

At Madaim Alon Elementary School, principal Leora Fima stands before her students, marking the beginning of Memorial Day for Israel’s Fallen service held at the school on Tuesday morning.

The 160 students, from first grade to sixth grade, sit quietly in the school hall-- one of the last areas of the school that remains unprotected by rocket attacks.

When Principal Fima tells the students that the siren will go off at any moment in remembrance of Israel’s fallen, a first grader in the crowd asks if she means the Tzeva Adom, or Color Red siren warning of impending rockets. “No, a different siren,” responds Principal Fima.

“The students were badly affected by the impact of the Gaza war,” Principal Fima later tells Sderot Media Center. “It was very difficult to get the students back on track in terms of studying. It was impossible to get them to concentrate and their motivation was completely gone.”

During the Gaza war, many schools in southern Israel including Sderot remained closed.

However, through outside financial contributions, Madaim Alon was able to establish an intensive psychological therapy program for the students. “Once a week, each child in our school undergoes an hour of psychological therapy,” says Fima. “This has helped the students tremendously. Since Passover vacation there has been a significant change in their behavior. The kids are noticeably more relaxed.”

Madim Alon Elementary School is the only school in the western Negev which offers such counseling for students-- many of whom suffer from PTSD symptoms that result from sirens and rocket attacks.

“The kids here understand, perhaps better than anyone else, the meaning behind Remembrance Day for the Fallen of Israel’s Wars,” says Fima.

” One student even told me earlier in the week that from war, can we can strive for peace. The kids know that these young soldiers gave up their lives for us to live here today.”

Indeed, the hall was completely quiet as a Madaim Alon student read off the names of Sderot’s fallen soldiers during the ceremony. When the names of the Sderot residents killed by rocket attacks were called out loud, the silence among the children was almost deafening.

These kids have had to sacrifice so much already at such a young age. And yet they are not consumed by hatred or anger,” said Fima.

Last week Madaim Alon held a Peace Day for its students in light of Operation Cast Lead. The elementary school students organized sessions exploring how the recent Gaza war affected everyone including Palestinian children, Fima explained.

“There is a time for building bridges,” she says.

Color Red Siren Sounds in Sderot on Israel's Remembrance Day for Fallen of Israel's Wars

While those living outside of Sderot may be under the impression that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is going well, Sderot and western Negev residents continued to experience rocket fire during the recent Passover holiday and Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers earlier this week.

On Tuesday afternoon, April 28, the Tzeva Adom or Color Red siren blared throughout Sderot, sending residents racing to shelters.

On Wednesday April 16, a Qassam rocket slammed into the western Negev, with another rocket following 24 hours later. The second rocket was fired hours after the Israel Air Force struck a booby-trapped building in central Gaza.

Both rockets landed in the Eshkol region of the western Negev, in an open an area, causing no reported injuries or damages.

Since the ceasefire began on January 19, over 180 rockets including five grad rockets supplied by Iran, were fired at southern Israel according to the IDF spokesperson's office. There has been a marked decrease in the number of rockets fired at Israeli civilians since Operation Cast Lead. According to the IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, Hamas has been deterred from firing Qassam rockets into Israel since the operation.

"It is not coincidental that there is no [Kassam] rocket fire from Gaza, but we know that terrorism or attacks along the border fence, by sea or from the Gaza Strip into the Sinai Peninsula, are still on the agenda and we are therefore preparing with all the necessary measures," Ashkenazi stated on Monday, April 16, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.

Other terrorist activities have continued in Gaza. On Thursday April 13, Egyptian officials arrested nine Sinai Beduin near the Gaza border on the suspicion of smuggling weapons, merchandise and money to Hamas. Two of the suspects were caught at the Rafah border crossing in possession of more than $90,000.

Egyptian police had discovered the day before 900 kilograms of TNT hidden in 18 sacks near the Gaza border. Egyptian authorities also arrested three Palestinians on suspicion of infiltrating into the country.

On April 13, the Israeli Navy spotted an unmanned Palestinian fishing boat off the coast of the Gaza Strip. The boat was loaded with hundred of kilograms of explosives and remotely detonated as it approached an Israeli Navy ship, which distanced itself away from it. The fishing boat exploded seconds later, injuring no one.

In the past, Palestinian have tried to detonate explosives-laden ships next to Israel Navy vessels.

According to the Jerusalem Post, four Israeli sailors were wounded in 2002 when Palestinian detonated a fishing boat next to a navy patrol off northern Gaza.

In October 2000, a small ship exploded next to the USS Cole in Yemen, which killed 17 American sailors.

Also last week, Egyptian authorities cracked a Hezbollah-run terrorist ring based in Egypt. Thanks to intelligence information provided by Israel's Mossad and other foreign intelligence services including the CIA, the crackdown led Egyptian authorities to arrest dozens of suspects on Thursday April 16.

According to Ha'aretz, the head of the ring was Lebanese citizen Sami Shihab who was in touch with a special branch of Hezbollah for some time. Egyptian security sources said that the Hezbollah agents had planned a series of terrorist attacks against tourist sites in Sinai where western and Israeli tourists frequent. Egptian sources also noted that the Suez Canal was a target of the ring.

Egypt had been hunting for 13 members of the 49 member Hezbollah ring which included Lebanese and Sudanese citizens for some time. The men had taken shelter in the central Sinal town of al-Nakhl and authorities had feared that the men might escape north into Gaza located 120 miles away through secret tunnels or head further south.

A senior Egyptian source told Haaretz that "Egypt will take active measures against anyone who threatens its national security. We will not allow anyone to do this: Hezbollah, Iran or others. They sought to strike at the national security of Egypt, but luckily we stopped them and uncovered their plot."

The world does not care that over a million people live under the daily threat of rocket attacks from an entity that has sworn to kill each and every one of them. Instead it applauds and rewards the purveyors of the terror with massive amounts of financing in the guise of aid. The Obama administration alone has pledged to give $1.1 billion to help Gaza. US taxpayer funds that will go straight into the hands of Hamas. Obama is even orchestrating the means to put it directly into Hamas' hands. Funds that will not go to the people of Gaza, but to purchase the weapons of terror.

If you feel that funding terror is against the principles that this nation was founded on, then write Congress and let them know that. Let them know that you stand tall with the people of Sderot. That you do not want your tax dollars given to a known terrorist group. That $1.1 billion could be spent better here at home. Just don't be silent!

And like always, I ask you to donate to the Sderot Media Center. Just click on the logo at the top or bottom of this post.

It is time that the sirens fall silent over Sderot!
