Libby's Taken Care Of--How About Agents Ramos & Compean?

It is common knowledge our current class of idiots known as the 110th Congress is doing all they can to tie the hands of our soldiers in battle and to dictate the Rules of Engagement from their cushy chairs on Capitol Hill.

We all know (those of us that aren't totally insane with BDS, that is) this method of fighting a war is unacceptable.

We also know--or have heard--the same hand-tying is being done to our Border Patrol Agents, and, like the soldiers prosecuting a war who are themselves being prosecuted for being soldiers and doing the job they were sent to do (the Haditha Marines come to mind) our Border Patrol Agents are being similarly prosecuted for doing their jobs--in this case, protecting our borders.

Again, those of us that are sane know protecting our borders does not include prosecuting agents who do their job, imprisoning those same agents and then rewarding the illegal, drug-and-weapons carrying border jumper by allowing him to sue in US Court for his alleged mistreatment.

Just and for the sake of argument (and there hadn't better be any), for those living in a cave for the past year, this border jumper was not coming here for economic reasons or for asylum--he was coming here armed, with the express purpose of dealing drugs. He is not entitled to justice under our laws. He is not a citizen of our country. His main goal was to come into our country for illegal activities.

Agents Ramos and Compean prosecuted their jobs in trying to stop this criminal. They shot at him. Whether they shot at his back or his front, I really don't give a damn--for some reason, the current liberal thinking is the criminal needed to stop and present his front for the agents to get a "clean" shot. Methinks they should pull their heads out of their asses and quit drinking the koolaid. Again, that's the same way they want to fight our war--before our soldiers can defend either themselves or other, they have to stop (in the middle of a firefight if need be) and as for identification first.

To make a long story short, Agents Ramos and Compean were prosecuted as criminals for doing the very job they were hired to do. They have now spent over 169 days in prison for doing their jobs.

This is a complete and total miscarriage of justice and of our legal system. These men need to be out of prison, fully restored to their civil rights, all back pay, pensions and benefits returned to them and reparations made to them and their families. And then, THESE MEN need to sue the hell out of the government that put them there for doing their jobs, for performing their sworn duty, for protecting our borders from a crminal. Further, the attorney(s) and judges that prosecuted them need to be disbarred and removed from the bench, at the very least.

It seems Nifong and Fitzgerald have relatives everywhere.

After learning that he commuted the sentence of former White House aide Scooter Libby who was convicted of obstructing the investigation of a crime, I'm wondering when he’s going to pardon U.S. Border Agents Ramos and Compean?

Both of these decorated agents have been languishing in aFederal prison for 169 days, and it is time the Presidentdoes the right thing by pardoning both and reuniting themwith their families.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a great friend of Grassfire, and a true champion for these agents said it best "the President does not seem to have the same mercy for the average men andwomen holding the frontlines of our borders. Unjustly imprisoned Border Agents Ramos and Compean...deserve the same mercy afforded to Mr. Libby."

With this kind of treatment being meted out to our Border Patrol agents, just how the hell did our elected representatives expect to recruit enough Border Patrol agents to enforce their Shamnesty bill? Why would anyone want to sign up to be a Border Patrol agent if this is how they are going to be treated?

I wouldn't sign up for it--would you?

And yet, the authors of the bill thought they could ignore this kind of treatment given to OUR CURRENT AGENTS, sweep it under the rug, hope no one noticed or remembered these two men and the abhorrent way their own government--their BOSS--treated them--and hire all the agents they needed.

Apparently, they truly think we are mindless, autonomic masses to be led around by the nose--wishful thinking on their part THEY WISH WERE ALREADY TRUE.

The speech below was written in 1899! I am sending the attached short speech from Winston Churchill, delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist. Just HOW LOW Will the Libs/Dems/Scammers Go?

I have no proof dems and libs are involved in this, but frankly, after what we've seen the last six months in Congress, the corruption, money laundering, extreme ethics violations, etc., it would NOT surprise me one single iota to find they are indeed behind this in some measure.

Just what am I talking about? The Nigerian Scam with a twist. Using a US Soldier's name to get attention--a currently serving US soldier. I mean, after all, let's see how far these bottom feeding slime will take the name of the United States, engender further hatred toward those that defend our freedom, splatter them with more of the scandal that clings to dems and libs like the designer clothes they adore.

In other words, I'm royally PISSED OFF, and based on the cowards and criminals in congress, protesting in our streets, releasing shockumentaries, babbling from their soapboxes, I'm gonna say what I damn well please and if y'all don't like it, tough. MY country, MY soldiers, MY freedom of speech.

Here's what I got in my email (I've left all grammatical and structural errors intact):

FIRST of all should any of you get emails from this typical Nigerian scam, there is a government agency to report it to: phishing-report@us-cert.gov. Use this address liberally.

Second, there really is a Sgt. Justin Harris (Sgt. Justin Harris, a combat engineer who is a team leader for Company E and hails from Roseville, Calif. ), serving in Iraq. There's a wonderful story on him here entitled "Ironhorse Brigade Helps Return Kidnapped Victims A joint effort with Iraqi Police returns three men to their families."

Just how low will the scammers, the dems, the libs, the LSM, etc. go in besmirching those that defend their right to spew forth their vile? Using a hero's name to promote illegal activities and Nigerian scams? They haven't cooked up enough bullshit between Abu Ghraib, Haditha, etc.?

Lest anyone get the wrong idea Miss Beth is naive to this particular scam, let me attempt to explain why this is so enraging.

1) Congress and JAG have tied our troops hands as far as ROE goes--even prosecuting troops for doing their jobs while under fire. If anything, JAG should get off its high powered ass, use the resources at its disposal and start defending our troops instead of trying to ruin them.

At the VERY LEAST, it could issue statements stating these soldiers names are being illegally used and the soldiers named in these scams are not involved with them in any way.

THEN JAG could get off its collective ass and find out how these scammers are getting active duty soldiers names as well as their areas of ops. They could use all their intelligence to trace these scammers with an eye to putting a real hurt on THEM the way the SALADS are trying to put a hurt on our military.

2) People in this country are more than willing to believe the worst of our troops due to the SALAD brain leftoids. This is simply more cannon fodder for them to use in "proving" how rotten, egomaniacal, corrupt (you choose an adjective) our troops are. People themselves are FLAT TOO DAMN LAZY to do ANY kind of research if the initial item backs up their own particular prejudice.

This is something that should raise HUGE RED FLAGS in the minds of people who support their troops and are thankful those troops put themselves in harm's way to defend the freedoms we enjoy.

However, knowing how corrupt media outlets are, I doubt the red flags will be raised and instead, this serviceman will be spitted and roasted over an open fire before ANY apology (generally issued on the last page of a print publication in itsy-bitsy lettering) will be issued--AFTER RUINING said soldier's life and name.

3) The vocal minority (SALADS) who want to turn this country into a socialistic/fascist/communistic nation will be drooling over how this "proves" the American soldier is nothing more than a programmed killing machine out to do "the will of Halliburton/Bechtel (insert name of capitalistic entity you can't stand because they're successful and you're not) along with "Bush's capitalisitc 'regime'" and that's just wrong.

4) I just checked with Snopes--this is so new there's absolutely no information on it at the moment--so, of course, the BDS suffering SALADS will blame Bush for his "corrupt military regime" stealing "oil funds" from the Iraqis.

DON'T BUY IT---OR IF YOU DO, PACK YOUR BAGS AND GET THE HELL OUT OF AMERICA TO A COUNTRY WHERE YOUR FREEDOMS ARE NOT DEFENDED BY THE BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD.

Standing Guard

For those of you who are not members of the NRA or do not follow the attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights, pay attention.

Whether you agree with the anti-gun lobby or are a supporter of the 2nd Amendment this bill--S.1237--WILL affect you if it passes.

Wayne La Pierre, Executive Vice President of the NRA has this to say about the bill;

"....appropriately suspected...."

With the full support of Alberto Gonzales' U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg is pushing legislation to give the government unprecedented discretionary power to secretly decree that a citizen is banned from owning firearms.

The government would need nothing more than a "suspicion", using information it would not have to divulge--EVER.

Called "Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2007"--the Gonzales/Lautenberg bill, S.1237, drafted by the Justice Department--is the broadest power grab ever proposed over the Right To Keep And Bear Arms.

Harlon B. Carter, founder of the modern NRA, said, "Judge a law by the worst reading, and in the hands of the worst enemies of the Second Amendment." Think of Hillary Clinton as President and Charles Schumer as Attorney General.

Then look into Lautenberg's proposal and see what could happen to you or me if S.1237 were ever to become law.

Here is a hypothetical scenario:

Imagine you are picking up a pristine 1937 first-year Winchester Model 70. You have filled out Form 4473 at your friend Bill's shop, and wait for him to get the usual fast clearance from the National Instant Check System (NCIS). On the phone, Bill is shaking his head, very animated. He finishes his conversation and motions you over, telling you he can't transfer the rifle. You were turned down.

Bill says he argued that you were a longtime customer, a veteran, a high school teacher; he asked why the refusal? He was told only that the sale was denied. "They gave me a number for you to call," he says.

When you get home, you are still in complete shock. You call the number and are told that the refusal had something to do with "suspected terrorism" and that the government is not at liberty to say more. Terrorism? It is simply not possible!

You hire a lawyer, and he says it must be an error. Not to worry.

But the new law says, "It shall be unlawful for any person...who has been the subject of a determination by the Attorney General...to possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition..." Days later you receive an official notice that you may no longer own firearms--based on a suspicion. Your lawyer tells you to divest yourself of your firearms; however, before you can do so, federal agents arrive at your home with a search warrant and a form demanding that you surrender all firearms and ammunition.

They say you are now on the Attorney General's "suspect" list and as a prohibited person, it is a federal felony for you to possess any gun. They take your gun collection...all of it...in lieu of arrest. The agent in charge warns you to stay away from guns. They will be observing you. All they will say to your question of "why" is a reading from a card, similar to those Miranda warning cards you might see on TV: "The Attorney General has determined that you are known (or appropriately suspected) to be or have been engaged in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism, or providing material support thereof...and that the Attorney General has a reasonable belief that you may use a firearm in connection with terrorism."

A day later, your lawyer says your situation is hopelesss. You can't get your guns back. Under the law you are now a prohibited person, just like a convicted felon. He reads you the new law--which requires no criminal intent or knowledge, only suspicion: "...any information which the Attorney General relied on for this determination may be withheld...if the Attorney General determines that disclosure of the information would likely compromise national security."

You ask the lawyer, "Can't we appeal?"

He continues: "In responding to the petition, the United States may submit and the court may rely upon summaries or redacted versions of documents containing information the disclosure of which the Attorney General has determined would likely compromise national security."

At the sole discretion of the Attorney General, they can withhold anything and everything they allegedly have on you--all in the name of "national security."

You have just lost your Second Amendment rights--gun ownership is a criminal act---based on a mere "suspicion," and you cannot even find out what that suspicion is.

This outrageous scenario has not happened yet, but it could if the Gonzales/Lautenberg Brave New World-like legislation--S.1237--ever becomes law.

In creating a new criminal class of prohibited persons based on "suspicion," the same language applies to license denials, to state firearm permit denials and to sale of firearms by individuals.

The Bush administration is on record affirming the Second Amendment as an individual right, yet this bill trashes the Constitution, mocking the protections guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. It would arbitrarily take away your rights--without charges, without an arrest, without a trial and without a conviction--just because the Attorney General says so.

It denies citizens all due process of law at the sole discretion of government--something that must never happen in America.

Shockingly, Lautenberg is telling the world that he has the full support of the Bush administration and expects this measure to be signed into law.

So what are you going to do about it? Don't think this a big issue because you don't own guns?

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Cesare Beccaria)

And tell Attorney General Gonzales to wake up and withdraw his support.
