Islam is Tolerant of Other Religions



The Myth:

Religious minorities have flourished under Islam. Muslims are commanded to protect Jew and Christians (the People of the Book) and to do them no harm.

The Truth:
Religious minorities have not “flourished” under Islam. In fact, they have dwindled to mere shadows after centuries of persecution and discrimination. Some were converted from their native religion by brute force, others under the agonizing strain of dhimmitude.

What Muslims call “tolerance,” others correctly identify as institutionalized discrimination. The consignment of Jews and Christians to dhimmis under Islamic rule means that they are not allowed the same religious rights and freedoms as Muslims. They cannot share their faith, for example, or build houses of worship without permission.

Historically, dhimmis have often had to wear distinguishing clothing or cut their hair in a particular manner that indicates their position of inferiority and humiliation. They do not share the same legal rights as Muslims, and must even pay a poll tax (the jizya). They are to be killed or have their children taken from them if they cannot satisfy the tax collector’s requirements.
For hundreds of years, the Christian population in occupied Europe had their sons taken away and forcibly converted into Muslim warriors (known as Jannisaries) by the Ottoman Turks.

It is under this burden of discrimination and third-class status that so many converted to Islam over the centuries. Those who didn’t often faced economic and social hardships that persist to this day and are appalling by Western standards of true religious tolerance and pluralism.

For those who are not “the People of the Book,” such as Hindus and atheists, there is very little tolerance to be found once Islam establishes political superiority. The Qur’an tells Muslims to “fight in the way of Allah” until “religion is only for Allah.” The conquered populations face death if they do not establish regular prayer and charity in the Islamic tradition (ie. the pillars of Islam).

Tamerlane and other Muslim warriors slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Hindus and Buddhists, as well as displacing or forcibly converting millions more over the last thousand years.
At best, Islam has a dual personality toward other religions. In some places they are explicitly cursed by Allah, in others there appears to be a measure of tolerance shown. There are about 500 verses in the Qur’an that speak of Allah’s hatred for non-Muslims and the punishment that he has prepared for their unbelief. There is also a tiny handful that say otherwise, but these are mostly earlier verses that many scholars consider to be abrogated by the later, more violent ones. If tolerance simply means discouraging the mass slaughter of those of a different faith, then today's Islam generally meets this standard more often than not. But, if tolerance means allowing people of other faiths the same religious liberties that Muslims enjoy, then Islam is fundamentally the most intolerant religion under the sun.

Islam and the “Golden Age” of Scientific Discovery

The Myth:

Muslims often claim that their religion fostered a rich heritage of scientific discovery, “paving the way” for modern advances in technology and medicine. On this topic, they usually refer to the period between the 7th and 13th centuries, when Europe was experiencing its “Dark Ages” and the Muslim world was conquering new populations and culture.

The Truth:
Although there is no arguing that the Muslim world was more advanced during this period than the “Christian” world, the reasons for this have absolutely nothing to do with the Islamic religion (other than its mandate for military expansion). In fact, the religion actively discourages knowledge outside of itself, which is why the greatest Muslim scholars throughout history tend to be students of religion rather than science.

First, the Muslim world benefited greatly from the Greek sciences, which were translated for them by Christians and Jews. To their credit, Muslims did a better job of preserving Greek text than did the Europeans of the time, and this became the foundation for their own knowledge. (One large reason for this, however, was that access by Christians to this part of their world was cut off by the Muslim slave ships and coastal raids that dominated the Mediterranean during this period).

Secondly, many of the scientific advances credited to Islam were actually “borrowed” from other cultures conquered by the Muslims. The algebraic concept of “zero”, for example, is erroneously attributed to Islam, but it was, in fact, created by the Hindus and merely introduced to the West by Muslims - along with the products of other cultures that were found to be useful to their new rulers.
In fact, conquered populations contributed greatly to the history of “Muslim science” until gradually being decimated by conversion to Islam (under the pressures of dhimmitude). The Muslim concentration within a population is directly proportional to the decline of scientific achievement. It is no accident that the Muslim world has had little to show for itself in the last 600 years or so, since running out of new civilizations to cannibalize.

Third, even the great Muslim scientists and icons were often considered heretics in their time, sometimes for good reason. One of the greatest achievers to come out of the Muslim world was the Iranian scientist and philosopher, al-Razi. His impressive works are often held up today as “proof” of Muslim accomplishment. But what the apologists often leave out is that al-Razi was denounced as a blasphemer, since he followed his own religious beliefs – which were in obvious contradiction to traditional Islam.

Fourth, even the contributions that are attributed to Islam (often inaccurately) are not terribly dramatic. There is the invention of certain words, such as alchemy and elixir, but not much else that survives in modern technology that is of any practical significance. Neither is there any reason to believe that such discoveries would not have easily been made by the West following the cultural awakening triggered by the Reformation.

As an example of this, consider that Muslims claim credit for coffee, since the beans were discovered in Africa (at the time, an important source for Islamic slave trading) and first processed in the Middle East. While this is true, it is also true that the red dye used in many food products, from cranberry juice to candy, comes from the abdomen of a particular female beetle found in South America. It is extremely unlikely that the West would not have stumbled across coffee by now (although, to be fair, coffee probably expedited subsequent discoveries).

In fact, the litany of “Muslim” achievement often takes the form of rhapsody, in which the true origins of these discoveries are omitted - along with their comparative significance to Western achievement. Scientific, medical and technological accomplishments are not something over which Muslim apologists want to get into a pissing contest with the Christian world. Today’s Islamic innovators are known merely for turning Western technology, such as cell phones and airplanes, into instruments of mass murder.

To sum up, although the Islamic religion is not entirely hostile to science, neither should it be confused as a facilitator. The great achievements that are said to have come out of the Islamic world were made either by non-Muslims who happened to be under Islamic rule, or by heretics who usually had little interest in Islam. Scientific discovery tapers off dramatically as Islam asserts dominance, until it eventually peters out altogether.

Islam is Opposed to Slavery

The Myth:

Islam is intolerant of enslaving human beings. The religion eradicated the institution of slavery thanks to the principles set in motion by Muhammad, who was an abolitionist.

The Truth:
There is not the least bit of intolerance for slavery anywhere in the Qur’an. In fact, the “holy” book of Islam explicitly gives slave-owners the freedom to sexually exploit their slaves – not just in one place, but in at least four separate Suras. Islamic law is littered with rules concerning the treatment of slaves, some of which are relatively humane, but none that prohibit the actual practice by any stretch.

The very presence of these rules condones and legitimizes the institution of slavery. Adding to this is the fact that Muhammad was an avid slave trader. After providing ample evidence of his activities according to the most reliable Muslim biographers, the Center of the Study of Political Islam summarizes their findings:

Muhammad captured slaves, sold slaves, bought slaves as gifts of pleasure, received slaves as gifts, and used slaves for work. The Sira is exquisitely clear on the issue of slavery. (Muhammad and the Unbelievers: a Political Life)

As such, this deeply dehumanizing horror has been a ubiquitous tradition of Islam since the days of Muhammad to the current plight of non-Muslims in the Sudan, Mali, Niger and Mauritania, as well as other parts of the Muslim world.

There has never been an abolitionary movement within Islam (just as the religion produces no organized resistance to present-day enslavement). The abolition of slavery was imposed on the Islamic world by European countries, along with other political pressures that were entirely unrelated to Islamic law.
Although horrible abuses of slaves in the Muslim world were recorded, there has been little inclination toward the documentation and earnest contrition that one finds in the West. The absence of a guilty conscience often leads to the mistaken impression that slavery was not as bad under Islam... when it is actually indicative of the tolerance that the religion has for the practice
So narcissistic is the effect of Islam on the devoted, that to this day many Muslims believe in their hearts that the women and children carried off in battle, and their surviving men folk, were actually done a favor by the Muslim warriors who plucked them from their fields and homes and relegated them to lives of demeaning servitude.

Shame and apology, no matter how appropriate, are almost never to be found in Dar al-Islam. Caliphs, the religious equivalent of popes, maintained harems of hundreds, sometimes thousands of young girls and women captured from lands as far away as Europe and consigned to sexual slavery. Hungarians were hunted like animals by the Turks, who carried 3 million into slavery over a 150 year period.

African slaves were often castrated by their Muslim masters. Few survived to reproduce, which is why there are not many people of African descent living in the Middle East, even though more slaves were taken out of Africa in the 1300 years of Arab slave trading than in the 300 years of European slavery. The 400,000 slaves brought to America, for example, have now become a community of 30 million, with a much higher standard of living than their African peers.

There is no William Wilberforce or Bartoleme de las Casas in Islamic history as there is in Christianity. When asked to produce the name of a Muslim abolitionist, apologists sometimes meekly suggest Muhammad himself. But, if a slave owner and trader, who commanded the capture and sexual exploitation of slaves, and left a 13-century legacy of religiously-based slavery, is the best that Islam can offer, then no amount of sophistry will be enough to convince any but the most ignorant.

Is Obama's Life at Risk?

In eloquent speeches, presidential candidate Obama has made copious promises, understandably to attract voters. He talks about “change”, without really spelling out change from what to what. It just sounds good: “change”. A great sound bite, indeed. Change is getting elected, and worrying about delivering later.

The electorates are both short on memory and long on forgiving. So, the farce of empty high-sounding promises fill the air at campaign times. But there are instances that a promise during vote-gathering can later haunt the person. This may indeed be the case with at least one of Barack Hussein Obama’s promises.

Obama boasted that he would embark on a personal diplomacy to solve our foreign policy problems with countries such as, Syria and Iran. He said that he would meet their leaders without any preconditions to settle our disputes. Doesn’t that sound like change, a real change of great relief to us all? Never mind the fact that he has about zero experience in foreign policy matters, he is foolish enough to aim to negotiate with the ever-conniving Assad of Syria and masters of deceptions such as the Mullahs of Iran.

Okay Obama, don’t claim that no one warned you. If you get elected President and you receive an invitation from your fellow Muslim brother Ahmadinejad to make good on your promise and visit him in Tehran for a tête-à-tête, don’t you do it. BBC’s recent report ought to be enough for you to recant your foolish and naïve promise:

“The European Union has criticized the new penal code being drafted in Iran,
particularly a section that imposes the death penalty for giving up Islam…Death
for apostasy already exists in Iran under Sharia or “Islamic-law.” But the
changes would for the first timebring the punishment into the criminal
code. An EU statement expressed deep concern about what it calls the
ongoing deterioration in the human rights situation in Iran. It singled out
Section Five of the draft penal code currently before the Iranian parliament,
imposing the death penalty for apostasy. In the past, Iranian courts have
handed down the death penalty in such cases, but have done so relying on Sharia
law. If the draft is approved by parliament, the sentence will be
formalized in the country’s criminal code.”

Who is an apostate according to the legislation? Anyone in the world, not just Iranians, born to a Muslim parent; also any convert to Islam who leaves it. Only one parent needs to be a Muslim at the time of conception for Islam to own that child for life.

Islam is Ummehist. Islam doesn’t recognize nationalities and national boundaries. And these Islamist zealots are very serious and have no sense of humor. Some say they have no sense at all, and they may be right. What they certainly have is a thirst for blood, particularly for the blood of infidels and apostates.

My advice, Obama: Elected President or not, don’t you hazard a trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran. In fact, don’t you go anywhere near where the crazed Islamists can get their hands on you. You don’t even rate a fatwa from one of many bloodthirsty crafty Ayatollahs or Moftis, asking for your head. Your fate is already sealed. You are on automatic, so to speak—a person who was given the gift of Islam and who ungratefully turned his back to the one and only faith of Allah, so the Muslims believe. The punishment for this kind of betrayal is haad (most severe), meaning death.

You may protest that you are free to choose your religion and that you have chosen to be Christian. Nothing doing! You are stamped as Muslim at conception because your father was Muslim. Further, you have been doubly-stamped by your middle name Hussein. Muslims name their sons Hussein in honor of one of Islam’s most revered saints. Hence, the Muslims want what is theirs and you either repent and return to the fold or prepare yourself for the ultimate punishment: Death.

The only time that these inveterate liar killers of Allah mean what they say is when they threaten violence and killing. So, please be careful. Stay close to home where a whole platoon of Secret Service at the taxpayers’ expense is shielding you from the thugs who would be just too happy to slash your throat while they joyously scream: Allah is the greatest.

God and Allah, Are They The Same?

This will be the first in a two part discussion. You must understand Islam and what it really is before you can honestly get at the answers to your questions.

Millions have been led astray because they did not take the time to find out.

In this country and around the world we have many to ‘thank’ for the ingenious deceptions and clever lies handed to us as truth, including some of our most trusted.

Do not be deceived! Discover the answers and arm yourself with the truth!


Recently a question was asked of me, “do you feel that we worship the same God as the Muslims?”
In a word, I can answer emphatically NO.

This usually generates heated discussions among both Muslims and Christians.

There seems to be a lot of confusion among Christians regarding Islam.

Do not be confused or assume anything until you have spent some time reading and discovering the answer(s) for yourself.

Like you I knew very little about Islam or Allah.

After September 11, 2001 (and supported by prior events which I won’t list here), I decided to find out what this so called “religion of peace” was all about and discover exactly who this “Allah” was.

The Arabic definition of the word Islam is submission. Islam does not mean peace.

After many, many hours of study and research, the answer to the question asked above became clear to me.

Perhaps the most convincing argument came from ex-Muslims themselves. Many experts have written expose’s on the subject; however, the question still comes up in discussions.

When I hear or read about Christians stating that we should accept Islam as a religion and believe that Allah is the same God Christians worship I am appalled. It is perhaps one of the most misleading and deceptive aspects of Islam and is not without motive.

The followers of Islam would like very much for you to accept their claim and hope that you won’t take the time to find out the truth.

“Allah originally was the god of Sin( a pagan god) but changed to deity status by Mohammad. Many of my Jewish friends will state that Allah is the manifestation of evil and is inspired by Satan to deceive and lead people astray.”

It would not be possible for me to even try an attempt to convince you that my answer has merit in a few short sentences. The answer did not come to me easily as I struggled with my own misperceptions about this.

Many hours of study and research was required to gain an intellectually honest picture of what Islam is about.

I began to ask questions from people who already knew the answers but I still needed convincing to allay my fear of condemning another religion that apparently prayed to the same God I did.

“Allah is not God. Allah is the figment of Muhammad’s imagination. He was an Arab idol who had three daughters. Muhammad used this Pagan deity to advance his goal of domination. It was easier for him to use a known Pagan god than introduce a completely new one. So he said this big idol is the creator and the same god spoken by Jesus and Moses. Nothing is farther from the truth. Allah and Jehovah are not one and the same. The god of Jesus is the god of love. Allah is the god of hate.”


The fact is we don’t pray to the same God, nor is Islam even a religion as we understand it here in the west. So get that straight from the beginning.

Prior to my writing this I posed this same question to a friend who has a much more detailed and in depth knowledge of this subject. He has attempted the same thing I am many times, here is his response;

It needs to be done. My own attempts have not
borne fruit.

Problem: Monotheism.
There is only one God.
Allah is God.
Jehovah is God.
Allah & Jehovah must be the sameGod.

They can not conceive of the possibility that Allah
is an impotent idol.
The fact that Allah & his slaves are hateful
can not penetrate their fact shields.

The two theologies are diametrically opposed, it is
not possible for both to be simultaneously true.
Islam is 100% predestination,lacking free
will.

Knowing full well that this article will likely generate controversy and opposition to my stance, I will submit web site links that provide an in depth and time consumming study of Islam.

Perhaps the most telling evidence can be found in the Qu’ran(Koran) itself. This was sent to me in an e-mail from a fellow traveler and friend;


Qur'an 5:72 "They are surely infidels who blaspheme and say: 'Godis Christ, the Messiah, the son of Mary.' But the Messiah only said: 'OChildren of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord."


Qur'an 5:73 "They are surely disbelievers who blaspheme and say: 'God is one of three in the Trinity for there is no Ilah (God) except One, Allah. If they desist not from saying this (blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall them - the disbelievers will suffer a painful doom."


Qur'an 5:75 "The Messiah, Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger;many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had to eat their food. See how Allah does make His signs clear to them;yet see in what ways they are deluded!"


Qur'an 5:116 "And behold! Allah will say: 'O Jesus, the son of Mary!Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' He will say: 'Glory to You! Never could I utter what I had no right."



Before I begin this list I must ask you some questions.

Can you spend the time to study and read the many articles listed at these web sites?
Will you read with an open mind and in an honest attempt to find the truth?
Will you pray sincerely for enlightenment from the God of Abraham?


Non-Christians, secularists, anti-God, etc., etc. will challenge this article but this isn’t for them. If you don’t believe in God or have a limited knowledge of Christianity do not attempt to confuse this discussion with your diatribe.
Having said that I know there are those arrogant and ignorant enough to try.

So I will issue a warning. You get one chance to make an intellectually honest comment, failure to do so will result in banning any further reponses from you. Period.

Not fair? Infringing on your freedom of speech rights?
Go tell it to someone who will sympathize. I will not.

My beliefs will not be compromised nor will I make concessions to you.

In fact I don’t really care what argument you may bring, I have heard them all before. Nothing you can say will convince me I am wrong in my beliefs.

If on the other hand you desire to know the truth and can be open minded then read on.Those of us that know the answers have a moral obligation to inform and perhaps educate. But it is up to you the reader to put in the time to study.


Reading is only a very small part of the solution. To achieve understanding you must also have a high percentage of comprehension.

This article is not for the “drive-by’s” who assume they will get their answer in 10 minutes or who may attempt to discredit this article. Nothing you can bring to the discussion will sway me to change my view. Many have tried….they failed miserably.

I’ve been threatened with everything including death and will NOT concede….EVER.
I will not submit and will not accept Islam in any way.
So don’t waste my time or your’s.

Our goal is to expose this religion of terror and warn of its danger. We also want to help Muslims see the absurdity of it, end their "us" vs. "them" ethos and embrace the human race in amity.

No one is their enemy; it is they who are the enemy to everyone else. We strive for the unity of mankind through the elimination of Islam, the most insidious doctrine of hate. Humanity is one. Let not charlatans like Hitler and Muhammad divide us with their big lies.

Islam can't be reformed, but it can be eradicated. It can't be molded, but it can be smashed. It is rigid, but brittle. That is why Muslims can't tolerate criticism of it. To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It's that simple. This was not possible before, but with the help of the Internet, it is now. The insanity of this creed is so glaringly obvious, it boggles the mind. All it takes to see that is to read the Qur’an.

The truth about Islam is out. It's here on this site. With truth and reason alone we can demolish this tall tower of lies. If you help spread the truth we can bring this house of cards down sooner than anyone can imagine. With truth, the decent Muslims will leave Islam and with each Muslim who leaves, we gain a new soldier in our fight against terrorism.

We are growing exponentially. The days of Islam are numbered and better days are ahead. Many of us will see that day. Meanwhile, we may have to go through dreadful times. A storm is approaching. It will wipe out Islam, but it will also destroy millions of lives in its path. We can avoid this Armageddon if we stop lying. Islam is not a religion of peace. It is evil.

It is a dangerous cult of death and terror. The proof is here. Let us tell the truth. Save lives, not lies.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Do something and save the world. To become a soldier in this army of light, all you have to do is face the truth.

So You Want To Sit This Election Out?

The American Election and Islam

This coming American election is not just about universal health care—it is also about the survival of the free world as we have come to know it. And therefore, it is also about Islam.

If we say we are for women’s rights or for human rights, then a candidate’s gender, skin-color, or age may not be as important as their ideas about Islam.

Do our candidates understand that we are really at war and that we cannot talk our way out of it? That charm, even of the spellbinding variety, is not enough, nor can we “take a meeting,” Hollywood-style, or Tammany-Hall style, to set things right. Nor is simple, old-fashioned heroics the answer to the kind of Orwellian propaganda and guerilla-terrorism that America and our allies will continue to confront in the 21st century.

Does our next President understand that we have to fight with everything we have and risk losing it all in order to hold onto any of it?

Why the West Is Best

My response to Tariq Ramadan, by Ibn Warraq

Last October, I participated in a debate in London, hosted by Intelligence Squared, to consider the motion, “We should not be reluctant to assert the superiority of Western values.” Muslim intellectual Tariq Ramadan, among others, spoke against the motion; I spoke in favor, focusing on the vast disparities in freedom, human rights, and tolerance between Western and Islamic societies.

Here, condensed somewhat, is the case that I made.


The Rowan Williams Comments: When Christian Leaders Promote Dhimmitude












Anglican Archbishop Rowan Williams says its time to bring Sharia law to Britain. Aside from Hindus, Christians, Jews, atheists, artists, homosexuals, drinkers, intellectuals and women, we can't possibly imagine anyone objecting to such a sensible suggestion.

Dhimmitude is the condition of second class citizenship that Christians and other minorities experience when living under countries with Islamic rule. This near slavery-like condition has been amply described and documented by many. Two volumes by Bat Ye’or should be consulted here: The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under Islam (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 1985), and, Islam and Dhimmitude: Where Civilizations Collide (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2001.)

It is not a condition any Christian should wish upon another. Yet that appears to be exactly what the Angelican Archbishop of Canterbury has just done. Dr Rowan Williams has just announced that he expects at least some elements of sharia law to be adopted in the UK. He said the UK had to “face up to the fact” that some citizens do not relate to the British legal system, and argued that officially sanctioning Sharia law – in the areas of marriage and divorce, for example - would improve community relations.There are many problems with the idea of allowing sharia law to co-exist in a democratic nation. It seems rather incredible that the Archbishop is either unaware of these major problems, or does not consider them to be much of an obstacle.

Let me examine just a few of the major shortcomings here.

Sitting out this election because you despise the nominee is exactly what our enemies are counting on.

The stakes are high, perhaps higher than at any other time in our history.
So choose wisely, and if you decide to sit this election out don't whine over what could follow.

Think about it. This isn't about "feelings".

Federal authorities say a high-level Muslim Pentagon aide, who led a campaign to
silence a Pentagon intelligence analyst for taking a hard line against Islam, is
running an "influence operation" on behalf of U.S. Muslim groups fronting for
the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Hesham H. Islam, a special assistant to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, recently criticized Maj. Stephen Coughlin, one of the military's leading authorities on Islamic war doctrine, for making the connection between the religion of Islam and terrorism.
After Islam lodged complaints, Coughlin's contract with the chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon was not renewed.
Islam also was upset with briefings Coughlin recently prepared for the U.S. military warning that major U.S. Muslim groups were fronting for the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement based in Egypt.
Islam, who was born and raised in Egypt, is heavily involved with one of the groups the Islamic Society of North America, which U.S. prosecutors last year named as a member of the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and an unindicted co-conspirator in a major terror-funding case.
Islam has persuaded his boss, England, to conduct various outreach with ISNA, including hosting the group's leaders in the Pentagon and speaking at its annual convention.

This email REALLY got my attention. I checked it with Snopes.com and they can't say for sure if its true or false BUT they do have a lot to say about it.

I'm posting this at the risk of being labeled a fear monger; but I feel responsible to get this word out. Maybe some authoritative source can inform us better as to what, if anything, can be (or is being) done.

Israeli Counterterrorism expert, Juval Aviv, met recently with reporters at Fox News and revealed information, which he believes is accurate, concerning an imminent Al Qaeda attack on five to seven American cities simultaneously.

"I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most," said Mr. Aviv.

Mr. Aviv knows of that which he speaks. He is a former Israeli Counterterrorism Intelligence Officer and has also served as a special consultant to the U.S. Congress on issues of terrorism and security. He is best known as the source of the 1984 book, Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by George Jonas, on which Steven Spielberg's film Munich was based. He is also the author of The Complete Terrorism Survival Guide: How to Travel, Work and Live in Safety (2003); and Staying Safe: The Complete Guide to Protecting Yourself, Your Family, and Your Business (2004). Currently, Aviv is the president of Interfor, Inc., a corporate investigations firm in New York City.

Considering Aviv's background and experience in global terror and its operating methods, it would be foolish to ignore or minimize this veteran's expert prognosis. Mr. Aviv told Fox that, from what his sources have been relating, sleeper cells already positioned inside the continental United States are on the verge of carrying out major attacks.

"What they're going to do," he explained, "is hit six, seven or eight cities simultaneously to show sophistication and really hit the public. This time, which is the message of the day, it will not only be big cities. They're going to try to hit rural America. They want to send a message to rural America: "You're not protected. If you figured out that if you just move out of New York and move to Montana or to Pittsburgh, you're not immune. We're going [to] get you wherever we can and it's easier there than in New York."

While this prediction leaves most Americans feeling helpless, fearful and frustrated, Aviv recommends that we at least do what we can. He suggests that for the next few months, if you are traveling by public transportation, equip yourselves with a bottle of water, a hand towel and a flashlight. He reminds us that many fatalities in the London tube and Madrid train attacks occurred from victims who breathed in the lethal fumes from bomb components and burning gasoline. Had these people had wet towels to cover their mouths and noses, they would have had a much better chance of survival.

In particular Aviv very strongly urges a policy of "If you See Something - Say Something". He reminds Americans that a great number of potentially lethal terror attacks in Israel have been - and still are - thwarted by the intelligent actions on the part of alert, aware and watchful citizens. Americans must do the same, he advises. The global war on terror is not "somewhere over there in the Middle East." It is here on our own soil. If ever there were a time to be especially vigilant, the time is now.

Let us hope and pray that these vicious enemies and their depraved plans will be prevented, and the perpetrators apprehended. US law enforcement, military, counter-terrorism and intelligence personnel have thus far done an outstanding job. Keep in mind, however, that the stakes are very uneven. Law enforcement and counter-terrorism agents must succeed 100% of the time in order to protect a population. Terrorists only have to succeed once to snuff out thousands of lives.

THEREFORE, please do not naively dismiss this article. Stay alert - stay away from crowds - and if you see something, say something! You could the one to save hundreds, if not thousands, of lives.

The prudent man prepares for eventualties. The fool laughs it off until something happens and finds himself completely unprepared.
